01:05Ricky, the Dragon, steamboat.
01:07We'll have a report from the Dragon on his physical condition,
01:10considering what happened, of course, last week.
01:12And then from there, yes, the return of Dan Spivey.
01:15He and Mike Rotundo back in tag team action.
01:18Notwithstanding that, also scheduled to join us,
01:20the Hart Foundation in a non-title matchup.
01:23The Harts will square off against no less than
01:25the British Bulldogs, Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith.
01:31Also scheduled to join us this week, there it is,
01:33slick along with his number one main man, so to speak.
01:36It's the natural Butch Reed.
01:38But right now, we'll take you, ladies and gentlemen,

01:43for a special interview with the one and only Andre the Giant.

01:52And big news just in from WWF headquarters.

01:58has just announced that the controversial suspension
02:01of Andre the Giant has been suspended.
02:04That's right, Andre the Giant now free to return
02:07to World Wrestling Federation action.
02:09And we're very lucky to have with us in London today,
02:12Andre the Giant. It's great to see you, Andre.
02:14It's great to be back, Gary.
02:16So you're about to return to the World Wrestling Federation action.
02:20That must have been a tough time for you being away.
02:35You've had a good time in Europe, but obviously
02:37you've missed all your pals at the WWF.
02:50But now I'm more than happy to be back in the ring.
02:53And against anybody, anywhere, believe me, I'll be there.
03:08I don't know against where I'm going.
03:10I don't know in what city.
03:12But believe me, I'm still watching WWF, even in London.
03:15I've still got the TV from the US.
03:19And the TV fans of the WWF will be thrilled to hear
03:22that Andre the Giant is returning
03:24to World Wrestling Federation action.
03:26In London for the World Wrestling Federation,

03:34And I must say, I for one am a little bit surprised
03:37about Andre's sudden reappearance
03:41on the World Wrestling Federation scene.

03:51this man regarded as the king of professional wrestling.
03:58Well, I'll tell you, the king looks splendid, doesn't he, McMahon?

06:29I mean, it's caught me totally by surprise.

06:39That's why I think there's been some underhanded dealings
06:42in this Andre thing, McMahon.

07:34but here the veteran, Harley Race knows every trick in the book.
07:37He kind of cradles him, takes him up like a suplex,
07:40and then he drives him down the end zone
07:42through that cradle hold,
07:43and of course, Randy Poffo's down for the count of three.

07:51A report on the injuries of Ricky the Dragon Steamboat.

07:58With the latest from the World Wrestling Federation,
08:01here's Gene Overland.
08:10In a recent World Wrestling Federation event,
08:13Ricky the Dragon Steamboat squared off
08:15against the Intercontinental Champion of the World,
08:17Macho Man, Randy Savage.
08:19Perhaps the most brutal meeting between any two super athletes
08:23that the World Wrestling Federation has ever seen.
08:26As a result of that match,
08:28Ricky Steamboat sustained a very serious injury
08:31to his larynx, an injury that doctors say
08:34may indeed be career-ending for the Dragon.
08:37On the telephone with me right now
08:39is the wife of Ricky Steamboat, Mrs. Steamboat.
08:42I am very curious.
08:44At this hour as we talk, how are your spirits?
08:47Well, Gene, it's a tragedy that we're trying to deal with
08:52the best that we can right now.
08:54It's not an easy one to take care of.
08:57I know it's a very delicate subject for us to discuss,
09:00but it has been brought up.
09:02What about the possible retirement of your husband?
09:06Well, that, too, is a possibility.
09:08Of course, I'd like to have him home more,
09:11and he is considering it himself.
09:14How is he handling the indignity of this tragedy?
09:19I mean, something as personal as an individual's voice.
09:22How is he dealing with it?
09:24That's a real hard one for him.
09:26He's just been really despondent about not being able to speak.
09:30That's a bad one for him there.
09:33Well, I certainly can understand,
09:35and indeed all of us here in the World Wrestling Federation
09:38certainly extend our sympathies out to you, your family,
09:42and, of course, to the millions of wrestling fans
09:45that enjoy Ricky the Dragon Steamboat so much.

09:51A young and tremendously gifted young athlete
09:54apparently cut down at the peak of his professional wrestling career.
09:59We certainly hope that it's not over for Ricky the Dragon Steamboat.

14:52I think that Spivey shows that he is in perfect condition.
14:56Here he is, comes across with this tremendous elbow,
14:59catches Wagner with the Bulldog,
15:01and he does it as well as he ever did it.
15:03Look at this.
15:04Puts all his weight behind him, boom,
15:06crashes down Wagner's head right on that mat
15:08and holds him down for a count of three.
15:10And another look at it.
15:12And Rotundo, that's what he sees, no doubt of that,
15:15as he comes in, just a little extra protection,
15:18and look out, baby.

18:06But I'm gonna tell you this right now.
18:08The Honky Tonk Man can do some jaw jacking and back cracking,
18:11and I promise you right now
18:13that there's gonna be a big, big surprise for y'all.
