00:00Whatever it takes to find that way to win, and that's what it's all about.
00:03Finding a way to win, no matter what the circumstance or who we're playing.
00:07We gotta make sure that we rise up each and
00:10every time that we get on the field, and that's what we've been able to do.
00:13But like I said, yeah, it will be great to win by 40.
00:17But it's football, you got adversity, you got great teams that you're playing against.
00:21So it's not always gonna be like that.
00:23And we know that we got what it takes to finish the game and
00:26come out with a win no matter what.
00:27You just mentioned every week in the back, it's a ranked team,
00:29it's some tough team, yet you guys find that way to win.
00:32What does it say about your team that you've risen to the occasion every time?
00:34Man, it's just character and just the will.
00:37We just got a lot of will to win, and the guys got a lot of fight in them.
00:41They never give up.
00:42Adversity shows up, we punch it in the face.
00:45We make sure that we come out on top the next play.
00:48We gotta keep that one-on-one mindset, and I feel like that's what we do great.
00:51Just having that one-on-one mindset,
00:53understanding that the play before can't affect the play that's right in front of
00:56you, so we're just taking one step at a time and just continue to keep pushing.
01:00That was Coach DeBoer's 100th career win.
01:03How much of your guy's success is just trusting that those guys will catch up?
01:08Yeah, man, Coach DeBoer is a great coach.
01:10Like I said, he's one of the biggest reasons why I came here, for sure.
01:13And I always knew I wanted to play for him after I played for him in 2019 in Indiana.
01:20And he's just a guy that everybody attracts to and
01:24everybody trusts because of the person he is.
01:26He's the same guy every day, and he leads us very well.
01:29He continues to make sure that he puts the person over the player.
01:33He always makes sure that, as a person, we're good in our lives,
01:39in daily lives, and everybody has lives outside of football.
01:42And then he takes care of us as a player.
01:45So he's just a great guy and somebody that is easy to like.
01:48Can you talk a little bit about Rome?
01:50It just looked like he was getting grabbed, pushed, mugged, everything else.
01:53They were really physical in there.
01:54Can you talk a little bit about Rome?
01:55Yeah, man, Rome is a great receiver.
01:57He's gotta do whatever it takes to try to stop them.
02:00But he did have a lot of big-time plays, two touchdowns a day,
02:05a couple big-time plays in critical moments.
02:07And he just shows his poise and his matureness in the game.
02:12And he continues to keep fighting.
02:13He knows he's gonna draw some of those flags and stuff like that.
02:17Because of the guy he is, it's hard to guard him.
02:19So he just continues to stay level-headed and continue to keep pushing.
02:23Do you find yourself sometimes just throwing the ball to Rome?
02:25Because it's Rome where you maybe wouldn't have thrown it to anybody else
02:27because of the trust you have in him.
02:28I throw it to whoever opens it.
02:30What was your view on Alphonso's almost pick six?
02:34What was your view on Alphonso's almost pick six?
02:36Did you see him running?
02:37Yeah, I seen him running.
02:38I seen it on the big screen that he dropped it before.
02:41I was like, all right, man.
02:42But at the same time, adversity, things happen.
02:45We just gotta continue to find ways to step up.
02:49And the defense, they stepped up the next play and got a safety.
02:52So it was very good.
02:54You've probably addressed this, but did you feel the wind today?
02:57Did you have to adjust to that at all?
02:58Or is it just the same thing?
03:00No, I definitely felt it.
03:01Sometimes the ball got away from me, but at the same time,
03:05like I said, I can't make no excuse for my circumstance.
03:08So I just had to make the plays and just give the guys a chance at the ball.
03:11And they'll make the play for me, so.
03:14Is that first rushing touchdown a kind of message to people that maybe doubt your
03:17running ability?
03:18No, man, it was just doing whatever it takes to win this football game.
03:22People can doubt my running ability.
03:24It's all good.
03:26I want you to doubt it.
03:27And then whenever I bust out one for 50 one of these days,
03:30you might get surprised.
03:31But I'm just gonna do whatever it takes to win.
