00:00The government of the Philippines has also given the conditions of Indonesia

00:05regarding the return of Mary Jane Deloso

00:08regarding the anti-direction and all the processes that will be done.

00:18It took more than a decade for Mary Jane Deloso to be imprisoned in Indonesia

00:23before she could return to the Philippines.

00:25According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,

00:28this is due to the efforts of the government to talk to the Indonesian government.

00:32The Philippine government has also given the conditions of Indonesia

00:37regarding the transfer of Deloso to the Philippine custody.

00:40Mary Jane will be under a newly committed PDL

00:44for a five-day quarantine in the Correctional Institution for Women.

00:48Here, medical observation will be done,

00:51as well as medical and physical examinations

00:53to ensure that Deloso's physical and mental health is in good condition.

00:58Deloso will remain in the Reception and Diagnostic Center

01:02for no more than 60 days.

01:04Fifty-five days here is for orientation,

01:08diagnostic evaluation, and initial security classification.

01:12She will then be transferred to her cell

01:14according to the resolution of the Reception and Diagnostic Center Classification Board.

01:19After the five-day quarantine that will end on December 24,

01:24Deloso's family will be allowed to bring her.

01:28The Bureau of Corrections assured that Deloso will be kept in a separate facility

01:33with her illegal recruiter

01:35to ensure that she will not be seen.

01:37Now, Mary Jane will be under the jurisdiction of the Philippines.

01:41Is it possible for the government to give her a clemency?

01:45According to Bersamin,

01:46it is too early to discuss the possible events

01:50because the priority of President Marcos Jr.

01:53is to bring Deloso home to the country.

01:55Mary Jane has been imprisoned in Indonesia for more than a decade.

01:59She was arrested at Yogyakarta Airport in 2010

02:02for carrying 2.6 kilograms of heroin in her suitcase.

02:06She was sentenced to death in the same year.

02:09But she was released from her execution in 2015

02:13because of the temporary reprieve given by the Indonesian government.
