Cloudy, wet and breezy on Thursday as a cold front sink south-eastwards, possibly lingering across south-east England by Friday morning. Turning drier and brighter as we head towards the weekend with long sunny spells.

00:00Cloudy, damp and breezy on Thursday as a cold front pushes south-eastwards across the country
00:05bringing outbreaks of rain. This rain will be heavy for a time in the north but will
00:09turn increasingly light and patchy on Thursday afternoon and evening as it sinks southwards
00:13across England and Wales. Turning fresher and brighter in northern areas once that rain
00:19has cleared with some sunny spells developing. On Thursday night this rain will continue
00:23to clear south-eastwards, possibly lingering across the far south-east of England as we
00:28move into Friday morning. The rest of Friday there will be plenty of dry and sunny weather
00:33around but a scattering of showers will develop across the far north-west. Now as we look
00:38ahead into the weekend it should stay mainly dry with sunny spells but there will be a
00:42few showers developing and these will be generally for western regions.
