00:00Really, University of Washington, I visited a few times unofficially during the season.
00:07So I love the atmosphere there.
00:09I love being in the stadium, watching the guys play, you know, somewhere I saw myself
00:13being able to play and getting a chance to watch them.
00:15So I was watching them at a different level.
00:17I wasn't just there watching football and, you know, being a fan, but I was kind of looking
00:21at, okay, how is their defense running?
00:24Where would I fit there?
00:25And I was really able to see myself playing in that defense.
00:28And then with the new staff and that new turnover, again, their biggest point they pushed was
00:34we see you playing here and here's how we want you to come play in our defense.
00:39So I really was able to see myself playing there.
00:42I've been around the area for a couple of years now.
00:45So it's already somewhere that kind of feels like home and I can make a home.
00:51And then the education aspect of it, you can go to UW and get a really great education.
00:57For sure, man.
00:58Now you mentioned the defensive side of the ball.
00:59We could pick four or five different spots where you could line up suitably and play.
01:04What was it about that is this utility that allowed you to feel comfortable with the new
01:09staff at Washington?
01:10And what was their message to you about where you might play?
01:15Really the fact that those the guys who play my same position, so they have the Husky and
01:20they have an adjuster.
01:21Those are guys who apex out and play in space, but as well as playing the box.
01:25But to be able to see that, see how flexible they already are in their defense and see
01:30how flexible I am as a player, you know, that it just matched up perfectly.
01:34So I was really, I can see myself, like you said, we can go around the defense and does
01:38work I could line up at, but, you know, real more specifically, they have that Husky position
01:45or that star position, as most people call it, where I'd be apexed out playing in space
01:49and also playing in a box, being able to utilize both my strengths of, you know, getting to
01:54the ball and also being able to cover in man and zone coverages.
