00:00 Hi guys! Welcome to Bec and Jerry's Tiny House.
00:04 Since we couldn't do anything during the pandemic, we had a 20-footer and a 40-footer container van.
00:26 We thought of making it a tiny house.
00:31 So, we decided to call it Bec and Jerry's Tiny House.
00:39 We started this in March this year.
00:42 It was completed in July this year.
00:47 It was a quick setup.
00:50 The good thing about the container van is that it's small but it's easy to construct.
00:56 Yes, you can save time and labor.
01:01 That's the good thing about the container van.
01:03 This table is all surplus.
01:09 We used to have this in our house.
01:13 Now, we put it here because it's a waste if we don't put it.
01:17 We have a room here.
01:20 This is the good thing about it.
01:22 Our painter is the one who made the murals.
01:27 I'm the CEO of Bioskin Philippines and Bec and Jerry's.
01:37 Our product is mostly skin care.
01:41 So, it's for beauty.
01:43 Bec and Jerry's is a food manufacturing of all vegan products.
01:48 So, our product is 100% plant-based.
01:52 That's why I'm an advocate of sustainable living.
01:55 I'm also a cancer survivor.
01:59 So, I don't eat any meat products.
02:03 Everything is completely plant-based.
02:10 Because of the CEO, I'm the COO.
02:14 I'm the COO of COO.
02:17 I'm the chief operations officer.
02:20 In all my operations,
02:23 even finance and some special tasks,
02:27 I'm doing for the operations of both group of companies.
02:39 This is inside our factory.
02:43 This manufacturing facility is big.
02:46 It's in one hectare.
02:48 That's why there are a lot of lots that we don't use anymore.
02:52 So, we put it here.
02:54 We can enjoy our vacation even if we're inside the facility.
03:03 We also use it when we have conferences.
03:15 When we have business meetings,
03:18 it's like we're not just at home.
03:20 They're at home.
03:21 We cook here because there's a kitchen here.
03:23 It's hard to put the kitchen inside because it's a container.
03:28 It will smell.
03:31 We put the kitchen outside.
03:34 It's a big area.
03:35 The air is fresh.
03:37 The floor area is around 200 square meters.
03:47 It includes the patio because it's the biggest.
03:51 The container van is small because it's 20 footers high and 40 footers low.
03:57 So, it's small inside.
03:59 This room is for two people.
04:02 One CR upstairs and one CR downstairs.
04:06 One room upstairs and one room downstairs.
04:10 This is the place we like because it's a cool area.
04:15 We can rest here.
04:17 It's nice to talk here.
04:21 Our favorite part of this house is the patio.
04:25 We enjoy the patio because we can cook here.
04:31 We can have a bonfire.
04:33 There's a portion downstairs.
04:35 We can entertain our guests here because it's a big area.
04:40 We put tables and chairs.
04:43 We turn on the lights.
04:45 The air is really fresh.
04:49 [Music]
04:57 The theme of the house is really Bohemian.
05:01 The structure of the house is all mine.
05:04 The house is very artistic.
05:07 If I put it in the trash, we'll fight.
05:12 Why is this house unique?
05:14 Most of the items are recycled.
05:16 We recycle the container and the items.
05:20 The items are from our house.
05:23 We refurbish the old soaps to use them.
05:29 It's sustainable.
05:31 We don't spend a lot on the items we put here.
05:35 That's the number one thing we can do.
05:39 Look at our chair. It's nice.
05:41 I bought it from Surplus.
05:44 It's P3,500 including the table.
05:49 It's from Crate.
05:51 It's from Paluchina.
05:53 We used it as a divider.
05:57 This is our bathroom.
05:59 This is the bathroom downstairs.
06:02 Look at this.
06:05 The design is beautiful because it's mural.
06:08 It's small but comfortable.
06:17 This table is cheap.
06:20 The chairs are different because it's from Surplus.
06:24 We didn't expect that the design is good.
06:30 We thought that it's a tourist attraction.
06:44 It's the first time that they see a container van that's not obvious.
06:54 It's not obvious.
06:58 They thought that it's just an ordinary house.
07:01 But when they discovered that it's a container van, they were amazed.
07:06 The design is like a vacation house.
07:11 We put a design that doesn't look like a container van.
07:17 It's covered with planks.
07:20 It looks like a vacation house.
07:24 This is the best part of this house.
07:29 It's repainted so it still has a surplus.
07:34 This is the bathtub that we used.
07:42 The house you made is beautiful.
07:45 I don't know how much it will cost.
07:47 I don't know if it will be trending or viral in the homebody.
07:52 It's the first time that they see a container van that's not obvious.
07:59 I showed them the picture of the before and after.
08:02 When they saw that the container van is not obvious, they were amazed.
08:09 Look at this.
08:12 It's a chopped tree with a root.
08:15 I put lights to make it look like a chandelier.
08:19 You can make something that not everyone will buy.
08:24 You can save money just by recycling.
08:28 If you buy more, you'll have more waste in your house.
08:32 We're a minimalist.
08:34 That's how we do it.
08:38 If there's old stuff in the house, we give it away.
08:44 So that the clutter and waste will be reduced.
08:48 It's really recyclable.
08:50 If you give it away, you'll use it more than throw it away.
08:52 This is the second floor of the tiling house.
08:57 This is the bed that converts into a bed.
09:04 We can make this a bed.
09:06 Since this is a small house, we made it so that it can be used as a bed at night.
09:13 It can be used as a bed.
09:16 It can accommodate 3 to 4 people.
09:23 We also have a balcony here.
09:26 You can see the patio here.
09:30 Jerry is already playing.
09:35 Our future plan is to put a swimming pool here.
09:39 It's also made of container van.
09:41 We have extra container vans that we don't use anymore.
09:45 I saw a container van that can be used as a swimming pool.
09:49 That's our next plan.
09:52 We also have a bathroom here on the second floor.
09:54 This is our second bathroom.
09:56 The bathroom here is really nice because there's no stuff.
10:03 This is what I mentioned earlier.
10:07 We made a towel rack here.
10:12 Look at this.
10:15 This is a towel rack made of chopped mango.
10:20 This is a towel rack made of chopped mango.
10:26 When we removed the container van, there were two mangoes that were chopped.
10:36 It's more or less 1.8 tons.
10:39 This type of house is hard to build.
10:43 It's also up and down.
10:45 It's full of stuff.
10:47 We have a tub, a garden at the back.
10:51 Everything is here.
10:53 Including the appliances that we put inside.
10:57 It only took a while to reach here.
10:59 Let's go back so you can see our kitchen.
11:07 This is the kitchen.
11:09 It's just recycled wood.
11:11 The wood that was used to make the kitchen.
11:13 The wood that was used to make the kitchen.
11:15 We used it.
11:17 You can see the granite that was broken.
11:21 It's all from the recycle.
11:23 It's all from the recycle.
11:25 It's not from the face.
11:27 The best thing we did here in the facility is that we shared it with our people.
11:33 They can't go on vacation.
11:35 They only have Sunday off.
11:37 If they go overnight, they can be absent on Monday.
11:41 They can go overnight here.
11:43 It's open to all of our people who want to bring their family.
11:47 We don't open for Airbnb anymore.
11:49 So that our employees can enjoy.
11:55 If we open for Airbnb, they can't stay here.
11:59 They can't go on vacation.
12:01 So now, anytime they want, they can bring their tent.
12:05 If their family is here, they can put their tent down.
12:11 That's true because we really think about it.
12:13 If we can go on vacation, we want our people to be able to go on vacation from time to time.
12:21 And their family can see their direct or indirect families.
12:27 They can be here.
12:29 They can appreciate the company.
12:31 It's deeper.
12:33 They can see that our treatment to people is like that.
12:37 Here, our Bioskin group of company is really bonding.
12:45 Because we fit in.
12:47 Because if we're in a place where we're going to rent, there are a lot of limitations.
12:51 Here, since this is our compound, we're having a birthday party here.
12:57 We're having a feast night party.
12:59 We're going to do this now.
13:01 So we're doing this in groups.
13:03 We're also doing team building here.
13:07 We're doing a lot of activities here in our big and jerry tiny house.
