Cardiff’s favourite ice creams

It’s national ice cream day, so we’re celebrating the only way we know how. With an ice cream. We’re talking to people out and about today about their favourite flavours, and how much of a classic summer staple a mr whippy is. So let’s find out from the people of Cardiff about which ice cream they love best.

00:36I don't often have ice cream, I've got to be honest, so no.
00:39My husband likes just normal whipping, but I like flavour,
00:42and I like blackcurrant.
00:44I prefer it in the sunshine, because it makes you want to have an ice cream.
00:47But if it's a cloudy day, I don't mind an ice cream.
00:50If it's a good flavour, I'll have it, but I have to have a flavour.
00:53My best flavour is blackcurrant.

00:57That's mine.
00:59Pistachio. That's my favourite.

01:03Yeah, I don't want a plain vanilla.
01:05You want to have something with a bit of something in it,
01:07hence why I like the Sub-Zero, because they put all the toppings on.
01:10If you're going to have ice cream, you've got to put it all in.

01:48There's nothing quite like a 99 with a flake and a little bit of sauce.

01:54but you really cannot go wrong with one of these.

02:27Yeah, cos you can't get it in many pubs, maybe, any banana split.

02:55And if you're really indulgent, you put cream on it.
