00:00Rosie's Funfair Special. Rosie is a lively little tanker. She is very quick. She also likes to be very busy. Any job is a good job for Rosie.
00:19One day Rosie and Emily were at Knapford Station. The Fat Controller had some important news.
00:27The Funfair Train is waiting at Brendam Docks. Rosie was excited. She hoped the Fat Controller would ask her to pull the Funfair Train.
00:36Emily, you must pull the Funfair Special. Rosie was disappointed.
00:43Rosie, you must be Emily's back engine. Rosie didn't want to be the back engine. She wanted to pull the Funfair Special on her own.
00:53I have a lot to do today. After we pull the Funfair Special, I have to collect milk from High Farm.
01:00Rosie puffed sadly along. She wished she could pull the Special on her own.

01:50Then there was trouble. Rosie huffed and puffed. She heaved and hauled.
01:57The couplings groaned and strained until one of them snapped.

02:07But Rosie had left half of it behind with Emily.
02:12Rosie puffed proudly along. The children were very excited to see Rosie pulling the Funfair Special.

02:25Then there was trouble. Another coupling snapped.
02:31Up ahead Bertie was carrying children to the Funfair.
02:35Rosie chuffed by. Bertie started to toot his horn.
02:40He's tooting at my Funfair Special, thought Rosie.
02:45But Bertie was tooting because the coconut truck was rolling toward the level crossing.
02:52It smashed against the gate. Coconuts rolled everywhere.
02:57The level crossing was blocked, but Rosie didn't know.
03:02She puffed happily on.
03:05Then another coupling snapped.
03:08Rosie passed Stepney in a siding.
03:11Stepney was waiting to puff onto the main line.
03:14The points changed. Stepney blew his whistle loudly.
03:19He's whistling at my Funfair Special, thought Rosie proudly.
03:24But Stepney was whistling because the truck of sugar was now rolling towards him.

04:22Nobody waved or whistled.
04:24The fat controller was cross.
04:27I told you to be Emily's back engine.
04:31But I brought the Funfair Special all on my own, sir.
04:35I wanted to help Emily.
04:37You haven't helped anyone.
04:40You have caused confusion and delay.
04:44You've left half the train.
04:46Now there will be no Funfair for the children.
04:51Rosie felt terrible.
04:53She had wanted everyone to be proud of her.
04:56And now they were cross.

05:03I can collect all the trucks.

05:11So Rosie whooshed off as fast as her wheels would wear.

06:29All the children waved at the two engines.
06:33We have delivered the Funfair Special in time.
06:38That evening, Rosie and Emily watched the children at the Funfair.
06:42The children were having a wonderful time.
