NFL Rookies: Caleb Williams & Jayden Daniels Shine in Debut

00:00On Saturday, bright and early, noon eastern time at MetLife, the
00:07Commanders and the Jets, Jaden Daniels, second overall pick in
00:10the 2024 NFL draft makes his first start for Washington.
00:15About an hour later, not in New Jersey, but actually in New
00:19York, Western New York, Caleb Williams, his NFL debut on the
00:24road in Buffalo against the Bills. Let's start there, DRS
00:28with these rookie quarterbacks on display. Anytime you have six
00:32QBs taken in the first 12 selections of an NFL draft,
00:36they are going to get your attention. Caleb Williams, two
00:39drives, four of seven, 95 yards, leading two scoring drives,
00:43both resulting in a field goal. Chicago beats Buffalo 33-6, and
00:49you saw some flashes of the athleticism of Williams,
00:54throwing dimes on the run. Have to like what you see out of
00:59Caleb Williams in Chicago to start. Oh, the expectations
01:03certainly are high. I like to see him get a little bit of run
01:05this early in the preseason as well, but granted, you know,
01:07they're not, they're in their official game number two when
01:10most people are in their game number ones, so it does make
01:12some sense, but he does look the part and that's all you want
01:14to see. Give me a glimpse of what the future is. Let these
01:16guys get those dress rehearsals out of the way and get prepared
01:19for the regular season. I liked everything I saw from a lot of
01:22these rookie quarterbacks over the weekend that are expected
01:25possibly to be franchised guy, Caleb Williams included.
