00:04Let's start with the AP NFL MVP, looking at the odds and the leaderboard here.
00:12Top two names are the same, but that third name is going to pull in a lot of money, Joe.

00:22to go quite yet.
00:23I think that's putting a lot on the young kid.
00:25I don't even know if it's seem I like to win that division because I like the Colts.

00:31Houston Texans were maybe the story of 2023, but it's 2024 and we've got to look at what's
00:36on the field here.
00:37And I love CJ Stroud.
00:38I mean, this is tough for me because I was the defender of CJ Stroud during the draft
00:43last year, during a mini camp last year, during NFL drafts, dynasty leagues, all that stuff
00:49that I said, CJ Stroud's the best quarterback in this class and he's going to have the most
00:53impact right away.
00:55But Anthony Richardson is the guy that over time has the, he's going to have that ability
00:58to do something maybe we've never seen.
01:01But the most polished guy coming into the league was CJ Stroud.
01:03It was just easy to watch the combine and see that.
01:06And he's got a lot of weapons.
01:07So maybe CJ Stroud is somebody we really should consider more for this award.
01:10But what I like to do here at MVP and I do it every single year is I find two guys that
01:14are always quarterbacks because it's a quarterback award that I invest in that I know the number's
01:18going to shrink.
01:19Typically that person, number one is always Patrick Mahomes and somebody else.
01:24And this year is the first year in a couple where Patrick Mahomes is under 600.
01:29Typically it's 600.
01:30Even last year, it was plus 700 for Patrick Mahomes this early last year.
01:33It's starting off on plus 500.
01:36So if Patrick Mahomes is starting off at plus 500 in Vegas, and we looked at some of those
01:41numbers for him earlier in the passing totals, don't you think that seems kind of curious?
01:46Don't you think it seems like those numbers are off that they're telling you he's potentially
01:50the favorite for MVP?
01:51And yes, he's the very public player and yes, they've won a lot.
01:54They are going for something very special.
01:56This three-peat is very special to them.
01:57They are focused on it.
01:58They were talking about it as soon as the Super Bowl ended, and I think it's something
02:02we should be talking about too.
02:03Josh Allen, I will fade away from that plus 800.
02:06Maybe he'll have this transcendent season and become the quarterback everybody wants
02:09him to be where he just makes all the pieces around him better.

02:12I got to see it.
02:14Joe Burrow, on the other hand, has all the pieces to compete, has the ability to continue
02:21to handle their business in the AFC.
02:23Now it's a very competitive division.
02:25It's another thing that Patrick Mahomes has going for him as he plays in a weaker division
02:28than the AFC North is.
02:30But Joe Burrow up 10 to 1, really intriguing.
02:33Look, Lamar continues to be statistically really interesting.
02:36I just wonder if he starts to lose some of those touchdowns that he's had over the years
02:40to Derrick Henry, a very different running back than they've had.
02:44They have pieced it together with everybody from Mark Ingram to Gus Edwards to J.K.
02:48Dobbins over the years.
02:49I mean, it's been a who's who of retreads and veterans and just another guy.
02:56But they've never had a Derrick Henry.
02:57So that's going to be different.
02:59And I don't know if it's going to eat into a little of the success around him.
03:03Christian McCaffrey theoretically should have been in this conversation more, but he's just
03:07not because he's not a quarterback and that's typically not what happens.
03:10But early on, Mahomes is the guy that I would circle.
03:13He's the early investment for me because I do think by the time we get to midseason,
03:16that number is going to be more like two to one.
03:18And you can always cash out if you don't want to see it all the way through on some sites.
03:21And then Joe Burrow at ten to one, I see that number shrinking as well.
03:24So those are the two guys I would invest in early for MVP.
