00:00President Biden, as you've said, as others have indicated, had a bad debate night, and
00:06some have chalked it up to even more than that.
00:09He was incoherent at some points.
00:10He trailed off a decent amount during that debate.
00:13And strategists and political scientists I've talked to have said there wasn't a winner
00:17in that debate.
00:18Instead, President Biden lost.
00:21Donald Trump reportedly repeated over 30 falsehoods on things ranging from abortion, the economy,
00:27January 6th, other topics in between.
00:30So when you look at this debate as a whole, what do you think this indicates to both our
00:33friends and enemies abroad?
00:35I think that, like I said, the view from our enemies abroad, specifically right now to
00:41who our commander in chief is, it makes the country look weak.
00:46And I think that this was an opportunity for President Trump to really speak to the American
00:51people.
00:52Because let's be honest, that debate on Thursday night, the people who are watching it who
00:56are political animals who pay attention, who are into the everyday, what happens on
01:03Capitol Hill and beyond, they know who they're voting for.
01:06They know whether they're supporting Donald Trump or Joe Biden or neither.
01:11But I think that the debate was an opportunity because I think we would both agree, and I'm
01:15sure many of your listeners agree, that that debate was watched by hundreds of millions
01:20of people.
01:21Because it has now become some sort of almost like a reality series.
01:26People are watching it that have never been interested in government and politics before.
01:30And that was an opportunity to tell those people why we are different, why the Republicans
01:35are better at government, why Joe Biden has destroyed parts of our country over the last
01:42three and a half years.
01:43And really talk about, like I mentioned a few minutes ago, the things that are discussed
01:47most amongst people around their kitchen table.
01:50Thursday night was a perfect opportunity to look to the American people and those who
01:54are not really interested in government politics and say, listen, I'm going to break this down
01:58very simply.
01:59In a couple of days, you're going to be celebrating the 4th of July, you're going to be going
02:03to barbecues, you're going to be hosting family and friends at your house.
02:06When I was president, it cost this much.
02:08With Joe Biden as president, it's costing this much.
02:11But instead, you know, we were talking about a golf handicap, we were talking about things
02:15that really don't matter to the American people.
02:18And yes, you know, I think there was opportunities that were missed when Joe Biden, who was trailing
02:23off and even President Trump said, you know, I'm not sure what he said and I'm not sure
02:27what he said.
02:28I'm not sure he knows what he said.
02:29But I mean, President Biden lied to the American people and said that under his tenure, nobody
02:35in the military has died when he forgot that, you know, there was a time when we would not
02:41only through the botched withdrawal of West Afghanistan, I mean, he's been criticized
02:45for standing on a tarmac when the bodies of heroes were processed past him and he was
02:52looking at his watch.
02:53I mean, so either he forgets, either he's confused or he just doesn't care.
02:58But nonetheless, it is not a good look for the American people.
