00:08 So, hi guys!
00:09 Now, I will tour you our small house.
00:12 [music]
00:16 So, the total lot area of the house is only 49 square meters.
00:20 But the whole area, the lot is 780 square meters.
00:24 The area I need for the house is small.
00:27 So, the rest of the lot area is maximized for the business.
00:31 [music]
00:35 This is our living room.
00:37 I chose this sofa as the smallest one to give more space to the family.
00:43 Because after we work, we don't really get connected.
00:46 This is where we bond.
00:47 This is where I play with my kid.
00:49 And then, to give life to the house, I added some monstera, my favorite plant.
00:54 And then, this one to give some details to the interiors.
00:58 Most of these designs, I got them from Shopee at a very affordable price.
01:03 Less than 1,000 pesos.
01:05 And then, I put some of my favorite books about minimalism that I encountered.
01:11 [music]
01:13 I think the most unique thing about it is its minimalism.
01:17 It's functional, it's clean, and everything I need is already here.
01:22 It's not so much. Just what you need.
01:25 [music]
01:27 I checked the design of the minimalist houses in Japan.
01:32 And then, I got the ideas from the books.
01:35 I read about the color that's needed,
01:38 that's good for the eyes, that doesn't need to be bright like white.
01:41 And at the same time, the lighting.
01:43 Normally, the houses I lived in had very dim lighting.
01:47 But here, it's very functional.
01:50 So, the only time you turn on the light is when it's dark because there's natural lighting.
01:54 [music]
01:57 So, one of my favorite hobbies is cooking.
02:00 So, I made sure that it's very easy for me to cook.
02:03 I get the things that I need for cooking here.
02:07 And then, when I turn around, I have the other things I need for cooking.
02:11 And the plates, when we eat, are also here.
02:15 So, I don't have to be tired of turning the kitchen upside down because it's so small.
02:19 And what I like about our kitchen is that it's 2-in-1.
02:23 So, this is my countertop and at the same time, this is also the dining table.
02:28 So, I don't have to buy or change the table because it's already fixed.
02:33 And at the same time, I chose granite because it's easy to clean when I throw it away.
02:38 You just wipe it and it's already there.
02:40 And these plants, I got it in a very reasonable price in Wilcon.
02:45 These are figurines. And this is also from Shopee.
02:49 Almost everything is so cheap that you can get it from Shopee.
02:52 You don't have to go out of your house to have a nice design.
02:56 [music]
02:58 Here in the kitchen, I also wash here.
03:01 So, all the housework from cooking to clothes, I also invested in a nice washing machine
03:07 because in working, I handle a lot of business so I don't have time to wash.
03:11 [music]
03:15 Before, we moved houses every year.
03:19 Ever since we were young, we moved to different places yearly.
03:23 We moved to Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Manila.
03:26 And then, I really relied on my friends who are NPAs.
03:30 No permanent address cards.
03:32 And then, from there, that was my inspiration to own my own house someday.
03:36 And this was enabled because of my businesses.
03:38 And then, from these businesses, I started saving.
03:41 From what I saved, I started building my own house.
03:45 [music]
03:48 The square meters of the house is only 49.
03:52 49 square meters with 2 rooms.
03:54 So, the master's bedroom is about 10 square meters.
03:57 My son's is only 9 square meters.
04:01 So, for the materials, I made it fire-friendly so it won't get burned easily.
04:06 So, we used metal traces, hardiflex, and gypsum.
04:12 So, these are the types of materials that are not prone to fire.
04:16 [music]
04:19 This is my little one's room.
04:22 He has a small table here for his creativity.
04:25 He has a Lego here and he also has his toys to play with.
04:30 And then, while he was still young, I made sure that he would be able to read books.
04:35 For his creativity, he would be able to read his mind.
04:38 Not just his iPad.
04:40 I made sure that his room would be free of clutter.
04:44 So, it's very simple, very clean, and all white.
04:46 I also prepared his table so that when he goes to school, everything that he needs is already here.
04:51 [music]
04:54 Maybe, just the house, the bare furniture,
04:57 the labor and materials will cost around Php 800,000.
05:01 But, everything included, furniture, designs, interiors,
05:05 maybe, it's just around Php 1.6M.
05:07 The extension of the roof is not included yet because we also built it at the same time.
05:12 So, the house, the construction itself, it only took 1.5 months.
05:16 [music]
05:20 This is my favorite place because it's very comfortable.
05:24 It has natural light. It's like when it's morning, your alarm clock will be the light when you wake up.
05:32 So, from there, when you wake up, this is your work.
05:36 So, from here, this is where I do everything that I need in business.
05:39 My reports, printer, very minimal printer for my paper works.
05:44 And at the same time, what I like here is that all the books that I need to study are here.
05:49 [music]
05:53 My tips and advice is for them to plan poorly because once you're there,
06:00 and you make a mistake in the plan, you can't go back.
06:04 And of course, while you're building the house, I think it's better to build it from scratch.
06:10 You're there, you're watching what you're doing.
06:13 So, the moment you see the mistake, you can change it quickly.
06:16 And of course, you also need to save because we have a budget before we start the house.
06:22 And when you're there, sometimes it's over budget.
06:25 So, you need to have a lot of savings so that it's not just in the middle.
06:29 And if you have enough budget, it will really end faster.
06:33 If you start building right away, you will be zero.
06:35 So, your budget should be enough to sustain your business, your family needs, the people should be ready.
06:42 So, you have to find the right people for your house because this is only once in a lifetime.
06:47 You have to do it right the first time.
06:49 [Music]
