00:00Around the dining room is a reclaimed wood mantle, an antique fire extinguisher, and
00:07a salvaged fire-resistant door.
00:09Right now it's basically a liquor closet, so we need the locks on there.
00:15Dominique creates art from scrap metal and found objects, and his signature pieces are
00:20everywhere throughout the home.
00:22This is one of my favorite sculptures.
00:24I got inspiration from finding Nemo.
00:28It's all reclaimed metals, scrap metals, and Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts.
00:34So we made this anglerfish, which is one of my favorite fish.
00:39In the living room, Dominique found a unique way to repurpose the original ceiling trusses
00:44by creating a stunning hardwood platform.
00:47All the wood comes from the old roof.
00:49I saved the timbers, had them denailed, kiln-dried, tongue-and-groove, three-quarter-inch old
00:54flora pine.
00:56So it's a really nice accent.
00:58Other reclaimed accents are this hundred-year-old corbel, a table made with real guns from Tampa's
01:03buyback program, and this amazing bookshelf that was once an ox cart harness.
01:08The whole idea is to have intricate pieces and pieces from all different corners of the
01:13earth.
01:14Nearby is an open kitchen with original exposed copper water lines.
01:18Dominique's artist fiancee, Diana, considers the coffee nook below the heart of their home.
01:24This is the area where one of the trucks would pull into this bay.
01:28Underneath this countertop was a massive drain system because of all the water that the trucks
01:34would bring in after a fire.
01:37So we pulled out the drains, and we used them in the garden as flower pots.
