00:00The Manhattan Animal Care Center had found a dog who was stumbling and falling down in
00:17a park.
00:18So they brought him into the shelter as a stray.
00:20He had a big old wound on his head.
00:23He walked out of the two double doors and was very shut down looking.
00:29We went on a little walk and he seemed to know once we were in the car that, oh, we're
00:34going somewhere.
00:36And when we brought him home, he just made himself right at home.
00:42Webby is just the sweetest wobbly dog.
00:45When we say wobbly pup, it's a condition that's called cerebellar hypoplasia, which sounds
00:50very dramatic, but it really just means that he is a little bit uncoordinated.
00:54He's not in pain.
00:55It doesn't hurt him at all.
00:56All it really means for him is that he kind of does a very cute little sachet when he
01:02walks.
01:04It seems like when he has really big feelings, his body can't process it.
01:08And so if he's so excited, he'll fall very gently up against like a cabinet or a wall
01:13and his legs will try to move.
01:15But you can see that he just needs a couple of seconds.
01:17He's just buffering.
01:20One of his favorite activities for sure is being on top of you, cuddling, snoozing.
01:28It might just take him a little extra couple seconds to try to get on the couch.
01:34But he does it.
01:36He works his way up.
01:40He loves to have people with him.
01:44He loves to sit in your lap when you're working.
01:48He loves that connection with humans.
01:51And I think he really needs that.
01:53We say that his front legs and his back legs are on different channels.
01:56And sometimes the front legs have decided that they're done running, but the back legs
01:59didn't get the memo and it causes a little bit of a spin out.
02:03He's genuine about wanting to do everything right, but he doesn't always hit the mark.
02:07He's just like unapologetically himself.
02:09The hardest thing for him is going up and down our little stairs in the backyard.
02:13But he finds a way.
02:15Webby is the tippy tap king.
02:18I would say they have levels.
02:19So like level one is just sort of front paws.
02:23And then level two is like he gets all four paws going and he's sort of got a little wiggle
02:27with it.
02:28And then like full mode of tippy taps is four paws fully jumping in the air off the ground.
02:35It's like a bunny.
02:36At this point, we've been fostering Webby for over four months and that's the longest
02:41that we've ever had a foster dog.
02:46We're definitely trying to make every day a new experience for him.
02:53He was a stray and so a lot of these things are new to him.
02:58He's definitely made a lot of progress and there's still more progress to be made.
03:03Webby deserves a forever home and this is his temporary home and he's welcome here as
03:08long as it takes.
03:09He's a special boy who needs a special person and that person is out there and I'm very
03:14confident he'll find them soon.
