00:00Today I'm very proud that in conjunction with the National Training Week, this whole week, 24th to the 30th of June, we are organising a National Training Week, organised by HRD. Can you give them a round of applause?
00:15As of today, this National Training Week is just in its third day, until 30th of June, we have managed to record almost 65,000 free skills training courses all over the country.
00:36With almost 280,000 enrolments, including in Johor Bahru. And today's Neurodiversity Workshop is part of this National Training Week programme.
00:55I'm pleased that last year, HRD Corp initiated the OKU Talent Enhancement Programme, which was designed to help persons with disabilities, including Neurodivergent individuals, to acquire the right skills and helping them to match to a suitable career path.
01:23And in this aspect, during the pilot stage last year, HRD Corp managed, with partnership with our corporate partners, to provide, because this is the pilot stage, 30 Neurodivergent individuals with skills training, resulting in 15 of these individuals receiving job placement and employment.
01:47Again, congratulations to HRD Corp.
01:52This is a promising start. We have corporate partners such as HRB Bank, Aeon and many more.
02:00Inspired by the success of the pilot programme last year, and of course inspired by the leadership of Tuku Aminah, support of Neurodivergent individuals, I'm pleased to announce that HRD Corp will continue the OKU Talent Enhancement Programme this year.
02:25So last year it was pilot, a smaller programme. This year, we are going to put in a budget of RM2 million to support this programme.
02:34With the budget of RM2 million, how many OKUs can be trained?
02:41We will see, because it is not difficult to calculate in terms of how many aspects, because each programme is special and specific to certain groups.
02:55For example, in terms of visibility, they need a different programme with different costs compared to Neurodivergent individuals.
03:05We will make an announcement from time to time, and this RM2 million is also an initial announcement.
03:11I would like to see the impact of this initial announcement.
03:15I actually appreciate the statement and partnership from the corporate partners.
03:23We have to create an environment where everyone is welcome, where everyone feels accepted as part of the community.
03:47We have to create an environment where everyone is welcome, where everyone feels dignified.
03:54So we want to invite the corporate partners and NGOs to come forward together with the government of Sumatra to succeed in this programme.
04:17Thank you.
