00:00I am with the Minister of Human Resources in this joint programme to launch a training programme for workers in the logistics sector,
00:18which is to train them to get license E and D for container lorry drivers.
00:26We can provide free training so that they can get license E and D,
00:33especially for prime mover drivers so that they can get a job in the port sector.
00:40Because we are facing a shortage of drivers, not only in the port sector, but also in the haulier drivers.
00:49For haulier drivers, they need license E.
00:52So what we are doing here is to train drivers who are working in the port sector.
00:58Because if they drive a prime mover in the port sector, they do not need license E in the port sector.
01:05But if they drive a haulier, they need license E.
01:10We can train up to 1,000 people to get license E.
01:17Next, when they get license E, they have a choice.
01:22Either they want to continue working in the port sector or work outside in the logistics sector.
01:27But this will also cause a shortage of drivers in the port sector.
01:32That is why we train another 1,000 people to get license D.
01:37Because with license D, they can become prime mover drivers in the port sector.
01:43So there will be no vacancy in the port sector.
01:47We hope that the port sector will not experience a shortage of drivers.
01:54At the same time, we train and provide experience and license to drivers who have experience in the port sector to work in the haulier sector.
02:04We see that there are two problems.
02:06One is the people's wage situation.
02:09The second is the transition of the country's industry to an industry that needs more skilled workers.
02:18So looking at these two pain points or gaps,
02:22Sumatra has collaborated with the Ministry of Transport to train more skilled workers.
02:30In this case, the lorry driver has a competent license, either D or E GTL.
02:35So we hope that we can not only meet the needs of the country's economy,
02:41with high-skilled investment, high-tech investment,
02:47but also provide employment opportunities with better wages.
02:52So this is one of the examples of cooperation with the Ministry of Transport.
02:55We will use this model, together with other ministries and agencies,
03:01to train more skilled workers with high-skilled jobs.
