00:00Hey guys, do you feel like we're being watched?
00:26Huh?
00:30As the GM of BP Animation, I'd like to welcome my fellow cultivators from Faction 60's Class Elite.
00:37With over 80 employees, we're one of the largest animation studios in all of Huashu.
00:43We do key animation, backgrounds, 3D, action scenes, photography, you name it, we do it all in-house.
00:49Magical trinkets? Oh, high above? Mr. Surprise? Were those yours?
00:54That was some of our early work. Speaking of, we just started production on Time Cuts Like a Knife and Impractical Magic.
01:01Excuse me, can we try what you do?
01:04Of course you can. We have many institutes across Huashu.
01:08Visit a local branch and try your hand at the art of liver bursting.
01:11If you've got a real passion for animation, you can visit us anytime.
01:16Alright, here we are.
01:20Welcome students, to BP Animation.
01:25These are scribbles, not a storyboard! Director!
01:30Where's your project? You've had 49 days!
01:38We're finally here. I guess this is where the magic happens.

03:41Collaborative effort between multiple teams, and it's her job to coordinate them
03:45She's am I happy to see you as our company's producer. She's capable of anything. I'm not sure what we'd do without her
03:54Hey, she's trying to tell you something
03:59What's up?
04:01Our director, well, we just disappeared
04:07He did what
04:10This project is slated to go live in a few days and you're telling me the director suddenly up and vanished
04:26Well, don't just stand there go out and find him
04:39Well class elite you said you wanted to try what we do right? Well, who's ready to experience what it's like to be a director?
04:56Most of the works been knocked out already. Anyway, the only thing left for you is the final content review
05:02Everyone listen up as they say the fans know our material better than anyone now the director may be absent
05:13But we have fellow cultivators visiting from faction 60 as such
05:17They'll be taking over the directors duties for the remainder of the day. I hope you'll take their suggestions. Seriously. I
05:25Know it's probably too late
05:28First up, let's check out the key animation department with 12 episodes a season
05:34It's hard for the director to check every detail
05:37So we have what we call conductors oversee individual episodes. You can think of them as the sub directors for each one
05:45After meeting with the director, they'll divvy up the work for these amazing key animators
05:54Did you draw each frame
05:57That is what a key animator does, right? Are you satisfied directors? Not bad, I suppose
06:03There is one small problem though
06:05Should I say it?
06:07fire away
06:09There's some frame loss here. And these are just scribbles. This doesn't look like the animation I'm used to
06:17This is the first step then after I'm done the conductor and second animator refine it a
06:23Supervisor gets it next then the assistants fill out the frames if everyone's busy already who fixes the mess
06:30We have limited manpower
06:33Some films have a hundred and twenty frames per second. Why does animation keep getting lower?
06:38I'm pretty sure Disney cartoons are all 24 frames per second. Some others are only eight
06:44Cameras do the work in films, but animations are hand-drawn. You can't hold animators to that standard
06:5224 frames per second Billy Billy boom of all the martial arts speed is what I need
07:05Live her first
07:07That's right. You sure know your magic kid the animator enlightened his pen and now it can draw by itself
07:15Only a golden pill phase can do that
07:17Why don't they just draw like this all the time?
07:20The art of liver bursting is so intense that if they did it too often they'd end up in the ICU
07:30Look no, it's 24 frames per second
07:42Director are you finally satisfied? I do play a lot of triple-a games
07:49So it still looks too low
07:52How about 60?
08:12We just lost another key animator, I guess we won't be getting 60 frames per second
08:20You want to see 60 frames per second?
08:26This is the print department after receiving the backgrounds and key animations
08:30You just observed the team uses a post composite software and they bring all of it to life
08:36They're also responsible for special effects like blur
08:39reflections you name it
08:42Composite and print can't be completed until materials are received from the other departments
08:46These guys are basically on call and when the time comes to do their job, the producer goes and wakes them up
08:54And you're about to witness a miracle
09:07What nah, it's just an interpolation plug-in
09:11This is nothing I could do 120 even up to 1200 if you really want it
09:17If that's true, why would you ever draw them by hand?
09:22The AI in the plug-in isn't perfect see this but the frame rate is so high it's hard to notice
09:29So what do you think satisfied now, mr. Frames?
09:36I think these new animations are kind of soulless
09:42I
09:58Next we're going to swing by the art department
10:00They
10:06Aren't just drawing scenery influencing the tone of the entire project
10:10Think about when you have a hopeful scene, you'll see a golden dust
10:14But if the project is sad, you'll need a gloomy backdrop to develop the convincing setting
10:20It takes a lot of time and effort and years of experience can help too. So if you have any other suggestions, please
10:30All right, thank you when you're done you can go back to your hometown and get married
11:00Oh
11:15Something wrong, what's up master? The world's spiritual value is dropping
11:24There's nothing I can do now
11:28We've lost too many good people
11:31Finish this episode
11:34Don't give up just yet
11:37We're here to help you you're fine
11:41You
11:42Yes, ma'am, not to brag but we're quick learners
11:47Which means we're basically experts after that tour
11:50Yeah, but to pick the animator it takes years of training miss Wong
11:56Don't forget when we first started we were just like them so blissfully inexperienced
12:04But look at us now
12:05Good job. Look at their sincerity and enthusiasm
12:09That's real love of animation. We must believe in them because these kids they're the future of washu
12:26You should each have part of a storyboard on your desk draw your pictures as described
12:35The directors are pretty busy so the storyboard might be kind of rushed
12:40Key animators requested to improvise here. What the hell?
12:44Some directors don't draw action. Well, so they may ask the best key animators to make that up
12:57It shouldn't be this difficult
12:59Of course, it's difficult
13:01Beginners required to practice drawing solid lines for the first three months then countless circles and straight lines until they can draw without squiggling
13:10I'm afraid I just don't have a knack for drawing
13:13Oh
13:24Way if I can think it my pen can draw it
13:31No, I learned the art of enlightenment, all right, no more shaky hands long link you're a genius
13:44Hmm
13:45Hey boss, they're ready. Please. Take a look
13:50Miss Wong, what does the supervisor do?
13:54Sometimes animators can draw the same characters, but with subtle differences. So in a perfect world, she just unifies the drawings
14:02But some animators just aren't very good
14:05So she might have to spend extra time on the details and may even have to edit the whole thing
14:10What happens if the animation is too bad to correct
14:14Then she usually gives them some feedback and ask them to start over
14:19Jeez, it takes so long to pump these out. I can't imagine having to start over
14:31There's no way I'm leaving these twisted things on my computer
14:40Making cartoons is so much harder than I thought. I guess there's really nothing we can do now
14:59Master the world's force value is almost gone. The dimensions are about to collapse. What should we do?
15:04Not this again
15:26The director, where is he
15:34Oh
15:54They're working hard
16:04Never gonna finish that storyboard. Give me a sec
16:21The director's back
16:25Conductor how are the key animations going any unfinished scenes try moving that back two frames
16:34Professional mr. Rector is the real deal
17:04Hey
17:14Thank you for creating this beautiful world
17:34Oh
18:04Yo
18:24So I'm young gun shop towel each and bad guy
18:34No, she won't run pushing the chasm
18:39Each other she
18:41Eat me some home. Don't worry
