00:00Good morning to all. Today is August 18, 2024 and here is the update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:08At the moment, the low pressure area or LPA that we are monitoring yesterday is outside our area of responsibility and it is not affecting any part of our country.
00:21Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon is still raging here in the area of the extreme northern Luzon,
00:27where today it will bring a cloudy sky and high chances of rain, lightning and thunderstorms in the Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
00:37Meanwhile, here in the lower part of our country, it will be partly cloudy until the sky is still cloudy.
00:45We still have the possibility of isolated or sudden and short-term rain, lightning and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoons and nights, as well as localized thunderstorms.
00:57At the moment, we are not monitoring or observing any bad weather that could affect our country.
01:05And for the weather forecast for this Sunday, it will be a cloudy sky in the Batanes and Babuyan Islands,
01:15and the chances of rain will be high, especially when it reaches nightfall.
01:23So be careful for our countrymen in the possibility of flooding and landslides.
01:29Meanwhile, here in the lower part of Luzon, including Metro Manila,

02:13The temperature in Metro Manila is from 26 to 35 degrees Celsius.
02:20Meanwhile, in Visayas and Mindanao, we will still experience cloudy skies.
02:28We still have the possibility of isolated or sudden rain, lightning and thunderstorms, as well as localized thunderstorms.
02:36And during severe thunderstorms, we can still experience heavy rain that can cause floods and landslides.

02:48The temperature in Cebu is from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:52And in Davao, it is 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.
