00:07 disclose the conditions set by the insolvency department for employing a bankrupt in its

00:12 medical faculty.

00:14 The six, from the Alliance University College of Medical Sciences, asked whether the insolvency

00:19 office took their plight into account when coming to its decision.

00:23 They said an estimated 100 students had lost a lot of money following the sudden closure

00:27 of AUCMS 10 years ago.

00:30 They added that the college's staff who lost their jobs were also affected, while

00:34 contributions due to EPF were not made on their behalf.

00:38 Spokesperson for the six, Dr. K. Raghuvaran, said the insolvency department is obliged

00:43 to safeguard the interests of creditors and report to them recommendations made by the

00:47 debtor in respect of the settlement of their dues.

00:50 Raghuvaran added that the insolvency department should revoke the conditional letter immediately

00:55 and tell the academic to start settling what he owed the students.
