00:00With the help of the 2025 National Budget, the government hopes that the country's needs will be met next year.

00:13President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has already approved the proposed National Budget for next year,
00:19which is worth 6.352 trillion pesos.
00:22The National Budget is anchored to support the programs included in the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 of the government.
00:30In the proposed budget, food security, social protection, health care, housing, disaster resilience, infrastructure,
00:40digital connectivity, and energization will be given priority.
00:43According to the President, this is something that should be prioritized.
00:47He will also provide the necessary funds to build more jobs,
00:51establish a health care system, and expand the country's infrastructure.
00:56The Executive Board has also given a statement that the government will continue to support the high prices of goods
01:02and will continue to strive to end poverty in the country
01:06so that everyone can benefit from the economic recovery of the Philippines.
01:11Under the National Expenditure Program, the education sector has the biggest appropriations,
01:16including the DepEd, CHED, and TESDA, Public Works, Health, Interior and Local Government, and Defense.
01:24The DSWD, DA, DAR, DOTR, Judiciary, and Justice Department are also prioritized.
01:30The leadership of the Camera also assured that they will give priority to passing the National Budget
01:36in the Congressional session this month.
01:38According to House Speaker Martin Romualdez,
01:41aside from passing the priority measures of the administration,
01:44they will also pay attention to the National Fund,
01:47which they target to be approved before their session break in September.
01:52They will also provide sufficient allocations to the education sector,
01:56agriculture, armed forces, and other legacy projects of President Marcos Jr.
02:01They will also continue to fund infrastructure projects
02:05in the name of the continued development of the country's economy.
02:08As part of the government's plans to review the proposed budget,
02:12there will be fiscal space,
02:15the preparation of program, activity, projects, or PAPs,
02:18the ability of agencies to use the funds,
02:21and compliance with the Budget Priorities Framework, as well as the PDP 2023-2028.
02:26The DBM agreed to pass the NEP in the Congress on July 29.
