00:00A feedback is starting to come in from Vernell Brown.
00:03Now, Vernell Brown, he he and coach Kevin Beard already went viral
00:07this week for the backflip, right?
00:09We had that video for you on yesterday's episode of 43 year old
00:13Miami receivers coach Kevin Beard and four star wide receiver
00:18official visitor Vernell Brown doing the tandem backflip.
00:22I love that video.
00:23And it just goes to show you KB will go the extra mile
00:27to try to relate to these young men.
00:28And I love it.
00:29He does an excellent, excellent job in recruiting.
00:31And, you know, Kevin Beard just last year pulled in one of the best
00:36wide receiver classes in America, having the trio of Chance Robinson,
00:41Josiah Trader and Nicar last year.
00:44What's the encore going to be this year now?
00:47You know, Vernell Brown is someone who we've seen him at times
00:51strongly trending to Ohio State.
00:54The recruiting overlord told us earlier this week that Florida
00:57state is very much in for Brown's recruitment.
01:00I wonder if Miami might've made a move to the point where the hurricanes
01:04can get themselves right in that mix to possibly be the favorites.
01:07Uh, and also having Vernell Brown and Jamie French visit in tandem.
01:11I hadn't really thought about this, but these guys are friends
01:14and seven on seven teammates, SFE.
01:18I was watching a video with Josh Newberg and Azubi Charles on, on three.
01:23And Azubi, I think it might've even been Josh who brought up the idea that,
01:26you know, maybe Miami is trying to recruit these guys as a tandem
01:29because they are, they are tight.
01:30They know each other very well.
01:32And maybe not just Miami, other universities might also say, Hey, we'd
01:35love to get you guys in here as maybe a package deal, you enjoy each other's
01:39company, you like playing together.
01:40Why don't you come play together here?
01:42Maybe Miami was using that pitch as well.
01:44I don't necessarily think these two players will end up committing to the
01:47same place, but it can't hurt the pitch for that be, uh, for that possibly being
01:52something that Miami is going after.
01:54Uh, but here's what Vernell Brown said to on three sports
01:57this morning after his visit.
01:59He says the visit was monumental.
02:01He said, obviously this is my second OV, so I don't want to say they're
02:06the leader or anything like that, but this was a really good visit
02:09and it really helped Miami.
02:10He said, they were just saying how I can take this program to the next level.
02:14One thing that they did different from anyone else so far is they showed me a
02:19detailed plan they had for me specifically, just showing me the steps
02:23that I'll take from my freshman year to my junior year, if it's three and out
02:28deal and for whatever reason, if it took four years, that what, what that would
02:32look like and even some special team stuff.
02:35Um, I, you know, I kind of wish for Nell Brown hadn't put that out in the open,
02:39but I have heard these stories before from recruits and they really like it.
02:42Uh, apparently this is not a very common thing around the country that Miami
02:46staff, they get so uber prepared for these visits that, like he said, they
02:53show most every player, maybe every player that comes in for an OV, they
02:57show you that detailed plan of this is how we expect your trajectory to go from
03:03how we use you, from how you develop, from what, you know, what you're going
03:06to learn here, how much you're going to play here, you know, and I'm not
03:09saying promising starting jobs or anything like that, but they show
03:12players a detailed three to four year plan.
03:14I've heard these stories before, and apparently it's something
03:17that not a lot of other schools do.
