00:00 So Miami's got about 16 official visitors coming this weekend to kick off that OV month.
00:06 Here are players that I especially, I think Miami needs to make a big impression on this weekend.
00:14 And I will start with American Heritage running back Byron Lewis, who's making his OV this
00:21 weekend. Six foot tall, 205 pound, four star player. I think Lewis, if you can get him and now
00:29 running back is a tricky one because Miami has some options. They also really like Sha'Kai Mills
00:33 Knight, who's coming in this weekend. And I believe Miami is probably closer to sealing the deal with
00:40 Mills Knight than they are with Byron Lewis. And Miami of course has Gerard Pringle, who we like
00:44 verbally committed already. But the reason why I put Byron Lewis at the top of this list is I do
00:49 think with his size and power, he'd be a perfect compliment to Gerard Pringle. Plus the fact that
00:55 Lewis plays at American Heritage. Think about what an important high school that is for Miami to
01:01 recruit. This would give Miami the opportunity to tap into an important local pipeline. And Heritage
01:07 of course is where you got Mark Fletcher from a couple years ago. And so I'm going to put a
01:12 sense of urgency on this one for this weekend because there is a sentiment and the Florida
01:18 state trolls who are in our comments every day will love this. There is a feeling out there that
01:21 Florida state has probably moved ahead of Miami here for Byron Lewis. That's where most of the
01:28 recent predictions have gone. Florida state are currently the trending favorites on the on three
01:33 prediction machine with Miami sitting second in those trends. Now for what it's worth, you guys
01:39 know one of our show favorites, Brian Smith, who covers recruiting like no other. He and Larry
01:45 Blustein are my gurus at that. Brian knows Byron Lewis pretty well, talks to him often. And the
01:52 last time we spoke with Smith and Brian's going to join us again on tomorrow's show, by the way,
01:57 but he told us last week, he doesn't get a great sense from talking with Byron that he's really
02:02 leaning one way or the other. So if anyone right now is predicting he's definitely going to Florida
02:07 state or he's definitely going to Miami, it doesn't really seem like, at least from what I gather from
02:13 Smith, who talks to him frequently, that we have a great idea what Lewis is thinking. But I think
02:18 about why his recruitment is so important. Again, American heritage, such an important local
02:23 pipeline to Miami. And the fact that your top competitor here is likely Florida state. It's
02:28 always nice when you get an opportunity to win a recruiting battle against Florida state or to win
02:35 a recruiting battle against the Gators. Anytime you have the opportunity to do that, I think it
02:39 adds extra importance. So, you know, if, if it's true that Lewis has been leaning in a different
02:44 direction, Miami's got a great chance to get him leaning more in your direction with this OV.
02:49 I think Miami needs to hit a home run this weekend with the enterprise high school trio. That's
02:55 four-star edge rusher Zion Grady. Jason Taylor loves four-star linebacker, Eric Winters, who
03:02 Derek Nicholson loves, and ascending three-star cornerback, Andrew Purcell. All three of these
03:09 players have plenty of interest, of course, from the in-state schools, Alabama and Auburn. Enterprise
03:14 high school is a powerhouse program in Alabama. And, you know, Alabama has suddenly become an
03:19 important recruiting state for Miami. Maybe if you can lock down one of these players, you can get
03:24 two or maybe all three of them in a package deal. So this is a really big opportunity. And I know
03:29 Jason Taylor has made visits out there to enterprise to see Zion Grady. I think that
03:34 may be one of the spots where Mario Cristobal has landed his helicopter before. So, you know,
03:39 I would view that, especially since you've got three guys, one high school coming in,
03:43 that's a big opportunity. Got to hit a home run there.
