00:00Hey Vogue, it's Alex Cooper.
00:05Today I'm going to be showing you my skincare routine and I'm also going to recreate my
00:10wedding makeup look.
00:12So let's get into it.
00:15I have an honest thing to share with you right off the bat.
00:19I don't wash my face.
00:20Now please don't judge me.
00:21I just realized that like early on when I was breaking out a lot, my skin was super
00:26oily and it was confused and I was struggling a lot with my skincare.
00:29And when I stopped washing my face, all of a sudden I stopped having pimples.
00:35I had no idea what toner was about two years ago.
00:39So I just put a little bit in my hand here.
00:42It is really hydrating to my skin and everything I put on my face, I want to try to maintain
00:49some form of hydration.
00:51We all want to look like that Hailey Bieber donut.
00:54This is the advanced snail mucin.
00:57I'll do like two little squirts there.
01:00I will say this has been the one product that has kept my skin more hydrated, I would say
01:06past 20 minutes.
01:07I feel like whenever I'm putting on serums, I find that it feels amazing in the moment.
01:13And then all of a sudden I'm like downstairs making my coffee and I'm like, my face is
01:17already dry.
01:18This keeps me glowing.
01:20The next step, I remember, I think it was like four years ago, I saw Hailey Bieber in
01:25one of her YouTube videos and this was sitting in her bathroom.
01:29And immediately I'm like online, like I must look like Hailey Bieber and have that skin.
01:37Honestly I would say it was about like two years ago, I really started to care about
01:41my skin.
01:42And I know that's insane because I'm 29 years old, but I didn't really know the answers
01:47and there's so much information online.
01:48So I just started to kind of eyeball it and try different things.
01:52And now I feel like I figured out my place and I know it works for me.
01:56This is something I've been using recently and I love it.
01:58And it again, gives me that hydrated feel and it can't hurt to be more hydrated.
02:05I do find I've started to meditate more.
02:07My mother is really into that.
02:09So I'm like, you know what, mom, we're from the same DNA.
02:12I should probably lean into that.
02:14So I've been trying to meditate more.
02:15I'm not going to lie, it's quite hard with your phone because I'm constantly like, hmm.
02:20And I'm like looking down at my phone.
02:21I'm naturally very fair and I have quite a lot of freckles.
02:25So we're trying to mitigate the damage.
02:28I'm using this Elta MD.
02:33So ChapStick is a huge part of my life.
02:36Anywhere you look for me, you'll see this ChapStick somewhere.
02:39Burt's Bees Pomegranate.
02:40I really don't even use it for ChapStick.
02:42I use it because it has this really, really nice tint.
02:45Like sometimes Matt will come home and be like, I got you a Burt's Bees.
02:47And I'm like, it's not the pomegranate one though, Matt.
02:51This just feels right to me.
02:52If something feels right, you stick with it.
02:55And I think something I realized also from social media was like,
02:58I would look at someone doing something online and be like, I have to go buy that.
03:01What works on someone doesn't work on all of us.
03:04Okay, so now onto makeup.
03:05Something that was really important to me on my wedding day
03:08was making sure I looked like myself.
03:11First things first, this is the Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer.
03:18This is my favorite foundation at the moment,
03:21the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.
03:25It deserves all the hype.
03:26I have been wearing this now, I would say for about a year
03:29and I have never gotten more compliments on my skin.
03:34Okay, so I know this looks like way lighter than my skin tone.
03:37Don't freak out.
03:38Don't panic.
03:39Trust me, trust me, trust me.
03:41There's a method to the madness.
03:47When I'm doing my makeup, I know, don't come for me, okay?
03:51I have to constantly wipe my lips off.
03:54I have always had an appetite to do more than just podcasting.
03:59I went to school for film and television.
04:00I've always wanted to be a director.
04:02I've always wanted to direct a film,
04:03which I probably, hopefully at one point will do.
04:06Let's manifest it right now.
04:07When I saw Alex Earl online and how hard she works on TikTok,
04:11I was like, she's a workhorse and she's an animal and she's so smart.
04:15And so Alex was the first person for the Unwell Network
04:18where when we started to conceptualize it,
04:20she really just like embodied everything that I wanted to do.
04:24Wait, we have to pause.
04:25The Mario contour stick.
04:27Everything I'm about to draw on my face,
04:28I learned from someone else.
04:30So this is from actually my makeup artist who did my wedding.
04:35This is not just me randomly painting on my face.
04:38And I'm still obsessed with Call Her Daddy
04:40and I still plan on doing Call Her Daddy,
04:42but I have an appetite to do more.
04:46We're just kind of blending.
04:48Oh my God, I always do this where I almost forget the nose.
04:51If we really want to snatch it, go up.
04:55I think this just kind of like gives you a little lift.
04:57If I'm honest, I used to be really, really insecure
05:00about my freckles and I would do foundation to the point
05:02where like people would be like,
05:04I didn't even know that you had freckles.
05:06Now I think it's beautiful to just lean into my skincare
05:08and just be like, this is how I was born.
05:10And I'm like, okay, I don't know what to do with this.
05:13I don't want to be insecure and just be like,
05:14this is how I was born.
05:15Let's lean in.
05:16Sometimes what I like to do is lightly, lightly
05:19go back in with the Giorgio.
05:26It's really cool because I was talking
05:28to everyone that I work with.
05:29And I recognize that of my list in 2022 of dream guests.
05:35I had 10 dream guests
05:38and I think I got seven out of the 10 dream guests.
05:40My dream guests for Call Her Daddy of 2024
05:43would probably be Taylor Swift, obviously.
05:45I would be insane if I didn't want Taylor Swift.
05:47She is just iconic.
05:49And I think she is so, so incredible and talented.
05:53And I love her and I love her music.
05:55Taylor, please come on Call Her Daddy.
05:56This is a cream blush.
05:58It's from Nudestix.
05:59I use pink ice.
06:01I love it.
06:01It works pretty well.
06:05I kind of put it all over my cheeks.
06:07I don't know if this is the wrong thing to do
06:11but I think it makes me look alive.
06:13The next thing I'm gonna do is my highlighter.
06:15It is from Anastasia Beverly Hills.
06:17It's the Glow Seeker Highlighter.
06:21Why do we put it on our nose again?
06:23I don't know.
06:24We want to look like a little fairy,
06:25like a little twinkling princess.
06:27My eyebrows are, how would you say, naturally translucent.
06:33So I dye my eyebrows myself
06:37because I'm a genius and I'm so good at it.
06:39No, I've had a lot of mishaps
06:41with my eyebrows.
06:42Honestly, it's been a disaster.
06:43Because the brows are dyed,
06:44we're just gonna go in with this Anastasia Brow Styling Wax.
06:49I will be honest, when I was getting married,
06:51leading up to my wedding,
06:52I was having a mental breakdown
06:53because I'm like, when do I dye the brows?
06:56And so I did it four weeks before my wedding.
06:59Thank God I trusted myself.
07:01We did the thing, we dyed them
07:04and I think they looked great.
07:05And even if they didn't, don't tell me
07:07because for my mental health,
07:08we need to just pretend it was amazing.
07:12Now I go in and fill it in with a pencil,
07:14Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Dark Brown.
07:18So in the front, I basically just do tiny little strokes.
07:26Okay, the last piece of my makeup routine
07:29is going to be my mascara.
07:32I have pretty naturally long lashes.
07:34My left eye, I was naturally born.
07:36This is bright white eyelash and this is a brown eyelash.
07:41So whenever I'm dyeing my eyebrows,
07:43I also stick a little bit on there.
07:45Oh yeah, there's the blonde seeping through
07:46and then this one is naturally brown.
07:49Okay, so I use this Glossier Mascara.
07:55I feel like I could go get married right now.
07:57Matt, let's do it again.
07:58So obviously, seventh grade Alex
08:01on the way to the seventh grade dance
08:03would put this on her body
08:04and she knew boys were gonna come over.
08:07Viva La Juicy.
08:08I don't know, I don't use it every day,
08:10but when I'm feeling like I wanna feel cozy and nostalgic,
08:13like put me in.
08:18It just gives a little of like this glossy finish.
08:21I feel like we killed it.
08:23I'm happy with the way it turned out.
08:25I do really feel like it looks like what I did
08:27in Mexico for my wedding.
08:29So I hope you guys learned a little something from this
08:32or you learned what not to do.
08:33Daddy gang, I love you.
08:35Vogue, I love you.
08:37Thank you for having me.
