00:00Malaysia Airlines has apologised over a prolonged delay of its flight MH165 from Doha, Qatar
00:13to Kuala Lumpur that was scheduled to depart yesterday.
00:17In a statement, the airline said it is working hard to resolve the issues related to its
00:22aircraft engine and is committed to minimising further disruptions to its operations.
00:28It said passengers have been reallocated on flights offered by Qatar Airways, while
00:33some are being accommodated at hotels near the airport in Doha with full board meal arrangements.
00:40The airline also said the delay had affected subsequent flights from Kuala Lumpur to Doha
00:45and back, scheduled today and tomorrow.
00:48Earlier, a traveller shared a post on X that some co-chair passengers en route to Kuala
00:53Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines were stranded at Qatar's Hamad International Airport for
00:59more than 24 hours.
01:01According to flight tracker Flightradar24, MH165 was scheduled to depart from Hamad International
01:08Airport at 8.05am local time yesterday, but the flight was cancelled.
