00:00Assalam-o-Alaikum, I am Mariam Aiman and today's top stories are special sessions.
00:17A full court has been formed for this in the first part of the program.
00:21We will talk about this issue.
00:23Is the two-thirds majority of the government completely going to end?
00:26After this we will talk about the sessions in Islamabad.
00:29The decision will be heard unilaterally.
00:33The tribunal has said that.
00:35We will talk about this in the second part of the program.
00:37There are a lot of issues in the country.
00:39But the focus of the PMLN government is to increase pressure on social media.
00:45We will talk about this in the last part of the program.
00:47Let's start.
00:48There has been a lot of discussion about the special sessions of the Sunni Union Council.
00:53A full court has been formed for the hearing of this case.
00:56A full court has been formed for the hearing of the special sessions of the Sunni Union Council.
01:03According to sources, the head of the 13-member full court bench will be Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Issa.
01:08And the request of the Sunni Union Council will end on the 3rd of June.
01:13According to sources, Justice Musarrat Halali is not present in the full court bench due to heart problems.
01:19How did this case come to this point?
01:22What all happened during this time?
01:25Let's take a quick look at this.
01:28On March 4, 2024, the Election Commission, under Article 53 of the Constitution and Section 104 of the Election Act,
01:35rejected the request of the Sunni Union Council to return to the special sessions.
01:41On March 4, 2024, the Election Commission decided that the special sessions will not remain empty.
01:47Instead, they will be distributed among the political parties in an appropriate manner.
01:52On March 14, we see that the Peshawar High Court,
01:56in accordance with Article 51 of the Constitution and Section 104 of the Election Act,
02:00issued a ruling that the election commission's decision to allot special sessions to political parties is in accordance with Article 51 of the Constitution and Section 104 of the Election Act.
02:08After that, we see that on May 6,
02:12under the leadership of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah,
02:15the three special benches of the Supreme Court rejected the decision of the Election Commission and the Peshawar High Court
02:19and instructed the committee to form a full court.
02:24On May 13, the Election Commission issued a notification of the rejection of the special sessions of the Supreme Court.
02:34Obviously, there will be politics in the special sessions.
02:37The government has created a double-edged sword.
02:40These special sessions have a lot to do with it.
02:43So, the position of the Minister of Law is the same as that of the government.
02:48These special sessions are for those who are present in the public.
02:52Only those political parties will get the special sessions.
02:56The political parties that have the number one parliamentary presence,
02:59that is, they have come to the election assemblies of victory.
03:02The political parties have issued lists of candidates at the appointed time.
03:07They have issued tickets.
03:09And their candidates have submitted their nomination papers to the returning officers of the Election Commission.
03:17Who should get these special sessions?
03:20The Minister of Law is saying something else,
03:22but his own party and those who are associated with his previous party have a different opinion.
03:28He thinks that these special sessions should be given to the Sunni Tariqat Council.
03:34I personally think that they should get the seats.
03:38They should get the special seats.
03:44That should not be deprived.
03:45You have knocked on the door and said, give us these seats.
03:49I say that we should not get these seats.
03:52We should not get these seats under the law.
03:56What do the experts in this field think about the special sessions?
04:03What does PILDAT think?
04:04What does PAFIN think?
04:05What does the former Secretary of the Election Commission think?
04:07Who should get these special sessions?
04:09Please listen to this too.
04:11The demand for reserved seats should have been done under the PTI.
04:15And they should have got it.
04:17According to me, legally, morally, this was their right.
04:22And they should have got it.
04:23When all these special sessions will be given to the Sunni Tariqat Council,
04:28whose claim is of 78 seats,
04:30then 78 seats are not denied.
04:33But about 26 seats in the National Assembly will be given according to the quota of the Sunni Tariqat Council.
04:39These special sessions cannot be distributed among these communities.
04:43It is written in Article 51 that those who are independent hopefuls and those whose hopefuls win,
04:49or those independent hopefuls who have joined that party,
04:53those sessions will be distributed among all those communities who are present in the National Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly.
05:00So what is the status of these sessions?
05:03According to Tehreek-e-Insaf, there is another twist as a result of the tweets from their social media team.
05:10Now more cases have been filed against Bani PTI.
05:14Now these tweets from the PTI,
05:17who is doing this?
05:19Is this happening on Imran Khan's will?
05:21The opinion of PTI is also divided on this.
05:24People, Fasan Sahib, Ali Muhammad Khan Sahib,
05:26they think that this is not happening on Imran Khan Sahib's will.
05:30These are tweets that they have not seen.
05:32Listen to this.
05:33The misunderstanding that has happened will not happen again.
05:36And anything of Imran Khan Sahib will be repeated again.
05:39It will happen when Imran Khan Sahib's 100% knowledge is brought.
05:42Imran Khan Sahib has made this video and uploaded it.
05:45If Imran Khan Sahib has made this video, then he is in jail.
05:47How can he not upload the video?
05:49It has been uploaded with his approval.
05:50I don't think so.
05:51Everyone knows that Imran Khan PTI has his own Twitter account.
05:54If he has his own, then he is not operating it right now.
05:56See, he is in jail.
05:57Who is operating it?
05:58Social media does not come under my ambit.
06:01So I don't handle it.
06:02So that's an independent unit, you know, which operates outside Pakistan.
06:06Zain Qureshi Sahib, his on-the-record statement is that
06:09whatever is uploaded there is according to the will and desire of the head of Tariq-e-Insaaf.
06:14It is not that someone is doing Khan Sahib's account from outside or someone else is doing it.
06:17Obviously, Imran Khan Sahib is in compliance with the regulations.
06:20And he cannot do his own account.
06:23The party has to do it.
06:24And the party itself tweets about Khan Sahib.
06:27It does it with their approval and endorsement.
06:29There is no doubt about it.
06:32We will talk about this issue.
06:33We will go on a break.
06:34When we come back, Hamid Khan Sahib will be with us.
06:36What is Tariq-e-Insaaf's legal strategy?
06:38What is his opinion on the formation of a full court?
06:41And along with this, the new legal aspect is coming,
06:43in which more cases are being established on behalf of the FIA.
06:46Hamid Khan Sahib will take advice on this.
06:48Stay with us after the break.
06:50Pakistan Tariq-e-Insaaf Center.
06:51Hamid Khan Sahib is present with us.
06:52Thank you very much, Khan Sahib, for joining us.
06:54First of all, the formation of a full court bench has taken place today.
06:57Is Tariq-e-Insaaf satisfied with the formation of a full court?
07:01What is your party's opinion on this?
07:05The party's objective is that the Supreme Court listens to this case
07:11and makes a decision according to it.
07:15In the end, the bench of three judges said that
07:19we are referring this case to the committee for a larger bench.
07:26Then the committee's opinion is that they should have made a larger bench of five judges or more.
07:33Anyway, they have made a full court bench of 13 judges.
07:38So, it is okay. It is appropriate.
07:40So, in the presence of the Chief Justice, you have no objection to this bench?
07:46Look, we expect that all the judges who listen to this case,
07:53they will make all kinds of judgments and make all kinds of judgments and decide for justice.
08:05Right. Because, sir, before this, in 2021, you were probably the one who took a petition
08:10that such matters should be separated.
08:13So, now it is okay. I mean, now you have no objection.
08:17I am asking because your previous position was of Tariq-e-Insaaf.
08:20Look, there were some other elements to it.
08:23In 2021, when Chief Justice Gulzar was there,
08:29his context was a little different.
08:32But today's case is under full court.
08:36When the full court sits, then that case is not on individual judges.
08:42In fact, a collective court gives judgment.
08:47Right. So, you are satisfied with this decision, if we understand this.
08:50Yesterday, when there was a discussion in the court, there were two petitions mentioned.
08:54Mr. Imran Khan mentioned one on 9th May and the other on 8th February.
08:57So, at that time, Chief Justice said that your legal team is looking at all that.
09:00So, sir, what is the status of those petitions now?
09:04Look, those petitions are still pending and have not been fixed yet.
09:11I mean, the 9th May petition was filed on 25th May by Imran Khan.
09:18And similarly, this year, the 8th February incidents,
09:24the way the elections were held, the results have been changed.
09:29I have also filed a petition on behalf of Imran Khan.
09:32It has been pending since the beginning of March.
09:35So, it has been almost three months since I have filed that petition.
09:39So, we have safety in this regard.
09:42And we also have a demand that these two petitions should be brought forward and heard.
09:46Sir, are you satisfied with the work of the legal team so far?
09:49Because you are very actively involved in it.
09:51Are you satisfied with its pace and its style?
09:55The way these cases have progressed.
09:58Look, our legal team, the ones who are open,
10:01they are doing their best.
10:04And I think that they are doing their best.
10:11Now, if these legal matters are delayed, then what can be done about it?
10:16For example, there is a case of Saifuddin.
10:19Our lawyer, Mr. Salman Sartar,
10:22he has argued the case on 15-20 pages.
10:26And he has been asked 12 questions and the cases have been delayed.
10:32So, the court does not accept the cases.
10:35So, the lawyer is not at fault.
10:38Right.
10:39Another legal complication that is increasing for you.
10:43There was a video tweet from your social media, Tariq-e-Insaaf.
10:47And after that, the case of the government FIA.
10:49So, maybe this conversation will go towards a more serious case.
10:53So, is this a worrisome thing for you?
10:56This case is serious.
10:58Is there a risk for Bani PTI?
11:04Look, that is being given a different color.
11:08The tweet of Bani PTI, i.e. Imran Khan sir,
11:12what he has said,
11:15if we look at it in the right perspective,
11:19he is saying that whenever the results of the elections are not accepted,
11:27the result of the elections are not accepted,
11:32the results are terrible.
11:34He has given an example from that reference.
11:37The case of 1931 and the case of East Pakistan,
11:41which we have suffered a great loss.
11:47He has mentioned it from that reference.
11:51It is not that he is blaming someone,
11:54or that there is a loss to the country,
11:57or that there is a difference in its peace.
11:59There is no such thing.
12:01But it seems that the people who have tried to victimize Mr. Khan in every way,
12:09they try to twist every tweet or every statement of his
12:15to confuse him in some new way.
12:20This is not the case at all.
12:22The tweet that has been tweeted, does your party endorse that tweet?
12:26Are you standing as a party with that tweet?
12:30Look, I have explained to you.
12:32Yes, yes, sir.
12:33What is its real meaning and purpose.
12:36Right.
12:37And I am with you.
12:38You are standing.
12:39The issue is that some people have distanced themselves from it.
12:42Like Ali Muhammad Khan sir said,
12:44that Mr. Khan does not tweet himself.
12:46Whatever will be tweeted in the future, it will be according to his will.
12:48Mr. Hassan said that the social media team from outside has tweeted.
12:51So it seems that some people are distancing themselves from it.
12:55Some people say that it happened by Mr. Khan's will.
12:57It did not happen by Mr. Khan's will.
12:59You meet him.
13:00Do you think that social media is run by Mr. Khan's will?
13:03Does he make that strategy on it?
13:06No, I have never had any direct relationship with social media.
13:13So I do not want to say anything negative in this matter.
13:17But what I have understood,
13:20what is in the tweet,
13:22whether it came directly from him or from his team,
13:29basically the point is that it does not mean at all
13:33and this is not the message
13:35that the country's solidarity should be delivered to the people.
13:38This is not the policy of the PTI.
13:40We are the people of the motherland.
13:43PTI is the motherland party.
13:45No such meaning can be taken from it.
13:48Sir, but the government is bent on making a case on this.
13:51Now the issue is that it will have to be established
13:54whether it was tweeted by Mr. Khan's will or not.
13:56So it will have to be established legally.
13:58Maybe there will be a plausible deniability
13:59because he is in jail.
14:00He will not have Twitter handles.
14:02So it will have to be established first
14:05that it is being tweeted by Mr. Imran Khan's will.
14:08Will this be your challenge legally?
14:12Obviously, when this matter comes up,
14:14as long as this matter comes up,
14:17then we will give our motive in the appropriate case.
14:22At this time, we cannot say anything legally.
14:27Because sir, this is a whole matter,
14:32there is a split of opinion in it.
14:35Can we say that whatever is tweeted on the social media
14:42of Tehreek-e-Insaf will be done by Mr. Imran Khan's will?
14:47No, no, this is not necessary.
14:51So sir, if Twitter is handled in his name
14:54and it is tweeted by him,
14:55will his responsibility go to Mr. Khan?
14:57Because he has a Twitter account in his name.
14:59Maybe, but the thing is that he is in jail.
15:04There is a very limited interaction with him.
15:11Therefore, there is nothing legal about it.
15:16Sir, is there any scope for miscommunication?
15:19Because people also say that when four people meet Mr. Khan,
15:22when they come out,
15:23they are not alone in the situation.
15:25So is this a matter of miscommunication here?
15:29This is possible.
15:31The reason is that in the circumstances
15:35and the way in which meetings are allowed,
15:39everything is taken.
15:42You cannot go in with a piece of paper,
15:46nor can you go in with a pen.
15:49Therefore, even if there is a conversation with Mr. Khan,
15:52you cannot upload it appropriately on a piece of paper.
15:56So that's why there are a lot of misunderstandings.
16:00The second thing is that in the circumstances
16:03in which meetings are held,
16:05and whatever people are sitting there,
16:09people of intelligence or others,
16:12there can be no discussion openly.
16:15Therefore, if there is any miscommunication,
16:18it is due to these circumstances.
16:20Sir, there has also been an interview
16:22by Mehdi Hassan, who is an American journalist.
16:25He also sent a question,
16:27he also got answers.
16:28So you are saying that there can be no communication.
16:30But how did the questions go in the interview?
16:33How did the answers come?
16:34How did it go out?
16:35How did it get published?
16:36Explain this a little bit.
16:38How is this possible?
16:39I can't say anything about this.
16:41It is better that Mr. Rao Fasan,
16:44who is the information secretary of the party,
16:48can tell.
16:49Okay.
16:50So, sir, it is also unacceptable
16:52that perhaps the government should start
16:54to close this Twitter account.
16:56Other than that,
16:57serious cases will be made.
16:59When one Pandora's box is closed,
17:01then the other opens.
17:03Do you think that this case can
17:05take a serious form?
17:08See, their intention is that
17:11yes, everything should be closed.
17:13They should be kept away
17:15and their imprisonment should be prolonged.
17:18And all this is very clear.
17:21So the victimization that is going on,
17:25which has been going on for the past two years,
17:28and especially after 9th May,
17:31it is very clear that
17:33they will twist every matter
17:35and try to trap Mr. Khan in it.
17:38They will try to bring charges on him.
17:41They will try to make cases on him.
17:43They will try to put the case in trial.
17:46This is in front of everyone.
17:48Nothing is hidden.
17:50How will they be victimized?
17:54Sir, the tweets that have been made,
17:56let's put the context aside.
17:58In terms of its timing,
18:00do you think you should advise
18:02that such a campaign should be run
18:04as a party member?
18:06What kind of campaign?
18:08Sir, the video that has been tweeted,
18:10does the government think
18:12that a proper campaign is being run?
18:14Do you think that this tweet
18:16is right?
18:18If it has been done, then...
18:20No, this is not a part of a campaign.
18:22This is not a campaign.
18:24This is an opinion.
18:26There is an opinion.
18:28There is an opinion.
18:30There is an opinion.
18:32There is an opinion.
18:34There is an opinion.
18:36There is an opinion.
18:38There is an opinion.
18:40There is an opinion.
18:42There is an opinion.
18:44There is an opinion.
18:46There is an opinion.
18:48There is an opinion.
18:50We should understand that
18:52the results of the elections
18:54should never be distorted.
18:56The results of the elections
18:58should be accepted.
19:00And according to that,
19:02progress should be made.
19:04Right. Thank you very much,
19:06Hamid Khan.
19:08He is with us.
19:10He says that the tweets
19:12that have been made,
19:14does he think that
19:16this is a campaign?
19:18I don't think that
19:20this tweet is problematic.
19:22When we come back,
19:24will the Noon League
19:26be able to hold
19:28the elections in Islamabad?
19:30The hearings of the election
19:32tribunal are very interesting.
19:34The tribunal has said that
19:36if the elections are held
19:38next time,
19:40a unanimous decision
19:42will be issued.
19:44We will talk about this
19:46Welcome back.
19:48Who will have the seats
19:50of the Islamic Assembly in Islamabad?
19:52Is it going out of the hands
19:54of the Muslim League Noon League?
19:56It is a very important case
19:58among the cases in the tribunal.
20:00It is interesting because
20:02it is a high profile case
20:04and it is covered in Islamabad.
20:06But the tribunals have
20:08given some very interesting
20:10orders.
20:12The election tribunal
20:14has given a deadline of 6th June
20:16and has said that
20:18all the candidates should
20:20present with Form 45.
20:22Those who do not present
20:24will be given a unanimous
20:26decision.
20:28How many tribunals have been held
20:30and why is the court taking
20:32such an extreme step?
20:34The first tribunal was held
20:36on 2nd May, then on 20th May,
20:38then on 29th June.
20:40The next tribunal will be held
20:42on 5th and 6th June.
20:50Why has there been an uproar
20:52in the case so far?
20:54Look at it carefully
20:56because the same pattern
20:58will be repeated in the other
21:00tribunals in Pakistan.
21:04The returning officer
21:06could not present
21:08in the court three times.
21:10Mahmood Jahangiri has said
21:12that if the returning officer
21:14does not present today,
21:16then tomorrow's order will be
21:18issued.
21:20There is also a fine.
21:22It is a fine of Rs 15,000.
21:24It is a small fine.
21:26The returning officer will
21:28pay it himself.
21:32What is the second reason
21:34for the uproar?
21:36Anju Maqeel from NA46
21:38is not presenting his statement.
21:40Similarly, Tariq Fazal Chaudhary
21:42from NA47
21:44is not presenting his statement.
21:48Raja Khurram Nawaz from NA48
21:50is also not presenting
21:52his statement.
21:54A development has taken place
21:56in NA48.
21:58Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar
22:00who is a free candidate
22:02and Ali Bukhari
22:04who is a PTI candidate
22:06is also not presenting
22:08his statement.
22:10The election commission
22:12has also submitted
22:14a certified copy of
22:16form 45 and 47 to the court.
22:18The candidates of the
22:20non-league are not presenting
22:22their statements.
22:26Sir, your form 45 has not
22:28been presented yet.
22:30It has been presented to the
22:32whole world.
22:34Sir, you said that
22:36the form 45 has been
22:38presented to you.
22:40Why are you hiding it?
22:42I am not supposed to give it to you.
22:44Why are you hiding it?
22:46He is saying that
22:48he is not supposed to give it
22:50to the reporters but
22:52he is supposed to give it to the court.
22:54The court is repeatedly calling
22:56the tribunal but they are not going there.
22:58Finally, if a decision is made
23:00and two opposing candidates
23:02present their statements,
23:04what will be the result?
23:08They are afraid that
23:10if they present the form 45,
23:12they will be jailed.
23:14They have already told the press conference
23:16that this is the form 45.
23:18I think they will have to bring it.
23:20If they do not bring it,
23:22they will be given a final opportunity
23:24to file a case against them.
23:26The case is high profile
23:28and it is not just about one session.
23:30All the sessions are held in Ahmedabad.
23:32After that,
23:34they will be questioned.
23:36In this case,
23:38if the sessions are reversed,
23:40then the tribunal cases
23:42will be pressurized.
23:44The sessions in Lahore
23:46are being actively pursued
23:48by Mr. Salman Akram Raja.
23:50This is a test case.
23:52Mr. Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar,
23:54a senior politician,
23:56has brought his form 45
23:58Mr. Mustafa,
24:00you have sent your forms
24:02to Mr. Faisal Chaudhary
24:04through your lawyer.
24:06His decision is still pending.
24:08Why is he not bringing his forms?
24:12There is a saying that
24:14to hide one lie,
24:16you have to tell 100 more lies.
24:18The case that is being presented
24:20in the court right now
24:22is between me,
24:24Mr. Ali Bukhari
24:26and Mr. Ali Bukhari.
24:28We all have one set of forms.
24:30Later,
24:32the form 47 was issued.
24:34Now, when you bring
24:367 false statements together,
24:38you will have to tell God
24:40that
24:42the form I am bringing
24:44is correct.
24:46Secondly,
24:48why are the returning officers
24:50not coming?
24:52Why are they not coming
24:54when we have a government officer?
24:56They did a good job
24:58but how will they defend
25:00when we have evidence
25:02and when the judge
25:04matched the evidence
25:06in the court,
25:08the returning officers
25:10and other government officers
25:12will be accused of
25:14forgery.
25:16I have recommended
25:18my lawyer,
25:20Mr. Faisal Chaudhary,
25:22Mr. Ali Bukhari
25:24and Mr. Shoaib Shaheen
25:26to move a CM to the court
25:28before the next date
25:30in which the Secretary of the
25:32Establishment will also be made a party
25:34that these returning officers
25:36will eventually prove
25:38the judgment of the tribunal
25:40because they were found
25:42to be involved in forgery.
25:44They should be made a part
25:46of the ACRs
25:48and the court proceedings
25:50because they were found
25:52to be involved in forgery.
26:20Quickly,
26:22this is the same thing
26:24that is being replicated
26:26in other tribunals.
26:28When the returning officers
26:30don't come,
26:32what is the reason?
26:34The reason is that
26:36they have gone to a meeting
26:38and the judge is sitting
26:40in front of them
26:42and they have to be there
26:44in any case.
26:46This template will be used
26:48to show that Form 45
26:50is a different picture
26:52and Form 47 was issued
26:54with complete fraud.
26:56They will now prove
26:58that Form 47 is wrong.
27:00Or we are wrong
27:02with our Form 45
27:04or the Election Commission
27:06and the winners are wrong.
27:08This decision will be made
27:10and as a result of this decision
27:12all the incidents in Pakistan
27:14will be exposed.
27:16What do we expect
27:18from the next hearing?
27:20Do we expect the decision
27:22to be made
27:24at the next hearing
27:26or will there be
27:28a deliberation
27:30before the decision is made?
27:32The legal process
27:34may take a month or two.
27:36But it won't be long
27:38because there is a judge
27:40and there are three cases
27:42in front of him.
27:44The situation in Punjab
27:46is very interesting.
27:48The government
27:50used the ordinance
27:52against the Chief Justice
27:54of Lahore High Court.
27:56The government is adamant
27:58that the judges appointed
28:00in the election tribunal
28:02should not be there.
28:04The Chief Justice of Lahore
28:06High Court appointed
28:08honourable, dignified people
28:10in the tribunal
28:12The Chief Justice of Lahore
28:14High Court and the government
28:16and the judiciary
28:18of Islamabad High Court
28:20and the speech of the Prime Minister
28:22about the black sheep.
28:24The situation is such
28:26that the judiciary
28:28won't be given the space
28:30to work.
28:32We expect that
28:34they can do something
28:36for the cases in Islamabad
28:38but we will fight it out.
28:40Let the tribunals decide
28:42if you really win.
28:44But the situation
28:46that they have created
28:48in the country
28:50will lead to political instability
28:52in the judiciary and the government.
28:54The government
28:56has to calm down.
28:58The government has to run the system.
29:00If the government is formed
29:02and we want to complete it in five years
29:04then we have to reduce the crisis.
29:06The responsibility of the government
29:08will be given to the tribunals.
29:10What are the possible outcomes
29:12of this decision?
29:14Re-election?
29:16No, the people who are
29:18paying the original result
29:20should be notified.
29:22If their form 45 and 47
29:24are fake
29:26then they won't be
29:28eligible to sit in the National Assembly.
29:30The tribunal will give a decision
29:32against them and notify them.
29:34It will notify Ali Bukhari,
29:36Javed Shaheen.
29:38Can they go for an appeal?
29:40Yes, of course.
29:42If we look at it
29:44then in the next three to four months
29:46there will be a legal decision
29:48and then an appeal
29:50and then the case will go on.
29:52The tribunal has to decide.
29:54If they decide
29:56that their form 45 is fake
29:58and form 47 was issued in a wrong way
30:00then the hopefuls of Muslim League Noon
30:02who have been notified
30:04will appeal in the Supreme Court.
30:06And for that appeal
30:08they can even start a stay.
30:10Until the Supreme Court
30:12hears this decision
30:14our stay will continue.
30:16But in the current situation
30:18it will be difficult.
30:20There are examples in Pakistan
30:22where cases are kept in the Supreme Court
30:24for years
30:26and then their decisions are not made.
30:28We had a deputy speaker on our stay.
30:30A minister was on our stay
30:32for five years.
30:34Our attempt will be
30:36to win this case
30:38in front of the tribunal
30:40and then
30:42if they go to the Supreme Court
30:44they will fight
30:46in front of the mock-up court
30:48and say that
30:50in the case of fraud
30:52those who don't have a mandate
30:54can't be blamed.
30:56You can't deprive
30:58the people of Islamabad
31:00You can't deprive the people
31:02of their right to represent them.
31:04Even if we don't like them
31:06I am against them.
31:08But we should accept
31:10the mandate of the people.
31:12And I hope that
31:14this case will not be delayed
31:16and the mandate of the people
31:18will be returned soon.
31:20The Supreme Court's full bench
31:22is now going to decide
31:24on the special sessions.
31:26When I asked the PTI
31:28they said that they are satisfied
31:30with the special sessions.
31:32They even took a petition
31:34saying that the cases
31:36should not be heard.
31:38So the 13-member bench
31:40is going to decide
31:42on the special sessions.
31:44The question is very simple.
31:46You took the election symbol
31:48from one Jamaat.
31:50How can other Jamaats
31:52who have won seats
31:54get more sessions than their share?
31:56If one Jamaat
31:58has won 3 seats
32:00but has won 5
32:02special sessions
32:04then this is a balance
32:06tipping issue.
32:08So the way the Supreme Court
32:10suspended this case
32:12and when the full court
32:14will sit down
32:16then if we look at it
32:18fairly, according to the law
32:20then these seats
32:22should not go to the government.
32:24The government is deprived
32:26of 2% of the seats.
32:28If they had that 2%
32:30then they could have played
32:32with the law.
32:34There are many
32:36legislations about which
32:38the government wants to bring.
32:40And if they
32:42play with the law
32:44on the basis of such a mandate
32:46which is a questionable mandate
32:48then it is the duty of the courts
32:50to look into it.
32:52Thank you very much.
32:54Mr. Nawaz Khokhar
32:56was with us.
32:58If you look at
33:00the government's
33:02priorities in the last 3 months
33:04what are the real issues
33:06the country is facing
33:08and what are the issues
33:10being discussed in their
33:12press conferences.
33:14It seems that the biggest
33:16issue in Pakistan is
33:18social media.
33:20Whether it is a press conference
33:22or a gathering
33:24or if the media
33:26asks questions
33:28then those who express
33:30concerns about social media
33:32please listen to this.
33:34Social media
33:36cannot be made a free for all
33:38tool to create
33:40anarchy in society.
33:42Introduction of social media
33:44over last decades or so
33:46all over the world
33:48not only the violence
33:50through weapons of war
33:52but violence through thoughts and behaviour also.
33:54Because of social media
33:56the line of truth and lies
33:58has come to an end.
34:00There are some people who live abroad
34:02in Pakistan who wake up in the morning
34:04and try to spread chaos in Pakistan
34:06and destroy everything.
34:08And through fake news
34:10and false propaganda
34:12they do such things.
34:14Traitorous YouTubers were patronised
34:16who portray Pakistan's image
34:18in the world wrongly
34:20and poison the minds
34:22of our young generation.
34:24Be it the minister of defence,
34:26minister of planning,
34:28information minister
34:30or any other official
34:32listen to their press conferences
34:34and also look at the real issues
34:36of this country.
34:38The farmer could not sell his wheat in this country
34:40and he is crying.
34:42A budget is coming
34:44and it is going to be so tight
34:46that people will lose their minds.
34:48Electricity load is shedding
34:50and if electricity is coming
34:52then it is going to be a hell.
34:54Terrorism in Taif-Pakhtunkhwa
34:56and in other parts of the country
34:58we have to face it
35:00on the basis of chaos
35:02and we have to fight it.
35:04But if you look at it
35:06it seems that the entire government
35:08has only one job
35:10either to make laws
35:12in Punjab
35:14or to put social media
35:16under control.
35:18It does not seem that 25 crore people
35:20have so many other problems
35:22that we should ignore them
35:24and talk only about one issue.
35:26The PMLN government
35:28which has brought different laws
35:30like PICA, PICA 2 and the bill
35:32on the level of respect in Punjab
35:34it seems that if these bills are stopped
35:36then all the problems of this country
35:38will be solved.
35:40Terrorism itself
35:42will be reduced
35:44in some places.
35:46There is only one problem
35:48in this country
35:50and if it is controlled
35:52then all the other problems
35:54will be solved.
35:56This is what the government's approach
35:58seems to be.
