00:00The PKR Youth Wing has stressed that firm action grounded on the principles of law must
00:07continue despite former Prime Minister Najib Razak apologising over the 1MDB scandal.
00:15In a statement, PKR Youth said public interest and justice for the Malaysian people cannot
00:20be compromised, adding that an apology alone will not recover the losses suffered by Malaysians.
00:27It said the scandal has not only tarnished the country's reputation but has also inflicted
00:32significant economic damage and affected the lives of the people.
00:37PKR Youth called on the government and authorities to ensure that all involved in the scandal
00:42are brought to court, regardless of their status or position.
00:46On Friday, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said he welcomed Najib's apology over the 1MDB
00:52scandal.
00:53Today, Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Openg said the same.
00:58On Thursday, Najib said it pained him that the 1MDB fiasco happened when he was the Prime
01:03Minister and Finance Minister, and said he would like to apologise unreservedly over
01:08the debacle.
