00:15There will be spoilers for seasons one through four ahead.
00:19We'll have to do some terrible things, some violent,
00:22merciless, maybe even cruel things for the greater good. That's war.
00:27Number 10, Soldier Boy Returns.
00:30How long have you known?
00:32Only since this morning's classified briefing.
00:34Given what we saw in the mid-credits scene of the season four finale,
00:38we can pretty much assume this one is a fact.
00:41But we still don't know who will free Soldier Boy, or what he'll do when he's awake.
00:45Although Homelander clearly longs for a relationship with his father,
00:49the last time they saw each other, they didn't exactly part on good terms.
00:53I am your blood. That's all that matters.
00:57That makes it unlikely, although not impossible,
01:00that Homelander will be the one to wake him.
01:02There's also a chance that Billy Butcher will find and free Soldier Boy,
01:06although he should also be wary of retaliation from the unpredictable hundred-year-old soup.
01:11I made a promise, so this is it.
01:14Number 9, Kimiko Starts Talking.
01:17I got Davies in green pastures.
01:21I got my man who could ask for anything more.
01:25Aside from the occasional dream sequence,
01:28Kimiko has been unable to speak since the series began.
01:31In season four, we learn the horrifying real reason she can't talk.
01:36How can we possibly forgive ourselves?
01:40How can we move on?
01:42But we also learn that she wants to be able to speak,
01:45and she's been working with a therapist to make it happen.
01:48However, it isn't until Frenchie is taken captive at the end of the season four finale
01:53that she screams her first word.
01:56Now that the mental block that prevents her from talking has been broken,
01:59it seems all but guaranteed that she'll start talking regularly in season five.

02:12Number 8, Season 5 Will Be Even More Violent.
02:16When you ever besmirch Billy.
02:21From the very first episode,
02:23The Boys has been one of the bloodiest, most graphic shows ever created.
02:28In fact, the inciting incident that gets Hughie involved in the whole mess
02:32is seeing his girlfriend obliterated by A-Train.
02:39Hughie, of course, then goes on to commit some pretty gruesome murders of his own.
02:44It seems like the writers come up with a new,
02:46more shocking way to kill people every week.
02:48Each season has escalated the sex, violence, and gore to a new level.
02:53Considering that almost all of our main characters are walking weapons of mass destruction,
02:58we expect season five to be the bloodiest and most brutal of all.

03:06Number 7, Queen Maeve Returns.
03:08Now Maeve, we have bigger fish.
03:10I don't.
03:11The last time we saw The Boys version of Wonder Woman,
03:14she had lost her powers and an eye in a battle against Homelander and Soldier Boy.
03:19With Ashley's blessing, she and her partner Elena go into hiding,
03:23while Vought spreads the news that she's dead.
03:25She was one of America's greatest superheroes.
03:28A role model for little girls everywhere.
03:30Although Queen Maeve didn't make an appearance in season four,
03:33creator Eric Kripke has said that he expects her to show up again before the series ends.
03:38Her powers could be restored with a dose of Compound V,
03:41or it could turn out that the effects of Soldier Boy's nuclear blast were only temporary.
03:46Either way, The Boys will need all the help they can get
03:49to take down Homelander and his shadow government.
03:58Number 6, Sam and Kate Join The Seven.
04:02Please welcome the guardians of good old Sam Reardon and Kate Dunlop.
04:07The Ultimate Superhero team hasn't been fully staffed since the series started.
04:11As of the end of season four, there are three openings,
04:15and these two ultra powerful young supes are perfect candidates to fill them.
04:20Sam and Kate were introduced in Gen V,
04:22where they started out with great chemistry and were able to get along.
04:27Where they started out with good intentions, but ended up siding with Homelander and Vought.
04:36In season four of The Boys, we see them hanging out in Seven Tower.
04:40During the season finale, they return to help round up Frenchie and Kimiko.
04:45It seems like these two are being primed for a role alongside The Deep,
04:49Firecracker, and the other members of The Seven.
04:56Number 5, A-Train Returns To Join The Boys.
05:10A-Train, aka Reggie Franklin, is one of the most complex and interesting supes in The Boys.
05:16Although he starts out just as reckless and selfish as anyone else in The Seven,
05:21in the last couple of seasons he's made an effort to redeem himself.
05:24This culminates in A-Train becoming a spy for The Boys, at great risk to himself.
05:30That felt better than anything that I had ever done at Vought.
05:35Because for once, I didn't hate myself.
05:39When Homelander finds out he's been leaking information,
05:42A-Train has no choice but to take his family and flee to safety.
05:46But there's no way such a major character is gone for good.
05:49We think A-Train will be back, and he'll continue his journey to becoming one of the good guys.
05:54Where is he?
05:56He cut out his tracking chip, and his family's gone too.
06:00Number 4, Zoe Newman Kills Butcher.
06:03You know when I was little, they did the same thing to me, and I'm alright.
06:08We see Victoria Newman inject her daughter with Compound V in season 3,
06:13but we don't learn what power she develops until season 4.
06:16It turns out to be pretty unusual. Zoe has four tentacles that emerge from her mouth
06:21and tear holes in anyone who gets too close.
06:30You know who else has super strong hidden tentacles?
06:33Billy Butcher. And he uses them to kill Zoe's mom.
06:37This gives Zoe major motivation for revenge.
06:40And why would the showrunners give them such similar powers
06:42unless they plan to have them face off at some point?
06:45It seems like Butcher was never meant to make it out of The Boys alive,
06:49and Zoe is the perfect character to send him to meet his maker.
06:52Where children can sleep peacefully in their mother's arms.
06:56No, in Starlight's pedo agenda has been thwarted.
07:00Number 3, A Supernatural Reunion.
07:03You boys better tell me what the hell is going on right now.
07:06The Boys isn't the first successful TV show creator Eric Kripke has worked on.
07:11He was the genius behind Supernatural,
07:13which starred several actors who also have major roles in The Boys.
07:17In season 5, we expect Jensen Ackles to return as Soldier Boy,
07:22and Jeffrey Dean Morgan to make another appearance as Joe Kessler.
07:26That leaves out just one Winchester man, Jared Padalecki.
07:30So you've, um, you've been busy.
07:34A little bit.
07:35But we have good news for Supernatural fans.
07:37Padalecki has talked with Kripke about joining the cast of The Boys,
07:41and made it clear that he'd love the opportunity.
07:44We'll just have to wait and see if the two are able to make it happen.

07:50You fought for us and you loved us.
07:56That's enough.
07:57Number 2, Ryan Turns Evil.
07:59We've talked about this.
08:01They're only humans and...
08:04Toys for our amusement.
08:07That's right.
08:07Will Ryan Butcher follow in Homelander's footsteps,
08:10or will he stay the sweet, caring kid that his mother raised?
08:14This is one of the crucial questions of season 4.
08:17We occasionally see his dark side slipping out,
08:20like when he gets a kick out of humiliating Adam.
08:22But after Ryan defies Vought and Homelander on live TV,
08:26it seems like he's primed to become a good guy.
08:29Your family isn't your enemy.
08:31Your family's all you've got.
08:33However, when he learns that Grace Mallory and Billy Butcher
08:36have been manipulating him all along, his reaction is disturbing.
08:40He kills Mallory, and this time, he doesn't appear to feel bad about it.
08:45The season finale seems to be setting Ryan up to turn truly evil.

09:12Billy Butcher has always been a complicated character.
09:16Throughout season 4, the warring sides of his personality
09:19are represented by two hallucinations.
09:22This is beyond our wildest dreams.
09:24Mando just gave us a silver bullet.
09:27We can wipe them all out.
09:29Becca tries to convince Butcher to be compassionate,
09:32while Joe Kessler wants to release the soup virus
09:34and wipe out every soup on the planet.
09:37Butcher's relationship with Ryan is one of the few things
09:40stopping him from doing just that.
09:42However, that relationship is broken in the season finale.
09:45In the end, when Butcher's powers finally manifest,
09:48he betrays his friends and steals the soup virus and hits the road.
09:53Butcher?
09:56No deals.
09:57It's clearly setting him up to be the villain of season 5
10:00when the rest of the boys will have to stop him from releasing the virus
10:04and committing mass murder.
10:06And most of all, we will make America super again.
