00:00At this point, let's talk about the latest update on the programs of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. here in Mr. President On The Go.
00:23First, the National Expenditure Program for FY2025 will be approved by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:34DBM or Department of Budget and Management approved the National Expenditure Program for FY2025
00:44The proposed National Budget amounted to 6.352 Trillion Pesos that will help in the implementation of government programs for the benefit of our countrymen
01:00The theme of the proposed National Budget is the Agenda for Prosperity, Fulfilling the Needs and Aspirations of the Filipino People
01:09Our President asked the Congress to support the implementation of the National Expenditure Program for the better implementation of the program
01:20Supported by this proposed budget is the ambition of the Marcos Administration of Economic and Social Transformation
01:27This is what we want to achieve for our country, Philippines. Prosperous, Inclusive and Resilient
01:34The proposed budget amounted to 6.352 Trillion Pesos, which is 22% of the GDP of the country and 10.1% increase from the 5.76 Trillion Pesos budget for this year
01:48Budget deliberations will start in the Congress in the budget season for the various government agencies
01:56Our Congressmen and Senators will discuss the budget
02:00Once the Congress finalizes the General Appropriations Bill, it will be submitted to the President for his approval
02:07Then we will have the enacted budget for Fiscal Year 2025
02:12To our fellow countrymen, DPWH has asked President Marcos Jr. to discuss the steps they will take to address the widespread flooding
02:25This is a yearly issue that is becoming a problem for the Filipinos
02:29In a sectoral meeting in Malacanang, where the steps for the preparation of the plan were discussed
02:36DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoon pointed out that since President Marcos Jr. took office in July 2022 until May 2024, 5,521 flood control projects have been completed
02:53He noted that many of these projects started in the past administrations that need to be continued in the current administration
03:02Moving forward, Secretary Bonoon said that 5,000 flood control projects will be carried out
03:09If we can remember, this is the only time that we experienced this typhoon Kareena and Haing Abagat
03:14We noticed that Metro Manila and other places were affected
03:19Our President also mentioned the effects of climate change and the garbage
03:24We really have to take note that we are all in this together
03:28Many of the pumping stations and infrastructure projects were not maximized because of the garbage
03:34So it has to be a collective effort
03:37There are infrastructure projects but we also need to help
03:41We need to be disciplined in throwing garbage
03:44It's just a simple thing that if many people do it right, it's a big thing for our environment and to avoid flooding
03:53Dayan, MMDA carried tons of garbage after Haing Abagat and Kareena
04:01So if we will help, we can avoid this type of flooding
04:07Of course, it's important to take care of our motherland because it's our protection against strong typhoons
04:15That's all we have for now regarding the current administration's programs
04:19Until the next episode of Mr. President on the Go!
04:37Go!
