00:00Yields back. Who seeks recognition?
00:03Gentleman from North Carolina is recognized. Thank you, Mr Chairman. I
00:08wonder if my friend from North Carolina would engage in a colloquy. So
00:12I'll if I like to pose a question to Miss Ross, given what was just said,
00:18um, in the
00:20Mr Swanitzer was the ghost writer of what you just described and the
00:25ranking member before you described as a book about the death of President
00:29Biden's son.
00:31Why was President Biden, according to special counsel, her reading from
00:37classified materials about Afghanistan to his ghost writer in a book that was
00:42solely about the death of President Biden's son.
00:49You don't care to answer. I can understand. I have. No, I didn't yield,
00:53and I don't have any information about that. So I suggest that you use your
00:58minutes. I'll reclaim my time in contempt. Resolution. My time, gentlemen
01:02from North Carolina. Yeah, that's my time. I offered to engage in a
01:05colloquy to which would have the effect of refuting the absurd allegation that
01:10you made. But I can understand why you don't want to answer because it's an
01:14irrefutable point.
01:17Uh, no one that I know about who's interested in securing Mr Swanitzer's
01:22compliance with the lawful process served upon him has had anything to say
01:26about the death of Bo Biden.
01:28No one's read from the
01:32provision. The parts of the book about Bo Biden to frame this matter. The
01:38question is,
01:41why was Joe Biden reading from classified materials to somebody
01:46without a security client clearance in a matter for which he was going to be
01:50paid $8 million?
01:51And this Congress needs to investigate and consider what is necessary. And it
01:59is the committee vested by this, by this House of Representatives with
02:04inquiring into the grounds for impeachment of the self same president.
02:11And it the hypocrisy is mind blowing. I wonder if Steve Bannon could imagine
02:21that someone might, for a political purpose, pursue a
02:26a contempt resolution. But there's no political purpose here. It is the
02:32responsibility of this person who received classified information
02:38to provide what he has to this committee to evaluate.
02:45It's it's just almost it's unspeakable. I was thinking about the legislative
02:50purpose that was cited in order to secure the personal private income tax
02:55returns of President Trump.
02:59We can all say with certainty that there was no motivation of a political
03:03sword involved in that. Wow. Calling the tune requires playing by the tune.
03:12But
03:14Mr. Zwanitzer is an ordinary citizen. The process served upon him to compel
03:21him to provide information to this committee. Straightforward. He has
03:26with the most frivolous of arguments flouted his responsibility under law. It
03:32is this committee's responsibility to proceed. That's how it works. It's very
03:37simple. Nothing more to it than that. It's time we get on with it. I'm fully
03:41in support of the A. N. S. Mr Chairman. With that, I yield to anyone.
