00:00In the middle of a real controversy here early on, and Kono, we were saying before, is prone to make mistakes.
00:06As he dropped the ball from his hand then, is that to be deemed a foul?
00:11As teacher places it in the net by my book, no.
00:15But you can probably guess from the reaction of the supporters, that the referee has not allowed the goal.
00:24Bunsol comes forward, Vaz, Dolobart right behind him, but Vaz has done well here.
00:32Oh, and they were very lucky then, Espanola made a mess of things, and it's gone in.
00:37A scrappy goal, and then Kono has to take some of the blame for that.
00:41But the main thing is, that Peter, the Brazilian, has given Leverkusen the lead.
00:47The danger came from this fine run down the right, and really Espanola have only themselves to blame.
00:54The ball fell luckily for them in the first place, and then Kono and his defenders got themselves in an almighty tangle there,
01:00and Peter slipped in to score. 1-0.
01:07Here's Reinhardt.
01:09Here's Reinhardt.
01:12Good ball forward, and Tauber gets his first piece of action, and a good looking cross to him, and Kono, it's a brilliant goal!
01:20They pulled another one back.
01:23Goertz, on the end of the cross, and what a dramatic substitution.
01:27Tauber, who'd only been on the field for less than a minute, with a superb cross, brilliant play here by Tauber,
01:35holding off the challenge, and what a magnificent cross that was.
01:38But how well Goertz came thundering in to meet it, and Kono beaten again.
01:4218 minutes gone in the second half, it's 2-0.
01:4710 minutes on the clock.
01:49One goal, separating Bayer Leverkusen from the possibility of extra time at least.
01:56And there's a great header, and it's there! They've done it, they've pulled another goal back.
02:05Chaar, I think it was, who got the header in from the free kick, and astonishingly, Bayer Leverkusen have pulled three goals back.
02:14And the match isn't over yet.
02:17A beautifully fighted free kick, the header was firm and strong, and look how high he rose above the rest.
02:25Into the corner of the net, and Chaar makes it 3-3 on aggregate.
02:30So, three all on aggregate at the end of normal time. Extra time failed to produce anything decisive, so, a penalty shootout.
02:38So, the Espanol captain and their most experienced player, Picchi Alonso, will take the first of their nominated five penalty kicks against the Leverkusen keeper, Volbon.
02:59And he scored, 1-0 to Espanol.
03:03Meyer takes the first kick for Leverkusen against Thomas Nkono in the Espanol goal.
03:14Oh, and he saved it! Nkono has saved it!
03:17So, the fullback job with a chance to make it 2-0, and has done so.
03:212-0 to the Spaniards.
03:25It's an anxious moment for Leverkusen.
03:28Their captain, Wolfgang Rolf, really has got to score this one to keep the minute.
03:34And he does so. 2-1 on penalties to Espanol.
03:43Kjaergen, the next penalty for Espanol, and he's missed it!
03:47So, the Stages quo returns again in this game. It's still 2-1 to Espanol.
03:58Herbert Vaas with the opportunity to draw Leverkusen a level from penalties, and he's taken it very neatly.
04:06It's 2-2 on penalties.
04:08Zuniga will take the next penalty kick for Espanol.
04:12Look at Volbon's antics. Reminds you of Brovlar a few years ago.
04:15And it's worked! Because he's missed it, and Volbon celebrates.
04:20And that could be a very important save indeed.
04:23Though you have to really talk about gamesmanship, the way he was acting then as Zuniga stepped up to take it.
04:30And I'm a little bit surprised the referee let him get away with that.
04:38Substitute, Tauber, and now make it 3-2 to Leverkusen, if he scores.
04:45And he has!
04:53So, Lozada, who scored two goals from open play in the first leg of this UEFA Cup final, has to score here.
05:02Otherwise, Espanol have lost the UEFA Cup.
05:06And look at the goalkeeper's antics again. And he's missed it!
05:10Volbon and Bayer Leverkusen have won the 1988 UEFA Cup.
