00:00I need you to guess. One presidential pardon.
00:05Welcome back everyone. It is Amelia. I hope you are fine.
00:09Emin passes out during a mission in The Boys Season 4, Episode 6. And although it initially
00:14seems like he is having a heart attack, a later scene reveals that it's a panic attack. Emin
00:19sends Yugi to infiltrate Take Night's Federalist Society party in Dirty Business, hoping to learn
00:25about sister Sage and Homelander's plans. Although Yugi is disguised as Web Weaver,
00:30it soon becomes clear that he needs to be extracted. Starlight, Kimiko, and Emin show
00:36up to save him, but they're confronted by Sage before they can reach him. Sage brings up aspects
00:41of Emin's personal life, and their confrontation almost turns deadly when he shoots her. Emin
00:46hits Sage in the head, but he doesn't realize she can survive this. Believing he's killed her,
00:52he clutches at his chest and passes out. Things seem dire. But fortunately,
00:56a train arrives to transport him to the hospital. There.
00:59The Boys Season 4, Episode 6 reveals that a panic attack is the reason Emin passed out
01:05at Take Night's mansion. And although it seems like a response to Emin's run-in with Sage,
01:10the reason for his reaction likely goes beyond that. Emin's panic attack might be a direct
01:15result of his confrontation with sister Sage. But it isn't the first time The Boys Season 4
01:20alludes to his anxiety. The Boys' leader attempts to calm himself with meditation and self-help
01:26books throughout the latest outing. He also reveals he's breaking out in hives in The Boys
01:31Season 4, Episode 5, suggesting his interventions aren't working. Emin's stress seems to be
01:37increasing as Season 4 continues, and there's an obvious reason for it. Emin replacing Butcher
01:42as the leader of The Boys is taking a toll on his mental health. Leading the charge against
01:47Homelander and Watt is a gargantuan task on its own. So it's no wonder Emin's anxiety is
01:53showing itself more in Season 4. Of course, it doesn't help that he's facing pressure from
01:58multiple sides. The CI isn't happy with him, and the people he answers to aren't shy about
02:04letting him know. The members of his team are also struggling, and keeping them safe is a priority.
02:09But it's a tough one to balance with the need to take down Watt. And Butcher isn't making Emin's
02:14job any easier, often refusing to listen to his orders. Emin's panic attack in The Boys Season 4,
02:20Episode 6 isn't that surprising considering the stress he's under this season. It indicates that
02:25he's reaching a boiling point as The Boys' leader, and it's unclear if he can continue
02:30operating this way. Emin's attempts to keep his stress under control don't seem to be working,
02:35and he'll eventually need to prioritise his health and wellbeing. Passing out on the job
02:40could also be seen as a liability, as it puts his life in danger and threatens to compromise
02:46the mission. Needless to say, The Boys may be setting Butcher up to become the team's leader
02:50again through Emin's panic attack in Episode 6. Episode 5 already alludes to him being the best
02:56person for the job, with Kessler suggesting he's the only one who can do it. Although Butcher
03:02comes off as unfeeling and extreme,
