Routine Rural Life In A Village In Northern @Rural Cuisine

  • last month
Today, I woke up to the sound of rain hitting the tin roof of our cottage. I love rainy days. I took care of my chickens and chicks for a bit, fed them, and then started preparing my own breakfast. I thought to myself, in this cold and rainy weather, nothing can be better and more invigorating than kachi (a type of porridge), so I got to work without hesitation.
The combination of kachi spice with saffron, and cardamom creates a delightful experience when eaten. In the past, this nutritious breakfast was often prepared for those who were ill or had a weak constitution.

Ingredients for 6 servings:
6 Cups Water
1 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Brewed Saffron
1/2 Cup Rose Water
1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Liquid Oil
1 Teaspoon Turmeric
100 gr Butter
1 Tablespoon Full of Kachi Spice Blend
1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder..
