00:00We'll talk about Bears franchise history in just a moment, but Caleb Williams is not going
00:08to play tomorrow.
00:09It is confirmed in the Hall of Fame game.
00:11He was asked earlier this week, and he said, I want to, but I trust whatever the decision
00:16the coaches are making.
00:18Do you agree, DRS, that Caleb Williams should not be playing in the Hall of Fame game?
00:23Well, I always think rookies should play to sort of, you know, get their feet wet in the
00:27NFL and go through that game day, you know, putting on the uniform, getting ready, anticipation.
00:32I always think that's something, but sometimes people are short-sighted in this because when
00:36you see that Caleb Williams isn't going to play, if he does play, that doesn't mean he
00:40just gets reps.
00:41That means the entire starting offense, offensive linemen, tight ends, wide receivers, and running
00:45backs must all play with them because you're not sending your superstar rookie out there
00:50with fifth string guys that are going to be, you know, selling insurance in two weeks at
00:54this point.
00:55You need everybody in alignment here, and that's why the starters don't play.
00:58If one doesn't play, particularly a quarterback, look, that sends the domino down.
01:02He is going to play in the preseason, otherwise that would be ludicrous, but I just think
01:05the Bears are saying, look, I'm not sending my starting line out there to go with him
01:09just to have a series here.
01:11We'll get to that at a later time.
01:12I don't mind it.
