Now, summer may very well be here, but that doesn’t guarantee good weather, particularly not up north.
As a result, we’ve been on the lookout for fun things to do for families to kill some time on those rainy days.

00:00Now, when the sun's shining like this, Manchester really is one of the best places in the country.
00:04Even when it's not, we've still got lots for you and your family to do to keep yourself busy over the summer.
00:09So, let's go see one, shall we?
00:11Now, this is Challenge Point.
00:13So, this whole place really is like an ode to TV games.
00:17So, I'm going to go on the journey, I suppose. I'll try not to lose too heavily.
00:21And, yeah, you can come along with me.

00:26So, you play seven games while you're there. Each of them are through, like, a different hidden door.
00:30So, this is Supermarket Beep, where you've got to scan items and then smash the button down.
00:35I've just been locked in a room and told that I've got to press a button on a wall to get out and there's going to be lasers.
00:40So, if this is the last you ever see of me, that's why.
00:43Please don't think less of me for seeing this footage. That's all I have to say.
00:50So, I've played two games. It's not an exaggeration to say I am exhausted at the minute.
00:55Already, there's five more left to go.
00:57So, it's a really, you know, physically active thing, but great for kids.
01:01After you've done a couple of games, they have your spinner wheel.
01:03I lost points here.
01:04I've just been roundly laughed at because I got minus points.
01:08So, some of the other games were this golf one, where, you know, it's fairly obvious.
01:12You've got to put as many balls in as you can over five minutes.
01:15Then there's the charades one, where I've got a member of staff to join me.
01:18And then, finally, this shooting one, where you've got to shoot the correct answer.
01:22But here's how it went.
01:24With 350 points.
01:28That doesn't sound right to me. What do you think?
01:30It's a cheater.
01:31Well, we had a look, and you have cheated on every single game.
01:34So, we're going to have to disqualify you.
01:36Which means 99 points. Great.
01:39So, I didn't win. I got outed as a cheater for using staff.
01:44And I'm not bringing the million pound cheque with me.
01:46But, even so, it's been a pretty good time.
01:50And it's, again, the perfect place to bring kids if the weather outside isn't exactly what you want.
01:55And kill some time during the summer.
