00:00Which team do you think has more success in year one?
00:06Do you think it's Oklahoma or Texas?
00:08I think Oklahoma certainly may have the better defense going into the SEC, but they haven't
00:15shown defense, Bill, in a long time in the Big 12.
00:18This is going to be a major transition for them.
00:20Well, one trend to watch in the SEC at large, and especially with these two schools as they
00:25come in, can you protect home?
00:28In the last 10 years, six SEC schools won 70% of their home games.
00:32Now you'll say, well, no kidding.
00:34Schools like Georgia and Alabama, they never lose.
00:37But I'm talking about Florida, and I'm talking about Auburn.
00:40It is hard to win on the road in the SEC.
00:42So can Texas protect their home?
00:45Can they win those home games?
00:46Can they make Texas an inhospitable place to play?
00:50And that'll be the key for them in year one.
00:51I think they're a little bit better positioned than Oklahoma, even with the injuries at
00:56running back, to make an impact in year one.
00:59But Oklahoma's kind of flying under the radar.
01:01We've talked so much about Texas and the quarterbacks and Arch Manning.
01:04You forget, Oklahoma's got a five-star quarterback in Jackson Arnold.
01:08Oklahoma's really good at home.
01:10I mean, they've won 86% of their games at home in the last 10 years.
01:13So I think the Sooners are a little bit undervalued, but at the same time, they're going to have
01:18to answer the bell with that defense against a—they have, like Florida, have a very,
01:22very tough SEC schedule.
