00:13 YOD Milkshop offers a unique breakfast experience, combining quality, affordability, and community.

00:20 In Taipan area, there is hardly a true breakfast shop.

00:26 Our goal is to build a community breakfast shop.

00:30 So that we want all the neighbourhoods to come over and we know each other,

00:35 we will greet each other and we remember all their names and so on.

00:38 That's a very beautiful thing that can happen to a breakfast shop.

00:42 That's what we are working hard and trying to achieve.

00:46 While the physical store only opened last November,

00:49 YOD Milkshop actually began during the pandemic,

00:53 where Teng started making fresh fruit milk at home.

00:56 Now, he has transformed his endeavour into a quaint neighbourhood breakfast spot,

01:00 with more items on the menu.

01:02 I think Taipan people love us because we sell things at very affordable pricing.

01:09 And then they love our bagels, they love our ideas, and they love to come here.

01:15 Except for one thing, sometimes the waiting time is a bit long and the shop is pretty compact.

01:21 Teng's commitment to keeping prices low stems from his own experience as an avid coffee drinker,

01:27 frustrated by high prices.

01:29 He vowed to keep his coffee affordable should he ever start his own establishment.

01:34 After so many years, I really opened a cafe.

01:38 I started to introduce the coffee taste that I like at a very affordable price.

01:44 So that everybody, especially the working class, they also can afford to buy a good coffee every single morning.

01:54 The bagels come with a choice of three delectable flavours, six savoury fillings and eleven sweet fillings.

02:01 And unlike the hard and chewy texture bagels are known for,

02:05 YOD Milkshop offers bagels that are crispy on the outside and soft inside.
