00:00You make a birdie on 8 to go from 54th inside to 48th, right?
00:12So you're 50th when you make par at 10, but by the time you get to the 11th tee and put
00:16a tee in the ground, you're back to 52nd.
00:19You're on the outside.
00:20And birdie at 13, you go 52nd to 47th.
00:24Birdie at 15, go 48 to 44.
00:28And birdie at 16 to go 45th to 38, so sitting comfortably inside.
00:33How do we feel after the bogey at 18 to go from 41st to 48th?
00:37Yeah, I mean, I didn't know a lot of that stuff going on.
00:40You know, there's some leaderboards out there and there's some projections that come out.
00:43But like when you're playing, you don't see really anywhere near that type of volatility.
00:50So I obviously knew that I was doing good stuff.
00:54I was making birdies.
00:55And every time I looked at it, it seemed to be getting a little better.
00:59And then, you know, bogeying 18 wasn't what I had in mind.
01:03But with the tee shot, I think I did well to do that.
01:06It was a good bogey.
01:07If you didn't get a chance to watch Eric on the 18th hole, you get on on the tee.
01:11And we set it up as because I was on the ground.
01:14I'm listening to the guys in the booth like really just anything out to the right.
01:18He's going to be able to coast through.
01:20And next thing you know, I hear, oh, my gosh, he pulled it.
01:22So what's going through your brain when the ball comes off the face and you realize I'm
01:27going to have to fight maybe a little harder than I was hoping to?
01:31Yeah, I didn't want to bail out to the right.
01:35You know, those bunkers aren't real great.
01:37And, you know, right.
01:38It's not it's better than the water, but it's not a real great spot to be.
01:40So I was trying to kind of take a strong line as I could and, you know, just hit it off
01:46the toe and kind of immediately knew that it was going in the water.
01:50So and it didn't cross or anything like that.
01:52So, you know, it wasn't wasn't what I was hoping to look up for on that 18th day.
01:58But then, you know, after that, it was actually a lot of decision making with my caddy.
02:04Like, yeah, you know, be aggressive with the next one.
02:06That's where the drop.
02:07Right.
02:08Yeah.
02:09You can go.
02:10I could have gone back 40 yards back and hook like maybe a five wood or four iron even.
02:15Yeah.
02:16So, you know, that was an option.
02:18But, you know, I don't think I could have ever gotten it on the green.
02:21So without being able to get it on the green, it just seemed like a huge risk for not not
02:27enough upside.
02:28So I decided to lay it up and, you know, hit a decent wedge in there that went a little
02:31further than I thought and then made that putt.
02:33So, I mean, the putt was fantastic.
02:35You walked it in like so nonchalantly, making a 15 footer to make to the BMW.
02:40And we all talked about this the entire year, how important it is to get inside the top
02:4450.
02:45You can plan your entire schedule next year based on those signature events.
02:50First off, congratulations there.
02:52And last question as it pertains to yesterday.
02:55When you're on the 18th tee, did you or your caddie know exactly where you stood and did
03:01you ask for any clarification why you're on the hole on what you may have needed to do?
03:05But there's so much that could have happened, right?
03:07Yeah.
03:08I mean, like you said earlier, I teed off so early.
03:10There's so much movement that other guys can, you know, influence where I stand.
03:15So I didn't really talk about where I was or anything like that on the tee.
03:20But then once I hit in the water, I was kind of asking like my caddie read.
03:23I was like, you know, if I if I make a bogey, do you think that's good or, you know, kind
03:29of like, well, it made a huge difference with how aggressive I had to be with that second
03:32shot, you know, if he or third shot, I guess, after dropping.
03:36But, you know, if he thought I had to make a par, then, you know, it's a completely different
03:40story.
03:41You just never know what.
03:42Yeah.
03:43He was like, you know, if you make bogey, you should be good.
03:44So that's kind of the only time we really talked about it.
