Students across the country receive their A Level results today and for one Blackpool Student it has been a very special day indeed.
Lucy-Mae Cheatle studied at Blackpool Sixth Form college and was over the moon when she received her A Level results today.
Miss Cheatle secured her place at Oxford University, where she will study Medicine, through her amazing A-level grades. She achieved an A* in Biology, an A in Chemistry, and an A in Mathematics. She also completed an extended learning task, for which she achieved an A*.

00:00So what subjects are you studying at Hayward?
00:04Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
00:06Were you nervous to pick up the results?
00:09Yeah, I was quite nervous. I had my mum sat with me and I was shaking the whole time.
00:15I was excited as well, but very nervous, yeah.
00:19So how do you feel about the results now that you've got them?
00:22Really happy, yeah. I'm like over the moon.
00:26So, obviously you're talking about getting into, you've got into Maths.
00:31Yes.
00:32How does that feel? How excited is that?
00:34I'm so excited, just because how different it is to other university experiences
00:38and being able to experience such like an academic place,
00:42which feels like a big step up from sixth form. So excited about that.
00:46What are you going to be studying at Oxford?
00:49Medicine.
00:51Medicine at Oxford, yeah.
00:55Looking forward to it.
00:57Really looking forward to it, yeah.
