00:00After President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. presented the 2025 National Budget yesterday,
00:06the Department of Budget and Management detailed the programs approved by the Fund
00:12including the budget for government agencies.
00:15This is what Alan Francisco reported.
00:19The Ministry of Education will have the largest allocation of funds in the next year
00:25based on the 2025 National Expenditure Program.
00:29Public works, health, social welfare, agriculture, transportation, judicature, and others are also included in the large allocation.
00:38In the briefing in Malacanang, the Department of Budget and Management
00:42detailed the programs approved by the National Fund in the next year
00:46which is worth Php 6.3 trillion.
00:49First, the government's continuous assistance in terms of inflation or increasing the price of goods.
00:56In fact, there are more than Php 253 billion allocated as cash assistance for the needs
01:03such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Social Pension, Walang Gutom, Food Stamp Program, and many more.
01:11We added the Pantawid Pamilya Program because we included the first 1,000 days.

01:28The medical assistance of the Department of Health is also included for the poor.

03:01The Budget Department also said that the budget of the Office of the Vice President increased by 8%
03:06where the budget of the OVP will be Php 2 billion next year.
03:10Meanwhile, Budget Secretary Pangandaman also announced the implementation of the first tranche
03:16or the first drop in the salary increase for government employees this year.
03:20The Executive Order is expected to be issued for the details of the fourth tranche salary increase.
03:25Also included in the proposed budget is the provision of medical benefits to government workers
03:30which is worth Php 7,000.
03:33Yesterday, Secretary Pangandaman presented to President Marcos the proposed budget.
03:39The next process of the budget is the defense of the funds to the Congress.
03:44First, I would like to thank the entire Cabinet for helping us prepare this fiscal year national expenditure program for next year.
03:53And we are all ready to defend our budget in Congress, both in House of Representatives, in the Senate in the coming weeks.

04:11so that our budget will be responsive to the needs of our countrymen.
04:32President Marcos was the first to call on the Congress to maintain the implementation of the National Expenditure Program
04:38according to the submitted document of the DBM
04:41so that it can be implemented and the government's programs and projects can be implemented next year.
