00:00What do you think about the relationship between a child and an animal?
00:04From an emotional point of view, the child is guaranteed a very stable relationship,
00:12characterized by affection and lack of judgment.
00:17All this contributes to improving the child's self-esteem.
00:23From a relational point of view, the relationship with an animal
00:27allows the child to get in touch with someone who is different from him or her.
00:33This stimulates respect for diversity
00:39and also drives an improvement of empathy, a good development of empathy.
00:47Finally, from a cognitive point of view,
00:51the animal first of all facilitates the child's learning
00:55because it induces a state of calm, so all cognitive processes are facilitated.
01:01And then, thanks to the daily contact with the animal,
01:05the child is facilitated in the learning of some basic biological concepts,
01:09such as the fact that all animals eat, drink, breathe, have a heart, move.
01:16These learnings are much stronger, much more effective
01:21because they are conveyed by a relationship that has an important emotional content.
