00:30And Desirs is there!
00:44Fleckville go in the back of the Rangers net, and Motherwell are level.
00:49Fast lap journey, Rangers 2, Motherwell 1.
00:52Brzezinski! United go ahead!
00:56Drone in hail, with the dramatic late leveller for County!
01:02Scott Tiffany fires Dundee into the lead, there's an own goal!
01:06Dundee double their advantage, oh that could be a penalty.
01:10It is! Brilliant penalty.
01:13And Dundee are three up at half-time.
01:16Hearts have got one back, Dundee 3, Hearts 1.
01:23Good evening and welcome to Sports Scene.
01:25Week 2 of the William Hill Premiership season has even more to say for itself than week 1.
01:30Peter Grant and Michael Stewart with plenty to add on top of that as well.
01:34We start at Easter Road, after their dismal defeat at St Marin last weekend.
01:39Next up are Hibbs, the ominous prospect of a visit from the champion Celtic.
01:48It's a real tough test, but it's one that you should look forward to.
01:51I certainly am looking forward to it and I can feel the players are as well.
01:54You know, to test yourself against the best team in the league last season.
01:57It's about what we do today, we know Celtic are a very good side.
02:00But it's about us being disciplined.
02:01Pitch is great, the weather is great.
02:03Great opportunity to try and wrong the rights of last week.
02:07I think at this stage of the season where you have one game a week,
02:09we're not in qualifiers, so obviously we played well.
02:12But it's still the point of the season where the players maybe aren't quite up all of them to 90 minutes.
02:17So you always have to have a bench ready to change the game.
02:20So we've done the same last week and I'm sure we'll need that this week as well.
02:33Leicester Road's been a problematic venue for Celtic recently and for Brendan Rodgers.
02:37But they did win on their last visit, two Ademida penalties.
02:40The second late on saw them take three points,
02:43as they look to make it back-to-back wins at the start of their title defence.
02:47Hibbs keen to make sure they don't start with back-to-back defeats,
02:50and David Gray hand-starts to Levitt and Kukarevic.
02:54New signing Kieran Bowie is on the bench.
02:59It's the same 11 for Celtic, who had a good pre-season,
03:02and continued against Kilmarnock last weekend.
03:04New number one Schmeichel's only previous game here when he was on loan at Falkirk
03:08saw him lose 2-0 to a Benjaloune double.
03:12Hibbs kick off in the Edinburgh sunshine,
03:14festival time in the capital, of course.
03:18And Hibbs looking to make a game of it against the champions,
03:23who looked like they were just carrying on from last season
03:27when they won in match day one a week ago.
03:30Hoisted forward by Kuhn to Kiyoko.
03:34Flat back four for Hibbs today, Kiyoko enjoy playing against that,
03:37forces the save from Bursic, and Kuhn scores!
03:40Inside three minutes.
03:45Two goals in two games for Nicholas Kuhn.
03:50And it's the green and white team from Glasgow who go in front.
03:58Well, Kiyoko always plays off the shoulder of the defender,
04:02and that's going to be a problem all afternoon for Hibbs.
04:05Bursic could only parry it, and James Forrest was there
04:08to put it on a plate for the German.
04:10Who's looked good in the weeks building up to the season.
04:15And he scores early in match day two in the Premiership.
04:19There was nothing Bursic could do once it came back across the face of his goal.
04:24It is the perfect start for Celtic.
04:33Well, Hibbs' start to the season has been really good.
04:37Hibbs' start to the season has been pockmarked by the defeat to Kelty Hearts
04:42in the League Cup that ultimately meant they've got to go to Celtic Park
04:45in the second round next week, and then that 3-0 loss at St Mirren.
04:50All three goals coming in the second half.
04:53Callum McGregor winds one up, and that is sensational!
05:01Look at the reaction from his manager!
05:05And on the week, Callum McGregor ended his international career.
05:09He reminds us what Scotland will be missing.
05:15Oh, this is sheer class from McGregor.
05:18He's celebrating a decade in the Celtic first team now.
05:23He'd been given his debut in Iceland by Ronnie Dyla ten years ago.
05:28He made a scoring start to his career against KR Reykjavik on that evening.
05:34This is magnificent.
05:39Brilliant angle of it there, just swerved away from Bursic,
05:42and Celtic lead 2-0.
05:44We've not even played 20.
05:51No-clip ball for Johnston.
05:54Colours in the middle!
05:56And it comes off Ohara and off his bar.
05:59It could so easily have been three.
06:04This could be a really long afternoon for Hiberne in this.
06:07Ohara's fortunate.
06:11Because there's nothing Bursic can do.
06:20Here's Forrest.
06:23And he's kept it in play.
06:26That's a bit of help from Taylor.
06:29Here's Hitati.
06:31O'Reilly!
06:35The man of much interest.
06:38Looking to ink his name into this match,
06:41and Bursic wasn't moving.
06:44Well, it really is ominous for the other 11 clubs in the Premiership,
06:47the way with which Celtic have started the season.
06:53Here's Johnston.
06:55Goes down, goal kick only.
06:59Here's Joe Newell.
07:03Trying his best to ensure it doesn't get worse.
07:06Kuhn, from O'Reilly.
07:08Good skill.
07:10Ohara blocks.
07:12McGregor fancies another one!
07:15And Kuhn on the free kick!
07:18Ohara blocks.
07:21Ohara blocks.
07:24Ohara blocks.
07:27Ohara blocks.
07:29Ohara blocks.
07:31Ohara blocks.
07:33Ohara blocks.
07:35And Kuhn on the follow-up!
07:39And it's going to be a Hibs ball.
07:44O'Callaghan McGregor's effort took a big deflection,
07:47which whipped it off the goalkeeper's left-hand post here.
07:51You can see the flag going up.
07:54Because of that.
07:57He came back to McGregor, just one thing on his mind,
08:02and bounced off the goal frame.
08:06It's a long one for Kiyoko to chase.
08:08He's on to it as well!
08:11Keeper doesn't up.
08:18It's a long, clipped ball by Greg Taylor.
08:20It's a really good pass.
08:22And Kiyoko denied by Bursic here.
08:27Tough times for the Hibs boss.
08:29A legend at this club.
08:32He'll always have the ball.
08:35That credit in the bank.
08:37Here's an opportunity for Martin Boyle.
08:43He was in that famous Scottish Cup final winning side with his manager.
08:48He was in the squad on the matchday.
08:52He's got pace to burn, we know that.
08:55That's Boyle. Nobody in the middle, though.
08:58Better from Hibs.
09:02Big men up for Levitt's corner.
09:06And it comes.
09:09Celtic scramble it away.
09:11There are appeals, though.
09:15Celtic aren't interested.
09:18More Hibs want up the other end,
09:20and Forrest glides it through to Hatate.
09:22Here's Kiyoko.
09:24It's still in there.
09:27And O'Reilly.
09:31Forrest back to McGregor.
09:36Kuhn has been left all alone.
09:38That's not advisable.
09:40O'Reilly.
09:43Comfortable take in the end.
09:46More reports in the Sunday papers
09:49linking Matt O'Reilly with the Italian side
09:52and Europa League winners Atalanta.
10:01Miller.
10:03It has been better from Hibs since the interval.
10:06Particularly since the hour mark.
10:10Given themselves so much to do.
10:12Need to score now if they're to make a comeback.
10:16That's not the worst ball.
10:19Kukerevic threw up the left boot to try and make contact.
10:24It wasn't enough.
10:27Bernardo.
10:31Holding off Egbiteta,
10:33but straight to Miller,
10:35who decides to pirouette in the worst possible position.
10:38Just about.
10:40And that's just flashed by.
10:42By Mikey Johnston.
10:47That successful lone spell at West Bromwich Albion
10:50in the second half of last season.
10:53Miller.
10:56Pumps it forward.
10:59Bully giving chase.
11:01Gets away from Carter-Vickers!
11:03He's so unlucky!
11:06Well, that would have been some goal.
11:11Well, he's just bullied.
11:13Arguably the best centre-back in Scotland there.
11:16It's just not fair.
11:18He's just bullied.
11:20Arguably the best centre-back in Scotland there,
11:22and Carter-Vickers certainly over the last couple of seasons.
11:25He's been at Celtic,
11:27and he's unfortunate to see it crash off the bar.
11:35Yang.
11:36And Bernardo.
11:39Good ball! O'Reilly's header!
11:42And Persik's on to it eventually.
11:46He's caught a bit of Johnston as well.
11:52Bus knows by the looks of it.
11:55This is why Persik didn't hold on initially,
12:00and he's caught Johnston flush in the face there.
12:04So O'Reilly tried to make it free.
12:16Well, that's it.
12:18It is three points for Celtic,
12:20it's two wins out of two for Rodgers.
12:23Two defeats out of two for Ibs, though.
12:26These two will meet again in the second round of the League Cup a week today.
12:31Ibs won't exactly be relishing that,
12:33but they were better in the second half.
12:36You can't deny Celtic more than deserved winners.
12:41I thought we were very good in the game for large.
12:44I think there were moments in the second half where we
12:48went too long too early and didn't connect the game,
12:51which then stretches the game, which is not what we were wanting.
12:55But overall, we make a great start,
12:57showed a real top winning attitude in the game
13:01and we have quality.
13:03And the quality we showed to score two goals and maybe could have had a few more,
13:08or should have had a few more.
13:09I think we needed to be more clinical.
13:12But it's a really, really good win for us and a clean sheet.
13:15We rode our luck to half-time.
13:16We're probably quite fortunate to only go on at 2-0
13:18because we didn't carry anywhere near a threat in the first half.
13:23From a lack of bravery at times or just that final even set pieces,
13:27you know, nothing really went right for us in that stage.
13:30But second half was better from the point of view that we did carry more of a threat.
13:35But still a lot to improve on.
13:37But they did show a little bit more composure on the ball at times
13:39and a bit braver on possession as well.
13:41So the feeling at half-time compared to second half,
13:44yes, we're obviously really disappointed to lose the game.
13:47But we need to now remember how it felt first half, second half
13:51because we need to learn quickly because we've got that all to do again next weekend,
13:54which will be a different test again away from home.
13:56The sun shining on Leith, shining brightest on Celtic today.
14:00Early days, Peter Grant,
14:02but can you really see anybody keeping pace with Celtic this season?
14:07To be honest with you, Jonathan, the way they've started,
14:09all their top players are playing really well.
14:10And that's very difficult when it's an early start to the season.
14:13But in pre-season, they were excellent.
14:15Their big players are all available and fit.
14:17And that's very important, which didn't happen at the start of last season.
14:20I think people forget that.
14:21But more importantly, the quality they have.
14:23I think Brendan touched on it.
14:24The quality they have is way above anybody else in the Premiership at this moment in time.
14:28And I don't think anybody can argue with that.
14:30And if they keep producing what they're doing,
14:31it'd be great to hold on to the likes of Matt O'Reilly, of course.
14:34And it'd be great to have a few more bodies in.
14:36I'm sure Brendan's trying to do that also.
14:38So they're only going to get stronger.
14:40And if they're going to get stronger,
14:41that's a bit of worry for everybody else.
14:42Absolutely.
14:43I mean, Michael, the stats really speak for themselves
14:45in terms of Celtic's performance today.
14:47Nicholas Coon with the goal after just three minutes.
14:49Very impressive last weekend as well.
14:51How would you contrast and compare with what you saw today?
14:55Just a continuation, really.
14:57You know, everything that Peter was talking about there is spot on.
15:02The difference to last season in particular is just,
15:06I think, all the players are fit,
15:08firing on all cylinders and the speed,
15:10the penetration that they've got makes it very difficult to play against.
15:13You know, this is so early in the game,
15:15but there's a desire and a willingness to get in behind and hurt the opposition.
15:19There's no look or want to just keep the ball
15:24and be a little bit passive with a play.
15:26They're looking to go and kill teams off very early on.
15:29You see here, obviously, Keogh is having the strike
15:31and it's James Forrest as quick at reacting.
15:33And Lewis Miller, he's ball watching in the end.
15:36And likewise, at the back post there,
15:38Coon desperately getting into the danger area to try and get to the end of it.
15:42And I think when Coon came in in January,
15:45I still think there's time we'll tell whether he's going to be the answer,
15:49definitely or not.
15:52But the difference there is he was actually getting into these areas
15:55where they make a difference.
15:56I think far too often he was just playing on the periphery of the game.
15:58But certainly at the start of this season,
16:00it looks like he wants to go and hurt the opposition a lot more,
16:03as does the rest of the team.
16:05I have to say, as a Scotland fan, I was slightly disappointed midweek
16:08when I heard that Callum McGregor was retiring from international football.
16:12He's just 31 years of age, but obviously it's up to him.
16:15He knows what he wants to do in terms of making decisions
16:17about what's best for him, Peter Grant.
16:19And kind of rubbing salt in the wounds today
16:22with what a fantastic strike this was from him,
16:25showing Scotland fans what they will be missing in the years to come.
16:28Yeah, he's been a wonderful player for Scotland, as well as Celtic.
16:32He's just such a good player.
16:33He picks up the perfect areas.
16:35You can see his positional play on the pitch.
16:37I don't think he gets the credit for that.
16:38He's always aware, looking over his shoulders,
16:40you can see what all good midfielders do.
16:43He takes his first touch into an area, he knows where it's going.
16:45But what a wonderful strike and a wonderful finish.
16:47He's more than capable of that.
16:48He used to score a lot more goals, Callum.
16:50I think the role he plays on the team doesn't allow him that much time to do that.
16:53But, as I say, good players know how to play.
16:56You can see all the players round about them,
16:58are rallying him, moving about, telling each other where to go.
17:00He just comes off the game.
17:01I think he should put more pressure on the ball.
17:03They're too late coming out and Callum doesn't have to punish them.
17:06But what a talented boy.
17:07What does he play? Nearly 60 games a season?
17:09Yeah.
17:10And I think that's what he's looking at now.
17:11And that's just for Celtic.
17:12Forget Scotland, that's just for Celtic.
17:13He's nearly playing that.
17:14So I can understand why the Scottish things tend to backseat
17:18because of the injuries last season.
17:19But his positional play, as I say, to get on the ball
17:22and the space he finds in areas of the pitch,
17:24he's just awareness.
17:26You just think he's not playing against anyone.
17:28Because he's just so clever.
17:30And the way the team play, he just finds spaces all over the pitch.
17:33Their speed of play.
17:35And that is the big difference.
17:37Even at the back end of last season, where they were better,
17:40you saw the difference that it makes,
17:43the difficulty to play against,
17:45and the movement off the ball.
17:47The whole team, I think Peter mentioned it there before as well,
17:51that rather than just individuals,
17:53the collective unit is what's so impressive there at the moment for Celtic.
17:57Of course, they're going to look to try and strengthen.
17:59They need to if they're going to try and make an impact in Europe.
18:02But the collective unit working in unison,
18:05the speed, the power.
18:06I mean, it's a pretty all-round performance,
18:09the first two games in the league that they've had so far.
18:11And Peter mentioned about people forgetting that players were missing last season.
18:16There was a fair bit of criticism getting levelled at Brendan Rodgers as well.
18:19And I think people forget what he did to Celtic when he was first there.
18:23He took Celtic to a different level.
18:25And when the players started to come back last season,
18:28you could see what was coming.
18:30And that there, the first two games,
18:33has been ominous for the rest of the league.
18:35It's been hugely impressive, yes.
18:37As for Hibs, Michael, zero shots on target, 26% possession.
18:42What positives can they take from today, if anything?
18:46Well, I think David Gray was obviously talking about it there in terms of the second half.
18:50It was a bit better.
18:52But as much as these are poor mistakes,
18:55and they are very poor from Hibs,
18:57this is what Celtic are forcing them to do.
18:59They're putting so much pressure on the players here.
19:02And I think David Gray is right, and it's a fair comment,
19:05that there needs to be a greater deal of bravery from some of the Hibs players.
19:10In the second half here, you could see that they played with a bit more bravery.
19:14They were on the front foot, but they were also playing forward quicker.
19:17But that involves actually going and taking the game higher up the park to a certain extent,
19:23because Celtic forced them back in the first half,
19:27and they could not get out.
19:28They couldn't string two passes together,
19:30but with a little bit more bravery,
19:32people willing to play the ball forward and actually play higher up the park,
19:35they were able to make a bit of a better fist of the game in the second half.
19:38Although having said all that,
19:40there were still some great opportunities for Celtic
19:43to make their lead a bit more commanding.
19:46And there was never any doubt that they were picking up the three points the other day.
19:50Yeah, hugely impressive victory for Celtic today.
19:53What a start for new Aberdeen manager Jimmy Tullin.
19:55Five games, five wins.
19:57Next up, it's at Murrinside that scrambled a one-all draw
20:00with Brian Bergen in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night.
20:06Slip to the right of the six-yard area.
20:08It's cut across, breaks back and goal!
20:10It's a goal!
20:11As he goes to take the acclaim of the almost 200 Bran fans.
20:17Hoisted back in by Tanza.
20:19Chance to the back post!
20:20Goal!
20:23Simeone wheels away!
20:25Second one.
20:26Bran Bergen won.
20:29It's been a perfect start for Jimmy Tullin at Aberdeen,
20:32with five wins from five.
20:34The new project has begun well.
20:38Home fans certainly buying into it.
20:40Things aren't going too badly for St Mirren these days either.
20:43Also unbeaten at the start of this new season.
20:48With Bojan Miloski's Aberdeen future up in the air,
20:50he's left on the bench, so it's a first-league start for Papagei.
20:54That's the only change from the side that beat St Johnstone on the opening day.
20:59It's a measure of the increasing depth of St Mirren's squad
21:02that Steven Robinson can make five changes to his side
21:05without weakening the starting 11.
21:07Jakubity, Tanzer, Adinaran, Scott and Olusanya come in
21:11for Taylor, Brown, Smith, Iunga and Mandrón.
21:23Here's Morris, slips that one through.
21:25Sokler with the first opportunity, there he goes into the 200-gauge!
21:32And Sokler claims for the penalty.
21:35Grant Irvine.
21:37Unmoved.
21:41First, it's a wonderful ball from Morris.
21:43A great run as well.
21:48Definitely a tangle of legs there.
21:53Is there enough contact?
21:55Grant Irvine must have asked himself, did he decide he'd know?
22:08Put in a sandwich there.
22:10What a kick he's given.
22:14It looks like it comes off Magrath.
22:18If the referee decides that wasn't foul, then it should have been a goal kick.
22:28Jamie Magrath.
22:32Mark 4 McKenzie.
22:37That's well brought by Fraser.
22:41Scott gets turned and tries to release Olusanya,
22:44who's very quick as you can see, and he gets the shot off!
22:48It was well wide in the end.
22:51He's absolutely electric, Toyosi Olusanya.
22:56Rupert's got a four or five-yard start there, and he's beaten to it.
23:03Magnolia to Magrath.
23:08Mitov has given that a dangerous area,
23:14now it's come to Olusanya who hits the side netting.
23:18It is offside because it came off the St Mirren player on its way to Olusanya.
23:23It's a dangerous ball from Mitov there.
23:27Unfortunately for him, Aberdeen are off the hook.
23:38Well taken down by Gueye, this could be an opportunity for Aberdeen.
23:42Gueye!
23:43Went for goal himself.
23:46Just off target.
23:49It's a great ball from Schinney,
23:51really nicely taken by Gueye.
23:54Decided the shot was on.
23:58Bieloski, heavily linked with Girona in the last few days.
24:04If he is to leave, I imagine it will be for a hefty old fee.
24:16Balcombe with a heavy touch, Sockler charges it down.
24:20Balcombe needs to get back into his goal.
24:23St Mirren try to recover here, it's Sockler again.
24:27And then deflected behind for a corner, could have been worse.
24:32Almost gifting Aberdeen the breakthrough here.
24:37Sockler just forced, slightly wide.
24:45It will be taken by Jamie McGrath.
24:50Curled in dangerously!
24:52Papaguay rises to give Aberdeen the lead!
24:57Really good delivery from McGrath.
25:00Balcombe doesn't get there,
25:02and Gueye with a crucial touch to take it into the corner.
25:15Fraser forward.
25:18It's flicked on by Malloy,
25:20Ole Sanya's in for the equaliser!
25:24Dreadful mix-up in the Aberdeen defence,
25:27to Yossi, Ole Sanya!
25:31It's just a hopeful long ball,
25:33Ole Sanya making a nuisance of himself,
25:36but neither Malloy nor Rubasic dealt with it.
25:39And Mitov was beaten.
25:51Flipped on by Scott, Ole Sanya's touching a heavy one,
25:54Rubasic there.
25:57Mitov.
25:59His last goal was by Rooney,
26:01he was ambitious and well off target in the end.
26:05Mitov presenting him with the opportunity.
26:09Should have been much more comfortable this for Mitov and Aberdeen.
26:22Mo Salah hits his head to it.
26:28To Sokler.
26:30And back with Morris.
26:32And now he comes to McGrath!
26:35Wonderful finish from Jamie McGrath against his former side.
26:42It's good build-up again from Aberdeen.
26:46McGrath finding himself sprayed at the back post,
26:49and he tucked that beyond Balcombe beautifully.
26:57Mitov.
27:04Ole Sanya battling away to win it back,
27:06and it's Rooney now trying to take on Nielsen,
27:09he's got the better of him.
27:11Across comes Malloy to help out.
27:13McKenzie struggling there.
27:17Boyd Muntz!
27:18Plenty behind it, so too did Dimitar Mitov to keep it out.
27:23Good strike from Boyd Muntz.
27:26Didn't quite have the direction to really trouble Mitov.
27:41McKenzie.
27:42Cuts it back, deflection, takes it over, Sokler.
27:46Close to Aberdeen's third.
27:53That's a goal for McKenzie,
27:55and he's cut back for Sokler.
27:57Just takes a deflection.
27:59Off Fraser.
28:16Shinny.
28:17Fires it in, it's a great ball!
28:19And Vicente Pizarro heads in,
28:22and surely they're the points at Aberdeen's.
28:36It's his first league appearance in well over a year for Aberdeen,
28:39he looked to be on the way out.
28:42But he is back on the scoresheet.
28:46What a bit of ball from Shinny.
28:48Pizarro's onside and he snoops to head past Balcombe.
28:52Terrific goal.
28:54And Aberdeen look good for the victory once more.
29:00Inch perfect from Shinny.
29:02And a really good header from the Dutchman.
29:09Nice play by Ambrose.
29:13Graha gets it back to him.
29:18It's a full-time whistle.
29:21And Jamie Telleen's 100 per cent record continues for a sixth game.
29:26Already a record-breaker in terms of the number of wins
29:30at the start of his Aberdeen tenure.
29:32And Jamie McGrath is key to that continuing.
29:37Vicente Pizarro with the third goal,
29:39the absolute number one goal of the season.
29:42Jamie, what pleased you most about the performance today?
29:46The teamwork.
29:48How we work as a team.
29:50We still have some parts to improve,
29:53but the fighting spirit is amazing.
29:55And how we came out in the afternoon,
29:58we were really well prepared.
30:00We were really well prepared for the game.
30:02We were well prepared for the game.
30:04We were well prepared for the game.
30:06We were well prepared for the game.
30:08We were well prepared for the game.
30:10How we came out after getting the goal in the last seconds on the first half,
30:14then go out so strong and find ways to win all the time.
30:19The players who come in,
30:21and some players who start for a long time,
30:23they give everything they have and they do it to be honest.
30:25I'm so happy with that.
30:27I thought we lost the game rather than Aberdeen winning it.
30:30I thought we were in total control of the game.
30:32I didn't feel under any kind of threat.
30:34But the three goals were really poor.
30:36Our decision-making, we were in possession of the ball, both goals.
30:39We didn't make the right decisions.
30:41We make mistakes.
30:42We don't defend the corner the way we set up to defend it.
30:45That's frustrating that they didn't cut us open and they didn't create lots of chances.
30:49It was from our own doing.
30:51If you make those mistakes, you lose football matches.
30:53We didn't deserve anything today.
30:54Bozsian-Majowski, that looked like a farewell today from him.
30:58I can't say anything about that.
30:59There's still a strong interest in him.
31:01But he's still here.
31:03That's all I can say.
31:06Yeah, all the chat when Jimmy Tillin came in was about having patience.
31:10Clearly not the case.
31:12Six wins out of six so far, Michael.
31:14It's hugely impressive.
31:15And Papa Gay, one of the players he seems to be getting the most out of.
31:19Well, there's a few of them.
31:21Obviously, weren't really quoted before.
31:24And Jimmy Tillin seems to be filling them full of confidence.
31:28Not particularly great defending there.
31:31But Papa Gay being direct, being positive.
31:35I think Esther Sockler was in the best place that he did.
31:37And they cut it across the face of the goal.
31:39But this one here, you heard Stephen Robinson there talking about their set-up.
31:43You see them highlighted in the six-yard box.
31:46Just not marked.
31:47And Peter was mentioning, when you look at the set-up of St Mirren,
31:51when the corner comes in, they are on the six-yard line.
31:55And then the people that are marking are at the middle to front of the goal.
31:59And they step away from, out of the goal when it's an in-swinger.
32:03It was a little bit bizarre.
32:05And I wonder whether Jimmy Tillin and his team had highlighted and looked at this previously
32:09and thought, if we can get the delivery into this area, then we've got a great chance.
32:12But certainly, Papa Gay is enjoying his football a little bit better than before.
32:16Yeah, he was on loan in Norwegian football last season for a bit.
32:19The Christiansund.
32:20From a St Mirren point of view, Peter, obviously not their day.
32:24They had a busy midweek.
32:25Toyusi Olusanya once again on the score sheet.
32:29Uncharacteristic, slight blunder.
32:33Yeah, but I think he does really well, that's Olusanya.
32:37As a set-back, there's something they do quite a lot.
32:40And Olusanya, they've always got two guys running about the box.
32:43That's what I like about Stevie's teams.
32:44They've got two strikers up there that make you work.
32:46One's powerful, one's really, really quick as well.
32:49And so far this season, the games I've seen Olusanya, I think he's been a threat in every game.
32:53And I think he'll be a massive player for St Mirren this season.
32:56It's a bit of a blip for Stevie today.
32:58Obviously disappointed, as he says, with the goals.
33:00But when you've got characters like this in his team,
33:02I think they'll score enough goals, more than enough goals, to be in that top six again.
33:06Yeah, he was a sprinter before he was a striker, Michael.
33:09And he's a big player for St Mirren already.
33:11Yeah.
33:12You know, as Peter's seen there, he's a constant threat with that pace, strength as well.
33:16It wasn't exactly a goal that was particularly pretty.
33:20But it's a goal, nonetheless.
33:22And away from home, gets them back into the game.
33:25But you can hear the disappointment with Steven Robson,
33:28that they've not been able to get anything from the game.
33:30But I think when you looked at that game over the piece,
33:33Aberdeen were by far the more threatening.
33:35They looked more dangerous.
33:36And that is certainly what Jimmy Tillian's brought to Aberdeen.
33:39He's brought an attacking style of play.
33:41We've already spoken about Papa Gay, but you look at Bissawan as well.
33:45Morris, guys that, you know, really weren't being quoted before.
33:49And they may well not be the answer.
33:51But what Jimmy Tillian's done is he's using what he's got there at the moment.
33:55And he's getting a tune out of them.
33:56Because the way he's playing, it's a good balance to the team.
34:00Really good balance.
34:01And Jamie McGrath as well.
34:03He got the decisive goal in the first weekend for Aberdeen.
34:06He took his goal today, Peter, superbly well.
34:08He's been a player that Aberdeen have been able to hang their hat on.
34:12Even before now, obviously.
34:14I think he's a quality player.
34:15I was quite surprised he came back as quick to Scottish football.
34:18Because I thought when he got his move away from St Mirren,
34:20he'd have stayed down south.
34:21Because I think he's got all the attributes.
34:23A goal-scoring midfielder.
34:25Comfortable in possession of the ball.
34:27This is a really good finish.
34:28It comes to him with a bit of fortune, obviously.
34:30But it's a wonderful finish.
34:31And he's more than capable of that.
34:33I've seen it the first time around that St Mirren have done that.
34:35And he'll be a big player for Aberdeen this season, I'm sure.
34:38Like everyone else on that team at this moment in time.
34:40He'll be in a lift for the new manager.
34:42It's a fantastic pass.
34:43But yet again, he's still got to go through and finish it.
34:45He's holding up his left foot.
34:46And he's more than capable of doing that.
34:48And he'll be a big player, as I say, this season for them.
34:50One big player who may well not be a big player for Aberdeen this season anymore
34:55is Bojan Mijovski.
34:56It very much looked like he was waving goodbye to the Aberdeen fans this afternoon.
35:01Linked with Girona in Spain.
35:03Michael, who are suddenly a pretty prominent team.
35:07He's going to be a hard act to follow for whoever Aberdeen end up trying to replace him with.
35:12Yeah.
35:13Look, there's no doubt about it.
35:14When you lose a player of that calibre, then it's going to be a blow.
35:17But they're in a far better position to deal with that now than they were a year ago.
35:22Because they've got a system and a style that I don't feel was there last year.
35:26It's going to be difficult, of course.
35:27But they're going to get a good transfer budget if he does go.
35:31And hopefully they'll be able to reinvest that to a certain extent.
35:34And try to...
35:35They're not going to get light for light.
35:36But try and get somebody else that can start to fill the gap that will be left by Mijovski.
35:41No doubt in your mind, Peter, that they must dip into the transfer market
35:45and try and unearth another gem from perhaps a potentially similar market?
35:49Listen, that's what you're going to do in Scottish football.
35:51See if somebody does well for you.
35:52Especially a goalscorer.
35:53They're so difficult.
35:54But you've got to give credit to that boy himself.
35:56Because he's trained, obviously, to be in the manager's plans.
35:59And still playing.
36:00And still being effective.
36:01And you can see the way the fans appreciated him.
36:03And that's what Aberdeen are going to be looking for.
36:05It's very, as Michael said, difficult to try and get someone of that quality again.
36:08Because he's an international.
36:09He's 25 years of age.
36:10But they're going to get top dollar for him.
36:12He could play in the leagues.
36:14There's no doubt.
36:15He could play for a Celtic Rangers.
36:16He's more than capable of that.
36:17He's a goalscorer.
36:18But he works really hard for his team.
36:20And you can see the way the appreciation he got off his supporters and his teammates.
36:23That tells you enough about him.
36:24Yes, he will be a hard act to follow.
36:26That is for sure.
36:28In terms of what is coming up next, there's plenty more on Sports Scene this evening.
