00:00Hi friends! Today we will be practicing all types of future tense. So let's start!
00:08In our last assignment, we learned what is future tense and its types. Let's revise!
00:17We use future tense to write or speak about things that may happen or will happen in the future.
00:25For example, I will participate in the race. She will sing for us.
00:34We also learned that present tense and past tense have their own verb forms.
00:41For example, let's go for a walk. Here, the verb is go.
00:48Go is the base form of the verb go, which is used for present tense.
00:55They went for a movie. This is past tense. Here, the verb is went.
01:04This form of the verb is especially used to form past tense.
01:09But the future tense does not have its own verb forms like past tense and present tense.
01:16So in order to create a future tense, we use a model auxiliary and a model verb.
01:24Model auxiliaries are can, could, may, might, must, shall, should, will, would.
01:35Whereas auxiliary verbs are forms of be, am, are, is, be, been, being, was, were.
01:48Forms of have, had, has, have, having.
01:54And forms of do, do, did, and does.
02:01So we make future tense using these model auxiliaries and auxiliary verbs.
02:07Now let's learn types of future tenses along with examples.
02:13There are four types of future tense.
02:16Simple future tense, future continuous tense, future perfect tense, and future perfect continuous tense.
02:27So let's first start with simple future tense.
02:31We use simple future tense to talk about something that may happen anytime in the future.
02:37And also that may happen only once.
02:41In the simple future tense, we use the base form of the verb along with a model auxiliary like will.
02:50So the formula for forming a simple future tense is
02:55Model auxiliary will along with the verb in the base form.
03:00Here we have examples.
03:03I will eat a pizza for dinner.
03:06Here will is the model auxiliary and eat is the base form of the verb eat.
03:14And we have written a simple future tense that shows something that will happen in the future.
03:21But not at any fixed time and will happen only once.
03:26Here we have another example.
03:29You will definitely clear exam this year.
03:33Here again, we have used a model auxiliary will and base form of the verb clear.
03:41So we have created a simple future tense that expresses an action that will happen anytime in the future
03:49and will happen only once.
03:52Second type of future tense is future continuous tense.
03:58This tense is used for depicting things or actions that will be continuously happening in the future.
04:06For depicting the future continuous tense, we use a model verb, a model auxiliary and a verb ending with ing.
04:17Here we have example.
04:19Dad will be making pizza for us tonight.
04:22So you can see we have used a model auxiliary will, auxiliary verb be and first form of the verb along with ing that is making
04:36and we have made a future continuous tense.
04:40And it shows a continuous action that will be happening first in the future.
04:46Here we have example.
04:48I will be playing chess with my dad tonight.
04:52Again, we have depicted a continuous action that will be happening in the future.
04:58And we have formed this sentence using a model auxiliary will, auxiliary verb be, first form of the verb along with ing.

05:12Now let's learn about future perfect tense.
05:16If we are talking about two things that will happen in the future,
05:22future perfect tense is used to talk about the thing that will happen first in the future out of the two things we talked about.
05:31Here we have examples.
05:35She will have completed her homework if we go to her house at 8pm.
05:41Here we talk about two things that will happen in the future.
05:45And the thing that will happen first is depicted using future perfect tense.
05:51She will have completed her homework.
05:55Future perfect tense is formed using model auxiliary, auxiliary verb and third form of the verb.
06:04Now let's learn about future perfect continuous tense.
06:09This tense is used to describe the progressive action that will happen until a certain time in the future.
06:18In order to form this sentence, we use model auxiliary, primary auxiliary being and first form of the verb along with ing.
06:29By 2025, I will have been studying in school for 10 years.
06:35So this sentence shows a progressive action that will happen till 2025.
06:44And we have used model auxiliary will, primary auxiliaries have, been and continuous form of the verb which is studying.
06:57Now as we have revised all types of future tense, now we will be given with sentences and we will classify what type of future tense is it.
07:08Bill will play guitar at a concert. Simple future tense.
07:14Ricky and Mickey had a quarrel last week, but I am sure they will have patched up by now.
07:22The first sentence is a past tense and the next one is future perfect tense.
07:30By next year, he will have been working in the company for 10 years.
07:36Future perfect continuous tense. Sam will not attend the meeting. Simple future tense.
07:45He will have recovered from his illness by now. Future perfect tense.
07:52They will be arranging a party very soon. Future continuous tense.
07:59The dramatic club will be staging a play this Saturday. Future continuous tense.
08:07They will have finished their lunch by the time we get there. Future perfect tense.
08:15The company will be setting up a new unit next year. Future continuous tense.
