00:05This is the original pedestal, which was a rotating single light.
00:09A really cool device had this little mechanical device that when a lamp burned out, it would
00:15automatically rotate another lamp in to take its place.
00:19About three years ago, the Coast Guard replaced all of those with this little LED strobe that
00:25just shoots it out in all directions.
00:27I can tell you, it's bright compared to the previous generations of light.
00:31The light itself has so much history and responsibility of the Coast Guard to protect navigators and
00:38sailors, so we just want to keep that tradition going.
