00:18Ivan, residents here in Barangay 351, Santa Cruz, Manila are hoping that the incidents of fire caused by barbed wire will be reduced.

00:29That is after the approval of a resolution that will remove the use of spaghetti wires in the entire NCR.

00:41A week after the fire, this is what the length of Elia Street in Barangay 351, Santa Cruz, Manila looks like.

00:48Barbed wire remains the main source of electricity. It is also the reason for the fire that destroyed 30 houses.

00:56And until now, there is still no electricity.

00:59They call for a proper problem with the electric wiring in the area that they have been enduring for a long time.

01:05The electricity is really hard. We don't have electricity. It's dark. We can't move properly.

01:12It's really hard to lose a house. It's really pervasive.

01:19The broken lines of electricity are the only reason for the fire in the area.

01:30Yesterday, the Metro Manila Council approved a resolution that is appealing to the local governments in NCR
