00:00Let me ask you about another guy that we've never talked about together is Pip Junior.
00:07Pippen's played really well.
00:09I think he's another guy that sees the floor pretty well.
00:11He's dropping about five dimes a game, scoring in double figures.
00:16They have to like what they see from this kid.
00:18They love it.
00:19And they got him in, you know, as a pickup last year during that just injury plagued
00:23entire season where they had 52 different starting lineups and brought 35 guys in through
00:29the doors.
00:30And Scottie was one of the guys that came on a two-way and stuck.
00:33And it's really remarkable when you break it down because he's never really been a playmaking
00:38point guard in his career.
00:39When he went to Vanderbilt, he was a scorer and he's a scorer.
00:42And now he's asked to do a little bit more on the playmaking side.
00:45And when Ja was out, his assist numbers were through the roof.
00:48I mean, he had multiple games with 10 assists.
00:51He had a 30-point 10-assist game in Chicago with a triple-double.
00:56And the last person to do that was his dad at that spot.
00:59So it was pretty cool to see that, too.
01:01And he's really humble.
01:03He understands his role.
01:04When Ja's there, his minutes go down.
01:05When Ja takes a night off, he's going to start.
01:08And you don't really miss a beat.
01:10He can put the ball in the bucket.
01:12Great court vision, like you said, Scottie, and just, you know, it's one of those guys
01:16where you look at him and you go, if you're 6'3 or 6'4, you're a star.
01:20Instead, you're 6'1 and you fought to get in here.
01:22Now you're not going to let it go.
01:24They're going to have to pry you out of here to tell you you can't play in the NBA anymore.
01:28And that's the type of work ethic that they're trying to build this organization around.
01:32I got one minute, respectfully.
01:34Aldama's another 7-footer that you got, and his numbers are mind-blowing.
01:40They really are.
01:41Like, I'd never heard of him.
01:42And, like, I never saw a kid play at Loyola.
01:44Let's just be honest.
01:46Yeah, Santi Aldama, just his last 15 games, he didn't have a good game Sunday.
01:51He was due for one, but 60% from the field, 60% three.
01:56I think the two years of playing for Spain in the international competition did wonders for him.
02:00He's in a contract year.
02:02Couldn't be a more humble, nicer guy.
02:04He's taken everything thrown his way and just put in the effort.
02:08And he's just a pleasure to be around.
02:10I'm really happy for the young man.
02:12And I think this offseason, he's going to see a bank account increase significantly.
02:17I'll bet.
02:18I'm rooting for him.
02:19I like him.
02:19Tell your boy, Jai, he's got a fan in Pharrell and his shoes.
02:23And he's a badass.
02:24He's fun to watch ball.
02:26I'm glad he's back, balling, and he's happy.
02:28I love you.
02:29Merry Christmas.
02:30Happy New Year.
02:31Good luck with your eye.
02:32Good luck with the grits.
02:34Chill the most, my man.
02:35Good to see you.
