00:00How you guys doing? I'm Megan Holliday. Welcome to the Helpful Honda sound space.
00:06You guys, Imagine Dragons are right over in that room. Can you believe it?
00:12All right. Well, they're gonna play some songs in just a little bit. Before that,
00:16we're gonna have a little chat, so please make it so loud for Imagine Dragons.
00:30So I was I was talking to the guys before the show, and the last time that I really
00:57saw you interacted and interviewed you was in 2012. And I feel like a month after that,
01:03you guys exploded and became, you know, one of the biggest bands on the planet. So now
01:08to be here after all this time, I'm just I'm so excited to talk to you.
01:13We're excited to be here. Yeah, I can't believe that was 2012.
01:16I know. Yeah, that's, that's wild. It's a trip, right? So I was talking to my
01:21boss, shout out to the legendary Kevin Weatherly, who is here. And he did confirm
01:28that K-Rock is the first station to play It's Time back in the day. So do you guys,
01:36obviously, you've been friends with K-Rock for a really long time. Do you remember hearing the
01:41song on the radio? We do. Absolutely. We were driving from Las Vegas to LA to play a show.
01:48And this is true. At the Viper Room. Yeah, at the Viper Room. And we were just getting in range
01:54to pick up the station. And this sounds like such a made up story. So dramatic. But it was like
02:02fuzzy. And we were like, we heard like, and we were just racing as fast as we could to kind of
02:09get a better signal to hear it. And it was it was straight like out of a movie. We were all just
02:14like, this feels too weird. We I think we were going literally 100 miles an hour. Oh my god, you
02:20had your that thing we do moment that thing. It was it really was. Yeah. Oh my gosh. It is just so
02:25incredible. And I have to congratulate you on your brand new album, Loom. Thank you. Thank you.
02:35Are you kind of relieved that this album is coming out? Are you excited? What are the emotions that
02:40you're feeling?
02:42I think both those things. You know, when you make a record, it's, you're working on it for over a
02:47year, sometimes two years. So we've been sitting with this music for a long time. And I, it's really
02:54hard to for us to sit on that. I hate it. I'm always anxious about it waiting. So we've been
03:01counting down the days for a long time. And to know that Thursday night, technically it comes out is
03:07it's a it's a relief. And we also are really proud and excited about this record. And we hope we hope
03:13everybody likes it as much as we do.
03:15Well, I got to have a little sneak peek. And I can confirm it's an amazing album as always. And you
03:24know, when you put out the trailer for the album, something you had said was that you really wanted
03:29the goal of this album was to encourage people to feel every emotion. So can you expand on that a
03:36little bit?
03:37Yeah, I feel like I've just spent a lot of my life numb. You know, just it I had a hard time expressing
03:46myself. That's why I turned to music in the first place is I found that it was something I could
03:51always turn to and feel an emote. I'm kind of one of those people who doesn't cry for a long time. And
03:57then when you cry, you just cry really hard in a long time. Or you know, when you get angry, you're
04:01really angry because you've been holding it in like, and that's really unhealthy. And I did that
04:05for a long time. Now I'm just angry all the time.
04:10But only a little bit angry all the time.
04:14It's a healthy little bit of anger, you know, but I think that's very relatable for a lot of us,
04:19especially because we live in a culture where it's all about escapism. And everybody's on their
04:23phone or you're playing a video game or you're drinking or whatever it might be. So I think just
04:29encouraging people to sit in the in those feelings is just it's so healthy. And it's just like, that's
04:34what we got to do to get through the hard times. So when I think about loom and the meaning of it, I
04:41think of it as kind of a dark cloud, you know, something is looming that I don't want to face. But
04:47the more that I thought about it, I thought it could also be a positive thing. It could also be
04:52like, you know, a new job is looming or something like that, where you're excited about it, but it's
04:58still looming. So why did you land on this particular word?
05:03Yeah, I think you're onto something there. The the album cover itself, you know, you don't even know
05:09if it's necessarily a sunrise or a sunset. And I think you're right on with like the word loom. It
05:16can be a positive or negative connotation, just depending on what's going on. And I think one
05:22thing that looms over every single person, like through their life is they're going to have, you're
05:27guaranteed to have relationships with other humans, with other people. And to me, like, you
05:32know, we always do like this sort of like diagnosis after an album's out. Like, you know, I don't want
05:37to speak for Dan, but I'm not sure even he knows what the album is about until it's done. And so
05:43for me, this was an album purely based on like relationships, whether it's to us personally, like
05:48in our personal lives, like, or, or just, you know, writ large. It's a pure relationship album to me.
05:57That's how I, that's how I see it.
05:59Yeah, I definitely can see that and agree with it. It felt very personal. The, the album really takes
06:07you on a ride. You know, it's, there are times where it's really fun, and, you know, confident. And
06:14there are times when it's flirty. There are times when it's kind of heartbreaking. Don't Forget Me is
06:20definitely one of my favorites on the album. It's beautiful. And I can really feel the emotion in that
06:27song. So for you guys, is there maybe a favorite that you have? Or was there a song that was just so much
06:35fun to create it and put it together?
06:38I mean, I don't think, I think that I'm with you with Don't Forget Me being the song that I am most moved by on
06:46the album. It's the song that hits me the hardest. And I love the process of making that song. You know, we had,
06:52that song existed in a certain form, and then we took it back into the studio and sort of deconstructed it and
07:00built it back up. And it turned into something really special. It's hard to, hard to even, you know, put it in any
07:07kind of box. But the whole process of making that song and the, the depth to which I think the emotion behind that
07:17one, really is able to, you know, kind of blossom from, from a listening is, is something really special.
07:25It's a song that almost reminds me of, in a way of its time. And then, but you guys have this ability to go back and forth,
07:32because then when Radioactive came out, so different from its time, but it's so genuine to you guys. And then I kind of feel
07:38like Eyes Closed does the same thing. And when I hear that song, again, it's like the swagger. It's like, you're gonna tell me
07:45that I can't do something, watch me. That's, that's the vibe that I get. That's a good song for when you're in the gym, when
07:50you're in the gym, getting all ripped.
07:53And me, not just Dan.
07:54I'm sorry, Wayne. I'm sorry. You're right. You're right.
07:56Unbelievable.
07:57But with that song as your first single, why did you choose that one to kind of, you know, set the tone for, hey, we're back, this is
08:07what we're doing?
08:08I think a narrative that I always find myself writing about is self-empowerment, because I, it often comes from a place of
08:19kind of false bravado. Like, I think people probably hear that song and hopefully hear confidence in it. But it really is a
08:27moment of weakness for me when I turn to writing music like that. Because I think that's the kind of thing that I'm
08:34weakness for me when I turn to writing music like that. Because I'm battling something, you know, whether it's my mind or
08:42some physical thing. And I'm really not, I always have written music, first and foremost, for myself. As selfish as that
08:50sounds, I want, I'm trying to write something to give me peace in that moment. And it might be that I need to write something
08:57angry, it might need be something sad. And in that case, it's something to try to tell myself that you can do this, like step up, you
09:07can do this, stop being a victim. And, and then that song just kind of sat with us in a way that it felt if we felt something from it.
09:16And that's always at the end of the day, we live, we live with these songs for over a year before they come out. So we feel what songs
09:24hit us immediately, but also hit us six months later, and also hit us a year later. And sometimes the song that hits you in the beginning,
09:32your doesn't hit you a year later, and those don't make the record. And so that one kind of lived with us really well. And so we felt like it was a
09:39good intro to the record.
09:40Yes, I would have to agree. And I mean, technically, you guys have been a band for 16 years, really, you've been doing it for 2008. Was that
09:49one? Yeah, yeah. So as you look back over this long career, what would you say is one of your your bright spots, a moment where you just
09:59thought, how did they get here?
10:01You know, personally, just recently, putting out a tour, and it's selling out and doing four nights at the Hollywood Bowl. It's like,
10:10it's to us that that is the most important thing to know that there are people around the world that we've connected with, we've really grown up with, you
10:22know, we've been through sad times, hard times, multiple, you know, heartbreaks, and it's, we've really grown up together. And to know that people still
10:32want to come out and celebrate that I think anybody who's been to a dragons show has hopefully felt that honesty and that sense of community. It's it's a
10:41different experience than other shows. And we're really proud of that. And it's because it's just honest for better for worst, it's always honest. And so to
10:50know that 16 years in the band is bigger than it's ever been. And people are wanting to come out means everything to us. And we take it we really take it
11:01seriously. We never dial in a show. This is going to be our our best live show. Wayne always puts together all the production. And he just and he puts in some
11:12that's amazing. I want to sample. But really, he puts in so much effort into the poetry and the production value and and this year more than ever. So we were not
11:26looking I just I guess I just say we take it really seriously the commitment the fans have given to us and we try to give it back as much as we can.
11:33You guys are so good to your fans and give it up you guys for yourself. I think community is just so important, you know, and feel that sense of feeling like
11:47these are my people. I belong. Everything's okay. We're gonna sing our lungs out and we're gonna feel through all this stuff together. I'm gonna ask just a random dumb
11:56question. I feel like you guys have been a lot of places you've met a lot of people. Have you ever met someone like a Brad Pitt or something where you're just so starstruck and you
12:06just you know, maybe awkward and you don't even know what to say.
12:09I mean, I grew up that we grew up in the 90s. So we just recently met Martin Short. Oh, that's a that's like, that's not like the kind of person that really cares. You know, we're all just, you know,
12:22primates doing our best generally, but like, if if I meet Martin Short or someone of that ilk, I kind of get really excited. So three amigos was the best movie of all time.
12:34So that was a lot of fun for me. What about you guys?
12:38Huh? Uh, yeah, I feel like the saying of like, never meet your what is it heroes? It is a very true thing. Because there are a lot of people you meet and you're like, Oh, I wish I kind of never met you.
12:53So I can think of a lot of those.
12:54Now name all of them, Dan.
12:55No, but there's been a lot of really pleasant surprises to where you're like, Wow, what a beautiful human, you know? You know, I would say, hmm.
13:10Probably maybe Rivers from Weezer. Oh, yeah, Rivers. Yeah, I love Weezer. Blue Album was one of my favorite albums of all time. And early in our career, after Night Visions came out, we were playing a festival and he had come up to us and said, Hey, I bought your record and I love it so much. And that was such a strange moment for me because I was like, I had played Blue Album before and I was like, Oh, I wish I could play Night Visions.
13:34And that was such a strange moment for me because I was like, I had played Blue Album front to back a bajillion trillion times. And so there's moments like that where you're just like, this feels really weird. Paul McCartney was so strange meeting Paul and playing The Beatles in front of him, playing Revolution in front of him. And he was just there kind of like, and Ringo Starr was like, gave us a kiss. And it was just like, this is that was that was weird. Yeah.
14:00My first six concerts when I was growing up were all Weird Al. And when Weird Al did a parody of Radioactive, that was far more meaningful to me than our Grammy moment or or anything else. It's just like, this is this is my childhood hero acknowledging music that we've made together. And I've met him a couple of times after that, because I of course, pulled that card like, Hey, Al, I see you're coming to town.
14:30Tickets.
14:32Oh, my God. See, these are just such sweet moments. And you're about to go and make so many more, like you said, sold out North American tour. Four Nights at the Hollywood Bowl. Loom is about to come out. Imagine Dragons. It's an honor and a privilege to get to see you guys again. So thank you so much.
15:00And I know you think about everything that I did wrong, but I do too.
15:31Staying up these nights drinking everything I got nothing without you.
15:40I fear I might die alone. I fear I might knock in no one's home. Staying up these nights thinking everything that I did wrong to you.
15:52Cuz there's fire in these hills. And I think I've lost the will. The more we try, the more we fail. But after everything, you're here with me still. Cuz there's fire in these hills. And I think I've lost the will. The more we try, the more we fail.
16:22But after everything, you're here with me still.
16:26Gonna turn this car around, open up, sit down, tell you all the truth.
16:48Gonna fade myself out, talk to myself down, lighting up this fuse. I fear I might wreck this home. I fear I might knock in no one's home. Staying up these nights thinking everything that I did wrong to you.
17:14Cuz there's fire in these hills. And I think I've lost the will. The more we try, the more we fail. But after everything, you're here with me still. Cuz there's fire in these hills. And I think I've lost the will. The more we try, the more we fail.
17:42But after everything, you're here with me still.
17:46I'm so tired, can I please come home?
18:12I've run so far, can I, can I come home?
18:20I'm so tired, can I please come home?
18:28I've run so far, can I, can I come home?
18:41I'm so tired, can I, can I come home?
19:08I'm so tired, can I please come home?
19:14I've run so far, can I, can I come home?
19:22I'm so tired, can I please come home?
19:31I've run so far, can I, can I come home?
19:39I'm so tired, can I please?
19:53Thank you so much, thank you.

21:23Next to me
21:25Next to me
21:27Next to me
21:29Next to me
21:31Next to me
21:33Next to me
21:35Next to me
21:37Next to me
21:39Next to me
21:41Next to me
21:43Next to me
21:45Next to me
21:47Next to me
21:49Next to me
21:52Stress lines and cigarettes
21:54Politics and deficits
21:56Late bills and overages
21:58We're screaming and hollering
22:00But still
22:02Still you want me
22:10Oh
22:12Always let you down
22:18You're shattered on the ground
22:21But still I find you there
22:23Next to me
22:29Oh
22:31Those stupid things I do
22:35See I'm far from good
22:37It's true
22:39Still I find you
22:41Next to me
22:47See there's something about the way that you
22:50Always see the pretty view
22:52You overlook the mud and mess
22:54Always looking effortless
22:56And still
22:58Still you want me
23:04You see
23:06I've got no innocence
23:08Faith ain't no privilege
23:10I am a deck of cards
23:12A vice or a game of hearts
23:14And still
23:16Still you want me
23:20Oh
23:22Always let you down
23:28You're shattered on the ground
23:30But still I find you there
23:32Next to me
23:38Oh
23:40Those stupid things I do
23:46See I'm far from good
23:49See I'm far from good
23:51It's true
23:53Still I find you
23:55Next to me
24:01So thank you
24:05For taking a chance on me
24:09I know it isn't easy
24:13But I hope to be worth it
24:16Say thank you
24:20For taking a chance on me
24:24I know it isn't easy
24:28But I hope to be worth it
24:34Oh
24:36Always let you down
24:42You're shattered on the ground
24:45But still I find you there
24:47Next to me
24:53Oh
24:55Those stupid things I do
25:01You see I'm far from good
25:03It's true
25:05But still I find you
25:07Next to me
25:15Thank you so much, thank you
25:23It's really uh
25:25It's been fun to
25:27To tear these songs kind of down
25:29And strip them down to
25:31To their core
25:33That's actually how we write songs
25:35Is it starts in a very
25:37Stripped down raw way
25:39So it's either with a piano
25:41Or a guitar
25:44That
25:46That chord progression
25:48Kind of tapping into what the story is
25:50What the feeling is
25:52And then trying to serve it in the studio
25:54Has always been our way
25:56But there's something
25:58Something
26:00That we always find out
26:02By stripping it down
26:04And so this is a beautiful thing
26:06To be able to start this record
26:08Doing the songs this way
26:10We're going to do another song for you
26:13Stripped down like that
26:15And this will be our first time
26:17This will be our first time playing
26:19Take Me to the Beach
26:21And we're also going to do this
26:23In a stripped down fun way
26:25So before we do this one
26:27I actually
26:29These are new songs
26:31I'm guessing almost all of you
26:33Unless you've heard it somewhere
26:35Or if it's been leaked
26:37And if you have it
26:39Because it's been leaked
26:42You remember Limewire?
26:44I was doing all
26:46The illegal downloads
26:48Let me tell you
26:50So
26:52The chorus on this
26:54If you guys want you can help us maybe sing a part
26:56Because it kind of needs a gain
26:58So I'm just going to teach it to you
27:00And if you feel comfortable you can do it
27:02It's pretty easy
27:04Yeah we want
27:06Okay this song
27:08Is really about wanting to just escape
27:11Reality
27:13And also have an opinion about things
27:15I thought
27:17It took me a long time to remember that it's okay for me
27:19To have an opinion about things
27:21And I think it's important for that
27:23So I'll show you the part
27:27So this is what you're going to do
27:29Ah
27:31Ah
27:33Ah
27:35Ah
27:37Ah
27:39Ah
27:41Ah
27:43Ah
27:45Okay okay I'll show you now
27:47Take
27:49Me to the beach
27:51You can have the mountains
27:53You take the snow
27:55It's way too cold
27:57My heart is cold enough
27:59Push comes to shove
28:01You can have
28:03The mountains
28:05I take the beach
28:07Take me to the beach
28:09Ah
28:11You can have the mountains
28:13You take the snow
28:15It's way too cold
28:17My heart is cold enough
28:19Push comes to shove
28:21Ah
28:23You can have the mountains
28:25I take the beach
28:27Alright you got it?
28:29Okay let's try it
28:31Should we try it?
28:33This is our first time
28:35I'm hot
28:37I'm just taking this off
28:39Okay okay
28:45Sure thank you
28:47Okay okay everybody remembers that part right?
28:49Ah
28:51And it's ah
28:53Not oh
28:55I'm just kidding you can do whatever
28:57Okay
28:59Can we do it?

29:15Got a million people saying how to plan it
29:17I can't no longer stand it
29:19Gonna spend my days telling them to can it
29:21Each one to their own
29:23I got a salesman
29:25Ringing my phone
29:27Tell me where to go
29:29No I don't wanna hear the down low
29:31I oh
29:33Nothing not a penny
29:35Never wanna hear you preach
29:37No
29:39Take me to the beach
29:41Ah
29:43You can have the mountains
29:45You take the snow
29:47It's way too cold
29:49My heart is cold enough
29:51Push comes to shove
29:53Ah
29:55You can have the mountains
29:57I take the beach
29:59If you want it come and get it
30:01Got a million people telling me they're with it
30:03And they got me at my limit
30:05And I'm telling you I never spare a minute
30:07If you wanna
30:09Keep on living
30:11With the sucker who is telling you your limit
30:13Gotta find out it's a gimmick
30:15Can't nobody tell you how to live it
30:17I oh
30:19Nothing not a penny
30:21Never walking on a leash
30:23No
30:25Take me to the beach
30:27Ah
30:29You can have the mountains
30:31You take the snow
30:33It's way too cold
30:35My heart is cold enough
30:37Push comes to shove
30:39You can have the mountains
30:41I take the beach
30:43Break it down, break it down
30:49Come on Wayne
30:55Bring it home
30:59Come on Wayne
31:21Better off alone
31:23Like a rolling stone
31:25Turning off my phone
31:27No one bringing me down, down, down, down
31:31Just give me some space
31:33That's hurting my face
31:35And the days go on and on and on and on
31:39Take me to the beach
31:41Ah
31:43You can have the mountains
31:45You take the snow
31:47It's way too cold
31:49My heart is cold enough
31:51Push comes to shove
31:53You can have the mountains
31:55You take the snow
31:57It's way too cold
31:59My heart is cold enough
32:01Push comes to shove
32:03You can have the mountains
32:05Ah
32:07I take the, take the, take the, take the
32:09I don't have no friends
32:11Ask anyone
32:13I got me to the end
32:15My favorite one
32:17Oh I don't have no friends
32:19Ask anyone
32:21I got me to the end
32:23Thank you
32:33You guys did that beautifully
32:35Thank you very much
32:39I even saw the little ones down here
32:41They were like ah
32:43It was amazing
32:45We're gonna play the song that started everything for us
32:47Wrote this song while dropping out of college
32:49To pursue my love of music
32:51I got into college
32:53Then I got kicked out of college
32:55And I got back into college
32:57Only to drop out of college
32:59Joke's on you
33:01Still a junior in college actually
33:03Maybe one day
33:05I'm gonna play this song
33:07While dropping out of college
33:09To pursue my love of music
33:11I got into college
33:13Maybe one day
33:15I'm not saying to not stay in school
33:17You know
33:19I'm feeling guilty
33:33This song is for all the people who've been with us for over a decade
33:35Thank you so much
33:37We love you
33:43This is what you meant
33:45When you said that you would spend
33:47And now it's time to build
33:49From the bottom of the pit
33:51Right to the top
33:53Don't hold back
33:57Packing my bags
33:59Giving the academy
34:01A rain check
34:03I don't ever wanna
34:05Let you down
34:09I don't ever wanna leave this town
34:13Cause after all
34:17This city never sleeps at night
34:19It's time to begin
34:21Isn't it
34:23I get a little bit
34:27I'm just the same as I was
34:31Now don't you understand
34:35I'm never changing who I am
34:43Hey
34:57So this is where you fell
34:59And I am left to sell
35:03The path that heaven runs
35:05Through miles of clouded hell
35:07Right to the top
35:09Don't look back
35:11I'm
35:13Turning to rags
35:15And giving the commodities
35:17A rain check
35:19I don't ever wanna
35:21Let you down
35:23Oh
35:25I don't ever wanna leave this town
35:31Cause after all
35:33This city never
35:35Sleeps at night
35:37It's time to begin
35:39I get a little bit
35:41Bigger, bigger than
35:43All of me
35:45I'm just the same as I was
35:49Now don't you understand
35:53I'm never changing who I am
35:55It's time to begin
35:57Isn't it
35:59I get a little bit
36:01Bigger, bigger than
36:03All of me
36:05I'm just the same as I was
36:07Now don't you understand
36:11I'm never changing who I am
36:15This road
36:17Never looked so lonely
36:19But this house
36:21Doesn't burn down
36:23Slowly
36:25To ashes
36:27To ashes
36:33It's time to begin
36:35I get a little bit
36:37Bigger, bigger than
36:39All of me
36:41I'm just the same as I was
36:45Now don't you understand
36:49That I'm never changing who I am
36:51It's time to begin
36:53Isn't it
36:55I get a little bit
36:57Bigger, bigger than
36:59All of me
37:01I'm just the same as I was
37:03Now don't you understand
37:07That I'm never changing who I am
37:33Thank you for all the DJs
37:35Thank you for all the people who have spun our songs
37:37Believed in this band from a very, very
37:39Early time
37:41When there was no reason to be believing in us
37:43Thank you so much, we owe so much to K-Rock
37:45We love you
37:47This is our new single off our new record
37:49It's called Eyes Closed
38:03Eyes Closed
38:11I'm back from the dead
38:13From the back of my head
38:15Been gone and facing horrors that should never be said
38:17The wrath and the grit
38:19From the pit of despair
38:21Been taking every whip and word
38:23I've never been spared
38:25They say tomorrow's never promised
38:27Honest
38:29They say that angels
38:31Are just
38:33Locked me up in a maze
38:35Turn out, turn out the lights
38:37I was born, I was raised
38:39For this
38:41Turn out, turn out the lights
38:43Lock me up inside a
38:45Cage
38:47Just throw away the key, don't worry about me
38:49Trapping in my car
38:51Throwing up my hands, put it in
38:53Closed
38:55I can do this with my eyes closed
38:57Turn out, turn out the lights
38:59I can do this with my eyes closed
39:01Turn out, turn out the lights
39:07Less medication
39:09Less manifestations
39:11Mantras
39:13Meditation
39:15Throw it all away
39:17All the places I've been
39:19All the blood that I've bled
39:21I've been broken down and beat up, but I still get ahead
39:23All the tasteless embraces
39:25And the tasteless two-faces
39:27I'll never be fed
39:29They say tomorrow's never promised
39:31Honest
39:33They say
39:35Piranhas are among us
39:37Lock me up in a maze
39:39Turn out, turn out the lights
39:41I was born, I was raised
39:43For this
39:45Turn out, turn out the lights
39:47Lock me up inside a
39:49Cage
39:51Just throw away the key, don't worry about me
39:53I was trapping in my car
39:55Throwing up my hands, put it in
39:57Closed
39:59I can do this with my eyes closed
40:01Turn out, turn out the lights
40:03I can do this with my eyes closed
40:05Turn out, turn out the lights
40:11When the day broke
40:13Buried in violence
40:15Something made my mind up
40:17I will spend these days
40:19As an island
40:21Alone and far away
40:23Far away
40:29Lock me up in a maze
40:31Turn out, turn out the lights
40:33I was born, I was raised
40:35For this
40:37Turn out, turn out the lights
40:39Lock me up inside a
40:41Cage
40:43Just throw away the key, don't worry about me
40:45I was trapping in my car
40:47Throwing up my hands, put it in
40:49Closed
40:51I can do this with my eyes closed
40:53Turn out, turn out the lights
40:55I said, I can do this with my eyes closed
40:57Turn out, turn out the lights
40:59I can do this with my eyes closed
41:01Turn out, turn out the lights
41:03I can do this with my eyes closed
41:05Turn out, turn out the lights
41:07I can do this with my eyes closed
41:09Turn out, turn out the lights
41:11I can do this with my eyes closed
41:13I can do this with my eyes closed
41:15I can do this with my eyes closed
41:17I can do this with my eyes closed
41:19Thank you
41:23Thank you so much, thank you
41:35I believe this album comes out
41:37On Thursday night
41:399pm
41:41Right?
41:43We spent about 2 years working on this
41:45Um
41:47It's a bright record
41:49It has the most tempo of anything we've done
41:51It's maybe the saddest record too
41:53At times
41:55I feel like it's our most
41:57Cohesive
41:59Bipolar record
42:01There's moments that are very playful
42:03Like take me to the beach
42:05Kid
42:07And then there's moments that are a little more
42:09Taxing
42:11In your corner
42:13And then there's moments of
42:15There's just
42:17You know what?
42:19At the end of the day, like Dragons
42:21It's always a journal
42:23The guys have always given me free reign to write every word and melody
42:25Nobody writes our lyrics
42:27I've always written everything
42:29And it's an honest output of life
42:31And that's it
42:33And to know that it's connected with people in any way
42:35Has been our only goal
42:37Music always brought me
42:39It made me feel less alone
42:41Even if I never met the person
42:43And through the music
42:45And I felt as if I knew them
42:47I felt as if I knew the people around me
42:49That's our only goal here
42:51Thank you so much for being with us
42:53We'll see you
42:55We'll see you on the road
42:57For the guys
42:59Oh I was just gonna take them off
43:01We head out on the road here
43:03These are actually really beautiful
43:05How come?
43:07I like mine more actually
43:09These are good too
43:11These are beautiful
43:13I wanted one colorful one
43:17Oh there was one for me
43:19I'm so sorry guys
43:21Lead singer priority
43:41Oh
43:47This is awesome, thank you
43:49This will be our last song
43:51We'll see you on the road
44:01First things first
44:03I must say all the words
44:05Inside my head
44:07I'm fired up, I'm tired of the way
44:09That things have been, oh
44:13The way that things have been, oh
44:17Now second things second
44:19Don't you tell me what you think
44:21That I should be
44:23I'm the one in the sale
44:25I'm the master of my CEO
44:29The master of my CEO
44:35I was broken from a young age
44:37Smoking to the masses
44:39Writing my poems for the few
44:41Who look at me, took a look, shook at me
44:43Feeling me singing from heartache
44:45To pain, my message from the veins
44:47Speaking my lesson from the brain
44:49Seeing the beauty through the soul
44:53You made me a, you made me a believer
44:57Believer
45:01Pain, you break me down
45:03You build me up, believer
45:07Pain
45:09Let the bullets fly, let them rain
45:13My life, my love, my driving came from
45:17You made me a, you made me a believer
45:21Believer
45:31Third things first
45:33Send a prayer to the ones up above
45:35All the hate that they hurt
45:37Has turned their spirit to a dove, oh
45:41Your spirit up above, oh
45:47I was choking in the crowd
45:49Putting my brain out in the cloud
45:51Falling like ashes to the ground
45:53Hoping my feelings, they would drown
45:55They never did ever lift up
45:57And it flew and inhibited, limited
45:59Till it blew, blew and it rained down
46:01It rained down like
46:03Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
46:11Pain, you break me down
46:13You build me up, believer
46:15Believer
46:17You see, pain
46:19Let the bullets fly, let them rain
46:23My life, my love, my driving came from
46:27Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
46:33Believer
46:43Last things last
46:45By the grace of the fire and the flames
46:47You're the face of the future
46:51The blood in my veins, oh
46:55The blood in my veins, oh
46:57The blood in my veins, oh
47:01But they never did ever lift up
47:03And it flew and inhibited, limited
47:05Till it blew, blew and it rained down
47:07It rained down like
47:11Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
47:19Pain, you break me down
47:21You build me up, believer
47:23Believer
47:25You see, pain
47:27Let the bullets fly, let them rain
47:31My life, my love, my driving came from
47:35Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
47:41Believer
47:55You see, pain
47:57Let the bullets fly, let them rain
47:59My life, my love, my driving came from
48:01Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
48:03Believer
48:05You see, pain
48:07Let the bullets fly, let them rain
48:09My life, my love, my driving came from
48:11Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
48:13Believer
48:15You see, pain
48:17Let the bullets fly, let them rain
48:19My life, my love, my driving came from
48:21Pain, you made me a, you made me a believer
48:23Thank you guys!
48:25I have to say, you're the best crowd
48:27Of all time! I love you!
48:29I'm Megan Holliday
48:31Thank you for coming to the Helpahata Soundspace
48:33And we'll see you at the next one!
48:35Yeah!
48:37I've run so far
48:41Can I, can I come home?
48:47I'm so tired
48:49Can I please come home?
48:53I've run so far
