The Miami Hurricanes put attention to detail on full display in their third practice of fall training camp on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024. Miami is four weeks away from facing the Florida Gators on the road.

00:00Just came out of the media viewing for the third Miami Hurricanes practice of
00:04fall training camp. Shoulder pads and shorts today so we had a little bit more
00:09contact in this practice but it was a very detail-oriented practice was one of
00:14my takeaways. I was really closely watching offensive coordinator Shannon
00:17Dawson today who was getting very animated wanted really really precise
00:22route running on certain. Oh a cameo from Matt Chaudel. He does a great job on his
00:27podcast. He's too positive though. He needs to be a little more negative. Don't
00:30you think? You need to be more positive. That's Matt Chaudel from Canesport with
00:35the cameo. I love that dude. So yeah watching Shannon Dawson shouting out
00:39instructions and really being detail-oriented about where he wanted
00:43everyone to be. Coach Kevin Beard the same thing. There was a specific play
00:47that they were working on for a good amount of time. They wanted things to be
00:51very precise. I saw some good stuff out there from young receiver Nye Carr true
00:57freshman and also from young running back Jordan Lyle true freshman who was
01:02looking good on inside running drills and Carr. Carr had a good play today. A
01:07deep throw from Judd Anderson that was about to be intercepted and Nye Carr
01:12ripped it out of the defensive backs hands to turn it into a catch instead of
01:16an interception. You know again it was watching the offensive line going up
01:21against the defensive line on inside run drills. I thought the O-line was doing a
01:24pretty good job today opening up some holes. You see how maybe some of these
01:28guys might have gotten snubbed not making the the all ACC team this year
01:33but all in all remember folks we only get to watch a small portion of practice
01:38for the media viewing. We're going to talk to some players after practice today
01:41and get more context from everything that happened on the field. So it is a
01:45kind of an ugly day out here at Coral Gables. It's cloudy it's a little rainy
