00:11Frozen 3 has just received an exciting new update but some information has raised major

00:17questions about the franchise, risking Frozen's future.

00:20Frozen 3's release date window is now known but this is already creating a major problem

00:25for the Disney franchise.

00:27Frozen 3 is one of the most highly anticipated movies on Disney's release schedule with

00:32it following up onto previous smash hits.

00:35However, fans still have to wait a while before seeing Frozen 3 in theatres with this surprising

00:40release window signalling that the franchise may be in some trouble.

00:442013's Frozen was one of Disney's biggest hits since the Disney renaissance with it

00:49kicking off an all-new marketable brand for the company.

00:52The film was so big that it had a hand in changing Disney's stance on animated sequels

00:57which famously had a pattern of being bad direct-to-DVD follow-ups.

01:01However, 2019's Frozen 2 got a theatrical release and was another smash hit, showing

01:07that the series still had legs 6 years later.

01:10Now, two more Frozen movies are currently in the works but they may still be a little

01:14while off.

01:16Release date window for Frozen 3 is surprisingly far away.

01:20Disney has announced that Frozen 3 has a release window of 2026, meaning that the long-awaited

01:25sequel is still a few years from being seen.

01:28It isn't known exactly when in 2026 Frozen 3 will release but since both previous films

01:35in the franchise released in November of their respective years, it wouldn't be surprising

01:39to see Frozen 3 release in November 2026.

01:43The announcement that Frozen 3 isn't releasing until 2026 is a bit shocking.

01:49As that release date window seems to be surprisingly far away.

01:53Since Frozen 2 released in 2019, that would mean that there is a 7-year gap between the

01:58two sequels, with this being even longer than the gap between Frozen and Frozen 2.
