00:00The Department of Foreign Affairs considers the return of Mary Jane Veloso to the Philippines as a great success.

00:07Mary Jane felt mixed emotions, especially after more than a decade that she will be able to reunite with her family.

00:17Gav Villegas of PTV returned to Balitang Pambansa.

00:23The Indonesian government formally transferred Mary Jane Veloso to the Philippine government's custody.

00:29It happened at 11 p.m. before she flew to Manila.

00:33At the press conference at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta on Tuesday night,

00:39Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega said that it is a great success in diplomatic relations between the two countries.

00:47The return or transfer of Mary Jane to the Philippines is a win for diplomacy,

00:54for good relations between the Philippines and Indonesia,

00:58and we thank the Indonesian government and all those who are finally realizing the dearest hope and prayer of Mary Jane and the Veloso family.

01:10We want to thank Mary Jane Veloso also because she is a symbol of the Philippines.

01:18She projected the Filipino personality while she has been here 15 years or 14 years in jail.

01:27And the Indonesians have appreciated that.

01:30For Mary Jane, she is happy that she will finally be able to return to the Philippines.

01:36But she is also sad because she is also considered the second home of Indonesia.

01:41In her almost 14 years in prison, she also learned to speak Bahasa Indonesia.

01:48After giving a speech, Mary Jane sang the national anthem of Indonesia.
