00:16He has been the starting quarterback.
00:18He has been number one in terms of the QB room for the commanders all offseason and
00:23training camp long made official yesterday, Jaden Daniels will start week number one for
00:28Washington on the road against Tampa Bay.
00:32Dan Quinn letting everybody know that Jaden Daniels is at command of this Washington franchise
00:38from the very start.
00:40Wasn't too long ago where we had that video from inside the locker room at Arizona State
00:43where they were cleaning out his locker after he transferred.

00:47Get him out of here to go to LSU and absolutely dominate to now be an NFL player and look

00:53We're not where it's not like Drake Mays.
00:54Like, oh, I wonder who's going to be the quarterback here over Jacoby Brissett.
00:56Like, you got to be kidding me here.
00:58Like, Drake Mays should be running away with that, but apparently in practices, he hasn't

01:02That's the complete opposite.
01:03And we're talking about Jaden Daniels.
01:05This guy's been phenomenal in practice, great in the preseason games and the prototype of
01:09the quarterbacks that we want in the future, an active arm.
01:12And you can't sack him.
01:13Why?
01:14Because he's faster than everybody on the football field.
01:17The future is bright for Washington.
01:18But just getting back to the coach speak, a defensive minded head coach absolutely saying
01:23to himself, I am going to put you in the best possible position.
01:26I'm going to get you a creative offensive coordinator so you can hit the ground running
01:31with some innovative concepts and use some things like your feet that are going to put
01:35the defense in peril.
01:36Love to see it.
01:37I think they handled it great.
01:38And also from a Washington commander's perspective, it felt like they signed a brand new football
01:42team across the board on offense and defense.
01:44In terms of saying, I'm going to start a young, talented rookie quarterback.
01:48Let's make sure we have a solid defense.
01:50Let's make sure we have solid coaching here.
01:52Let's make sure he has weapons to throw to in a good running back game where you have
01:56an ultimate third down back in Austin Echler and Robinson there can be that hammer early
02:00on.
02:01I love what they've done to put those surrounding pieces so he can have a good September and
02:05October and build towards his future by not setting a bad example.
02:08I go, hey coach, every time I drop back, I'm either getting sacked or nobody's wide open.
02:13This is what you're supposed to do.
02:14Unlike what we saw to Brian Flores and talked about.
02:17Talk up your young quarterback, give him the tools to succeed and let him go.
02:20And that's what's going to happen.
